    When I picked up my KS47 over the summer, I got a chance to compare it side-by-side with the CMMG Mutant. Right away, you can tell the Mutant is just plain bigger and bulkier (AR10-based). I thought the added mass was overkill. The KS47 is the best pick for non-AK that takes plentiful AK ammo and mags. Very accurate and great trigger.

    I was able to score hits on a 24" steel plate at 1000 yards with my KS-47 last year. I need to get back out and do it again. I reviewed it and liked it very much.

    I put a Larue Tactical MBT flat-faced trigger in mine and a V6 Gamma brake on it as well, with a Vortex 4x12x44 scope, and with 154 grain Wolf SP its a tack driver. That MBT trigger is amazing in this rifle. I am going to use mine for deer hunting from 50-200 yards, this is the farthest shot I'll have when I hunt and where I hunt.
    I am impressed with the KS-47 so far I got about 500 rounds through mine, not a single issue. Eats every 7.62x39 that I have fed it.
    Ammunition used:
    Winchester 123-grain FMJ
    Tulammo 122/123-grain FMJ and 154 grain SP
    Wolf 123 FMJ/154-grain SP
    PPU 124-grain SP
    Norinco 123-grain
    Silver Bear 125-grain SP/ 123 FMJ

    Hi Eric.
    If you are going to zero a rifle that uses AK ammo, I'd probably suggest zeroing it the way Soviet military does: zero it at 110 yards with MPI being 10 inches above POA. With bulk surplus 7.62x39 ammo, it'll give you a 12 inches above POA at 220 yards and be pretty much dead on at 330 yards.

Their gen3 AR10 has easy adjust gas blocks and it would be great for you guys to review that whole setup. Mine was borderline over gassed but performs great. Hey so I been trying to get a PSA KS-47 for some time now. They've been sold out on their website for some time now. I've found similar rifles at local gun shows but they all have side charging handles instead of AR-15 Style and they all take AR-47 Mags as opposed to the KS's AK mags... I'm in Dallas if anyone can point me in the right direction. Even if I have to build it. Thanks and keep up the great videos guys!

    I got the 8.5" variant a couple months back and due to multiple less than ideal circumstances have only been able to get maybe 150 rounds through it. I also have the SBPDW brace on it and a comp and let me tell you this is an angry gun. I got some pics of the fireball in full daylight and not only is it still ridiculously bright but the fireball itself is as long as the gun and engulfs my hand for a split second every shot. So I definitely need a flash cone for it.
    Also fun fact, I bought the MOE stocked lower and 8.5" upper separately and as per ATF letter, a lower receiver isn't a rifle until it's had a barrel affixed to it, so if you get the stocked lower and throw a brace on it before you throw the upper on it, it's fair game. (no I didn't write a letter, I just found it online)

    Love my ks47 topped off with a primary arms acss 1-6x and a jp trigger that thing is boringly accurate out to 350yds on 6”-8” targets. Gets a little harder soon as I get it out to 400yds but definitely doable especially on my bigger plates. Shoot a lot of wolf 123gn hp and the Tula 122gn. My son is actually going to use it for deer season this year got some 120gn federal fusion and 123gn hornady sst for him to try out. Even at 8yrs old he’s shooting 3”-4” groups with it at 100yds which when hunting he’ll probably never have to take a shot that far.

      So you are saying that that upper works with the psa lower?!
      I am trying to figure out how to make this rifle side- charge and have a bolt release before I buy one and get stuck with something that nothing else works with-

    • @bemyers123
      @bemyers123 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@swamplight79 the Gibbz uppers work with any lower. Gibbz uses a proprietary cam pin, which replaces the milspec cam pin. This new cam pin may be found on their website and I believe Gibbz explains the, how & why. If you’ve built an AR upper, the Gibbz upper will be just as easy. Just remember to swap-out the cam pins or the milspec bolt carrier will become jammed in the Gibbz upper, which they warn you about. I made the decision to purchase several extra cam pins, just in case. Two is one; one is none.

      Two is one; one is none
      Amen to that
      Ive never built an ar upper--- just swapped parts--- but I believe I can change a pin...
      My whole thought is that though the standard charging handle is handy and ambidextrous--- having to charge it every time aftervreloads if there is a scope on there and no bolt release makes side- charging almost a necessity...

      And im guessing that the different geometry of the ks47 bolt face--- having the shorter center bottom lug to barely graze over the mags--- would NOT affect the functionality of the ks47 bcg in that gibbz upper...?!--- and that psak trigger would still interface the same...?!

    • @vidard9863
      @vidard9863 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes and no. I have a standard 7.62x39 upper, it works well, but the standard ar15 mag well doesn't work well with the angles on 7.62x39, so while the five round magazine works well, there is no reliable 15+ round magazine. Further, as the magazine well is designed for thinner ammunition the magazines are inefficient and long for the fatter ammunition. So you can put a lot of calibers on an ar15 lower, there are compromises that must be made.
