    Did anybody else notice when Tony done the guitar flip before the second chorus in Hanging by Thread that the guitar landed backwards?

    Oh Jared, you are a great drummer in all, but your talent and skill level on guitar is amazing. Please bring more of that signature hard hitting and catchy flavor to the band now that you are moving to guitar.

    Tanner is much better than Vince live, I like Vince better in the studio though. These guys desperately need to do some backing vocals for tanner or he will lose his voice quickly.

      Well, what did i know, fast forward 3 months from this and Tanner lost his voice on tour and now is out of the band

      The Cantrell Project Called it.

      Tanner Cowens too bad man. I would have done some sweet backing vocals for ya. Best of luck!

    • @1255halo
      @1255halo 6 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      The Cantrell Project It wasn't just for loosing his voice. He lost his voice due to heavy drinking and smoking habits, that he promised the band he would fix so he didn't break his instrument. Long story short his voice started to suck as the tour went on. No amount of backing vocals would fix that. Smoking and alcohol are just terrible for your vocal folds.

    • @TannerSingsSongs
      @TannerSingsSongs 6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Cam Charles Wrong. I have smoked for 12 years and never had issues. As far as drinking goes, I had 1 beer 4 or 5 hours before 2 different shows, 1 during load out on 3 occasions, and one during an off day. Not enough to even have a physiological effect at all. I was sick with a normal common cold and pushed through it, which resulted in losing my voice for one day. I was perfectly fine by the time they sent me home.

      This was the first tour he's ever been on and he isn't used to maintaining his voice whilst on tour. He'll probably be a lot better on the tour they're on at the moment.

    • @SerjBassist
      @SerjBassist 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I agree, Tanner has a great, raw talent. A little training to keep up the whole show (and a full tour) could help him.

    They should’ve played sleep city and generator. Retrospect is good too but I’m pretty sure those are their 3 most popular songs. Play what people want to hear, not what you want to hear.

    no guitar solo in the cycle?

    • @AlexRooneyComposer
      @AlexRooneyComposer 7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      The solo on the album was played by Ben Eller and it was also played in standard tuning whilst they play in Drop B so it'd be difficult for either fluff or Tony to play something that resembles that solo whilst in Drob B!

    • @AlexRooneyComposer
      @AlexRooneyComposer 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Now that Jared is on guitar he does play a solo in the Cycle. Granted it's nothing like Ben Eller's solo but it's a solo none the less.

    Crazy how this band was together for a nice chunk of time, dropped an EP & an album & they never really took off. Tony & Fluff form Dragged Under & they took off super fast. I liked some of RR stuff, but man most of the stuff was generic & bland.

    • @codesent2125
      @codesent2125 ปีที่แล้ว

      Now see, I like Rr stuff better then Dragged Under stuff, but damn DU is growing much faster than Rr

    this guy doesnt seem to hit the right notes which makes the whole song sound off

  • @KathyKBurns
    @KathyKBurns 6 ปีที่แล้ว +5

    The lead vocalist, Tanner, raised Rest, Repose's potential of becoming a great band. He wrote and created many of their songs and sings great! He also contributed his artistic talents to their merchandise. Sadly, one band member, was jealous, backstabbed him, and created lame excuses to oust him from the band at the start of their tour. So, this instigator self-proclaimed himself as the new lead vocalist and is AWFUL. He can't sing!!!!! Rest, Repose now sounds like a middle school tone-deaf garage band with inflated egos.

      I don't know about the evil backstabbing part...
      Do you have any hints or proofe for your theory?
      I'd really like to know, cause the whole situation did seem odd to me and I loved Tanners vocals on the album!

    Am I the only one who can't stand the singers voice? He sounds flat as fuck and his vibrato is too strong that he sounds like he's trembling in fear. It sounds terrible.
