It is a great little forge for the money and it comes with almost everything you need to put it together. Most of the projects I do are smaller so this is the perfect size. But don't be fooled by it size, I have done a handful of fairly long fire pokers and it just takes a little planning to figure out the heat sequence. Also these are great if someone isn't too sure on building their own from scratch. I haven't tried forge welding with mine yet but I agree with you these things get wicked hot. If you attempt forge welding with a flux you may want to get a few extra fire bricks to put into the bottom of the forge as the flux will deteriorate the brick. Get the good brick for the bottom and to block off the ends, the stuff from the home center will work but I've noticed it tends to melt and "weld" them together after a while. Hey I guess I have forge welded with this, just not steel.
It really is a good bang for its buck! I do agree, you can do some bigger projects with this it just means you have to be adaptable. I’ll use those tips while forge welding, seeing as I haven’t done it yet I could use all the help I can get haha!
I got my grandpas old forge to start forging a few years ago and its broke down over there years so I just started build this new forge for practice and try to rebuild my grandpas later this videos been a huge help figuring it all out thanks man

I've seen them upgrade from the 20psi to a 30psi regulator for forge welding. I haven't yet because I don't forge weld yet
