Hi Lee, Great video and information about INAV, I am saving for the AR Baby pro Wing. Then I can watch the new videos on INAV. I still need to update my wing pro and T1. They are flying on a old version of INAV.yes I'm definitely wanting to get one. Thanks again for the video and information about INAV
Went through this begginers series and bunch of other "begginer" videos, spent several hours in Wings simulator, and still don't have courage to throw plane in the air :( Thank you for this series, amazing videos as always.
Hi Lee, Thankyou, a Very Very helpful series, Much Appreciated. Have got the exact model and fight controller. Followed to the letter and Total Success. One thing that do not understand, in the CLI set the pitch angle to 4.0 degrees, but upon checking after the flight, now set to - 1.8, but flying OK. On the bench and in the INAV Configurator raising the nose of the aircraft gives Negative Values?? Flight controller arrow pointing forward and upright. Not a problem, just trying to understand why. Best Regards Andy Shaw.
If it is flying well - then don't worry! :D The autotrim should alter the offset you start off with. The 4 degrees is there as a placeholder to make sure that the autolaunch works great on the maiden really.. Happy flying!
Interesting to see it from that side. I would fly it in 100% manual mode till everything is set up 100% as I would want it on a "classic" plane and then getting thru all the functions flight by flight.
Started flying a Penguin and your content has helped tremendously! I'm running INAV 7 and using an O3 with Integra goggles. The artificial horizon works great but the Horizon Sidebars do not move. Would you know could be causing that? Is that a DJI font limitation?
Im apprehensive about my maiden because this will be my first(ish) full flight in FPV with head tracking, in a scratch build. Is this something I can/should do line of sight or should it be done in FPV?
The first time can be a steep learning curve so I'd make sure you're flying in Horizon mode with Alt. hold on too so you have the lost help you can get... Best of luck
Hi Lee! Thanks for that set of awesome videos for us beginners! I completed my first inav setup using it. Everything was a breeze. I did notice though that in acro/horizon modes the rudder corrections are tiny compared to aileron/elevator. Is that something to worry about? How can I increase the gain?
@@Painless360 I am planning to do the maiden using the FC this week. However it does feel weird that it has much less correction throw than the other two channels. That’s why I am concerned.
Hi Lee once again thank you for great videos. I am in the process of setting up Inav for the first time. Everything seems to be going fine, more or less except that in the ‘prearming checks’ the navigation is safe and hardware heath items have a red x against them and I have no idea why?? I have the speedybee wing fc and bn880gps and have the latest firmware on tx,Rx and fc can you help as I do know where to look.
Thanks yet again for making these very useful videos. If the model has a rudder do you have to do the auto tune procedure for the rudder (yaw) axis as well ?
Hello, I have made a traditional helicopter pixhawk, ardupilot. and I have done all the calibrations but during flight the helicopter shakes in the air giving excessive vibration. what could be the reason and how can i solve it.thanks
I may be making a video on some of that, so stay tuned. In the meantime I'd check out the Ardupilot docs - ardupilot.org/copter/docs/common-imu-notch-filtering.html
Assuming the documentation on how to save the autotune (disarm then issue the stick commands before removing the battery for it to save) is still relevant? Not sure I caught it in the video.
I find these videos super helpful because I’ve been flying so long without a fc that I’m like a beginner again when it comes to INAV 🎉
Glad I waited for this video, I feel more confident that my flight has a chance now 😊. Thank you.
Thanks to you I've made my first FPV flights yesterday, with Baby AR. Great tutorial!
Glad I could help!
Very nice Guide. Good Work.
Thanks a lot for the tutorial, Lee! 😃
Really useful information!!!
Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
Thanks for making them extremely helpful
nice!! want to learn INAV in a wing and 7 in drone. great reference here thanks!!

Maybe one thing to add. Before launch, make sure you increase the VTX power. Caught me before.
How did u get ur radio to call out battery voltage? Injoying the videos as ime now getting into Fpv planes and I nav
Install the INAV lua script on the radio. Happy flying!

Lee,
Great series!
What is the best flight mode to do an Autotune in, Horizon or Acro, and why?
Thanks!
ACRO, as shown. Best of luck
@@Painless360 Excellent! Thank you!

That is one way too. The way shown is the fastest and safest for new pilots (after many years of trial and error). Happy flying!

Not sure, I am a Walksnail pilot.... Happy flying
Hi lee thanks for your work.
I’m a little confused as Pawel Says that inav doesn’t automatically save Auto tune
Check the dates of the videos... ;) Happy flying

Are you seeing something in the flight? If not, then I honestly wouldn't worry about it... Happy flying!

Id check that the GPS has a 3D lock... Best of luck

You don't usually touch yaw. See github.com/iNavFlight/inav/blob/master/docs/Autotune%20-%20fixedwing.md
Would the speedybee f405 wing work in this wing? Can’t seem to find a WSE Fc and I use speedybee in most of my quads.
F405 is overkill and takes up tons of space. F411wte is still available and would be an easy fit.
Although there is space for that, I think it would be overkill... Happy flying
Hello, I have made a traditional helicopter

what could be the reason and how can i solve it.thanks
Vibration is the most likely cause. Loom at using filters...
@@Painless360 how can i have to use filter?.thanks

I don't use the stick commands to save the settings. All steps shown..
