Have a passion, combined with a good and healthy lifestyle and having as a pilar your own family...then the sky is the limit, you become invincible. Congrats to your wife that never challenged the love for you even in difficult time...finally I think your daughter must be proud to have a dad like you, putting her as a priority in your life. Well done and keep going

I’ve struggled with depression, anxiety and OCD for the past few years. There’s def been a lot of ups and downs. I just recently started collecting again and it’s literally been so healing and helpful even. I’m happy to see others who find joy in the simple things of life

Wow, loved this mate. Really relatable. I suffered with psoriasis for most of my 20s & 30s and went through something very similar to you. It wasn't until my twin boys were around 6 when they reintroduced me to the hobby. We now bond over Pokemon, and like you, I find setting small, attainable goals keeps me focused and happy. I'm now pushing 40, started eating better, and doing the things in life that provide me joy ( theme park visits, collecting pokemon etc)..... Low & behold, my psoriasis is now 90% better. 😃 👍

I have a history of anxiety, panic attacks, agoraphobia and depression. I always appreciate people talking openly about their mental health issues. It shows that we/you are not alone with this. Pokemon amongst other things is a constant source of joy at the moment, as I play, collect and learn together with my two kids who helped me discover this game being 40 years old and having no nostalgia about it whatsoever... it is a wonderful source for shared experiences. So thanks for sharing and keep moving forward :) !

I felt every bit of this video. My daughter got me back into collecting. I used to get a pack every week with my mom when I was younger. She cared nothing about pokemon but she liked to open packs with me. She passed away when I was 12 and after that opening packs just hurt and I stopped. I started watching the anime with my daughter and then she pointed out the card packs at the store one day so, I got us each a pack to open. Sharing this with her brought back so many good memories and I had felt a joy I hadn't in over 2 decades. They joy of sharing our old hobbies with our kids is such a special thing. I realized that there was definitely a piece of me missing over the last few years and without my daughter some of these memories may have faded away.

Phillips, I had the almost same skin issue when I was in my early 20s. I still have it in my late 30s, but not as bad and it's managable, and I find if I dont care about it as much, it won't cause damage to my confidence. I totally relate with you on self-confidence part, I remember I was in university dorm room and don't want to get out of bed to do anything! It was so bad :( I think it has alot to do with stress, not so much financial stress like you, for me it's more of social anxiety. I remember being stress out even walking down the street, if there's strangers near by. I think my rescue was me leaving China and move to Canada, a new environment and literally a fresh start when no one knows you and respect your boundry as is. Anyway I stumble across your channel and I love your content! Keep it up the good work and remember to pace yourself and stay positive.

This resonated with me something crazy. Was killing things a few years ago, family life went of the rails, depression hit, anxiety hit, literally found myself sitting in room playing Gold Silver on an emulator to try and get away from things, I used to play these games for hours in between sports as a kid. TH-cam suggestions started popping up on the Cards, something I was crazy about as a kid. I did a little research, bought 5 packs of 151 and honestly enjoyed them more than what I did as a 7 year old. It got me back into a hobby which reminds me of a time in life when I didn't even understand depression and had no reason to, I was happy! I was also ripped and a lot healthier a few years ago, big arms, pecs, six pack, lats, blah blah, I need to get back into it because the good it does you along with regular cardio and a good diet is insane, you've just convinced me next week is the week it starts. Im so glad you've got a beautiful partner and a child to keep you going if things ever get bad again (I see no reason as to why the will for you) You make great content, you're smart, well spoken and talk on topics that are engaging. Plus if this all continues these cards might just set ya up for retirement or more financially. I subscribed to you months back but this was a great video brother! All the best and thankyou!

Thank you for being so open and honest about your life and your story. Eczema is common, so there are a lot of people who can relate to the feelings of itchiness and redness all over. But there aren't as many people who have severe enough eczema that they can relate to how it changes your perception of yourself. I had really bad eczema growing up, and it was everywhere: on my arms, my legs, and my face. Most people don't realize kids can be cruel, and overly helpful adults aren't any better. If you are insecure about something, no matter what the intention, having your flaws pointed out isn't great, and it can change how you view yourself and the world. It is really inspiring that during your entire story, you held on to your family. Your commitment to your family and faith in those connections is admirable. I hope you and your daughter can continue to enjoy the Nintendo to its fullest.

Drugs, rehabs, overdoses, suicide attempts and living with ulcerative colitis that’s been dehumanizing and crippling and embarrassing and debilitating and extremely painful. Through the break up of five years, living in my car, no happiness for a long time. My mom dying 4 years ago and wondering why I’m even sober. Family being distant. Always alone. Funnily enough it’s viewers like me who really come away with a changed world too because we get to experience your videos, which might not exist if it weren’t for this whole saga that brought you back to Pokemon card collecting. I can relate man…. My father had full body plaque psoriasis and ever since the age of 12 when I thought to ask him if it was genetic….. I’ve been living in fear….. I can’t live through what he did… I won’t…. And I can’t pass that down to a child.
It hasn’t developed…. Yet… but I’ve had several bouts of eczema and I know the pain and depression well…. Apparantly the prime times for these to occur are late teens and late 30s…. Late 30s is when it hit my father …. It destroyed him, I know that now…. I’m coming up on late 30s now myself and still living in fear…..
It’s not something I would wish on anyone… I don’t know what I’m going to do, but if I develop full body psoriasis I won’t be here much longer….
Thanks for sharing your story though man.

Holy crap I did not expect this video... I have been suffering with really bad eczema all over my body since 2022, (I had it as a child but nothing compared to this) I can't believe how much I connected with this video. The self-hatred, the anxiety, the depression, the guilt, the shame... Damn. Pokemon has been my outlet too, I don't have any children and the longer my skin issues continue the more unlikely the idea of children becomes! Eczema suuuuuuuuucks!

Man this hits hard! I have an 18 month old daughter, and prior to her and early on in her life I went from being a fit and healthy guy to someone working massive days eating crap and putting on a fair bit of weight, once she was born I made the change to be fit and healthy for her and show her good habits, I’m back playing footy I’m probably the fittest I’ve ever been happy healthy and it’s amazing, the part you said about missing those memories early on is so so sad but it’s amazing to see where you’re at now and the relationship and memories you’re making, I love the “debt to pay” thing that’s awesome!

Dude that’s literally what I say. Pokémon saved my life. This past year i got into it first time as adult because of tik tok live streams. I was homeless sleeping in my new car and gf of 5 years an i split. I was in 4 years sober. Wanting to use again. But collecting again got my mind off being in my car 24/7 if I wasn’t at work. I still don’t listen to music cause I get suicidal. But Pokémon saved me. Still miss my gf. I got promoted to manager at job and make 6k a month after taxes and sleep here so I have thousands to spend on cards lol and save for place one day.
