Thank you for the informations. I forgot to set the higher idle throttle in autolaunch and ended in the gras....came back to this perfect guide and quickly found the answer...1700. 👍
I've been using INAV for quite a while now and I try to convince myself that I am not a 'beginner'. However, every time I watch one of your excellent 'INAV for Beginners' series I learn something I probably should have already known. Brilliant stuff Lee and thanks for all you do for our hobby.
Just in time I’m actually installing my speedybee in to my ranger as I type , think I blew the tx800 up though 😢 didn’t unsolder the jumper on the Bec was working but no lights now 😢 , Apart from that all going well thanks to Lee appreciate what you contribute to the hobby 👍🙏🙏
Well you finally got me into Inav and following into the field with a wing. Thank you for your series and all your videos I don't think I could have got this far in the hobby without your help. Hope I have the patience for your next video....😂
You have been a godsend for my journey into the FPV world. I cannot thank you enough for the time you commit to making incredible content. I'm a huge fan, thank you for your expertise! I have now flown over a dozen successful fixed wing iNAV flights with my Opterra 2m!
Thanks again for a great little series. I have often wondered if INAV would manage in a small EDF jet. These are particularly tricky to hand launch on your own and also being small you can easily lose orientation and sometimes direction, mine also dips the nose a lot in a turn. I've never seen a series going through installing INAV in an EDF, covering auto launch, RTH and stabilising etc. If you ever need a topic for a new series please consider this.
Lee at about 22:04 the transmitter sounds "ready to fly " I get this every time I move a control , along with a harpic buzz. I haven't set this up ! any thoughts?
Hi, great videos, I’ve watched the series about 4 times. I’m already for madian flight, but one thing, In the receiver tab all sticks on the computer are good but when you look at the plane the pitch is backwards,so for me to get the flaps to raise when pulling down I had to go in the radio and reverse that channel. Now looking at the plane it moves correctly but the computers roll now on the graph is the other way is this ok since the plane is actually moving the right way? And I did try all the reverse servo steps too this was the closest i could get it
Brilliant set of videos, thanks Lee. Quick question about the compass. You made reference in both the 1st and 3rd video about not using the compass. Why? Is there a reason not to use it with the GPS and inav? Many thanks
Hello again sir....very informative video... managed my maiden today with dolphin .... quite daunting....quick question if you don't mind giving some input 1. I set my level pitch trim 3 degrees and my autolaunch climb angle 18 deg... does the climb rate add another 3 deg or minus 3 deg or no effect at all on climb angle? Tq sir
Noobie here, im curretly reading more into the INAV and watching videos of the AtomrcDolphin. So the set up video you did pertains to this little wing you set up here or this video can be applied to the AtomRc Dolphin as well? Thank you in advance.
Hi! I’ve been following this series for my first Nano Goblin wing build, really helpfully thank you! The servos and motor are installed, but my motor only works when using the sliders in the ‘motor test mode’, but not with my receiver.. any thoughts what this could be? (the servos are working fine. The modes are setup correctly with arm, etc. The ecs is dshot compatible, and selected in the config tab)
@@Painless360 Hi Lee, such a good work for a beginner like me with INAV, thanks to your videos... what are the conditions to be able to arm? my GPS is flickering so it's ok, my position is on the map on INAV GPS page, but not able to have the motor run with the Tx stick? (but ok with the blue slider on INAV)?
hey, u checked the amount of travel of the servos only with raising pitch - shouldnt be the 9mm for pitch+roll? i have the ar wing pro (1m modell) and it says 12mm of travel - so im courios if i have to go for 12mm travel for one side for roll and pitch combined or 12mm for pitch only (so the total travel for one way would be 24mm) thank you alot for this beginner guides :)
Hi, this is my first inav build and am using the atomrc dolphin pnp version with matek f411 WTE and inav6.1. My esc (atomrc 30A, dont know if it is DShot or not) moves the motor either in Standard or DShot150. But the motor movement is stuttery and there is a smell coming out of it. I am using the S1 G1 pads for esc signal wire. Can you please suggest what else I could check?
So, this is not necessary to configurate the radio with a preset failsafe, the FC detects? when I switch off my TX16s with Crossfire, I haven't the red parachute, and I didn't find a "no pulse" option in the Crossfire nano menu? When I connect the FC with INAV configurator, then the parachute is red, becomes grey when Tx "on", but it stays grey when the Tx is switched off!
Hi Lee, Whenever i arm the FC the buzzer starts beeping. Motor is arming and rotation. I am using Dshot 150. I already had several flights with this set up without the beeping. This beeping started just after a successful flight. I played with disabling buzzer but then in case of lost model it wouldn't be nice. Can you please suggest where can i start looking?
@@Painless360 Disabling the LAUNCH_MODE_LOW_THROTTLE in Beeper setting got rid of this beeping while armed. There are several Beeper setting which might not be needed all the time but could not find any updated documentation. Actually one of your three year old video helped me troubleshoot this. Thank you
I'm tempted to make a video on this as the autolaunch warning beep (and unresponsive throttle) is commonly seen as an issue... stay tuned! - th-cam.com/video/hEEdlsOV-fo/w-d-xo.html

What about Failsafe setup? Did I miss it?

Never reverse the channels on the radio. Always reverse in INAV as shown. See th-cam.com/video/reRLiEG7jq0/w-d-xo.htmlsi=GuhonPmxwGaBXkj0 Best of luck
Is there a mean to record the INAV parameters for use on an other similar aircraft? Especially the OSD screen once the one I please is done?
Yes, using the Diff all command. I have a video on how to read and use the Diff all file to copy settings... Happy flying

Dolphin probably... see my videos aimed at quad pilots coming to fixed wing...
