Finally finished playing. I think I understand something. I think that Dr. Darling IS Hedron. In the way that Alan Wake talks about an ascended version of him puppeting himself from the past. A spiral of Dr. Darling exposing himself to Hedron which is himself after being exposed to Hedron. The Dr. Darling that had ascended the spiral. Inserting himself in his story where needed to protect Jessie and the Oldest House. Remember that Hedron is separate from Polaris resonance. It only amplified it. Other than the Faden's Dr. Darling is the only other person we know that has been exposed to it. And his spiral hasn't fully played out. He sacraficed himself for Jessie exposing himself to Hedron. And then as Hedron he will sacrifice himself for Jessie again. All Dr. Darling making sure that he did everything in his power to protect The Oldest House and the FBC.
By the time Jessie arrives Dr Darling is long gone. He exposed to Hedron resonance after Director Trench opened the proyector portal but before the Hiss invasion was critical. Pope talks about not seeing him since long before the Hiss took over. I'm not sure he was aware of Jessie, he left his records for anyone who could use them not for "the hero"

The main issue we run into is that the anderson’s represent our barometer of base state of reality, but we never get tor and Odin referring to Alan as Alan, it’s always Tom. It’s the paradox of what writing effects first in a place of non linear time. Did Alan rope Tom in, or did Tom rope in Alan, and from there are we dealing with a movie star who made a poet to escape, or a poet who lost himself to a movie star. Most In and case whatever this new Tom is, he’s probably going to manifest in control 2 or the next dlc and we’ll get something new to chew on
With the DLC, I'm afraid we'll learn that Control exists thanks to Alan Wake, whereas Control's lore seemed to me to be more global than that. Personally, I hope it won't be that way I don't want AWE to be Alan Wake Events.
I agree. It feels like they are trying to make the entire connected Universe centered around Alan. Then when Alan wake 2 ended I though maybe I was wrong about all the events being manufactured by Alan, but after the Final Draft ending it kind of feels like it's going that direction. I just hope they are throwing us a curve ball here , because as much as I love Alan Wake , Control is a much broader game that is set up to tell a much broader story. I think it would be really interesting if they tied in Beth Wolder , Martin Hatch. And Jack Joyce a bit more and drove the overall connected Universe into being focused more around the events of Control and Quantum Break, because right now it feels like Alan is kind of like a Diety type character, and I really don't like that for him. Quantum Break and Control, although not being called Alan Wake, are really just Remedy making pseudo-sequels to Alan Wake. Alan Wake is referenced openly and frequently in both games. Many fans think that Control is the main title that started all this, but that isn't it at all. If Remedy had been allowed to make Alan Wake 2 and 3, then that is most likely where the FBC and the whole "Shifters" concepts would have been introduced. So as it stands, Alan Wake 2 is Remedy returning to the core of the bigger story they originally planned to tell. Alan Wake has been at the center of their storytelling ever since the first game, so it's not some new direction they are going in.

I don't totally understand how darling could have ended up in the dark place either. I've given it some thought , and the Lore in control does not match up with how he would have ended up there. My initial guess was the Lakehouse would kind of set up Control 2 similair to how the AWE Dlc for control set up Alan Wake 2. I figured they would explain how Darling ended up in the dark place and how he got out. Since the 3rd darling video is actually hidden in the game files and not something that can be unlocked , my guess is at this point we are supposed to believe Darling and Zane are in the darkplace working on a way out after the events of AW2, but maybe Darling and Zane met in the darkplace prior to AW2. The 3rd video here is definitely from the Lakehouse DLC and was just mistakenly put into the game files early. So I'm guessing Remedy will explain what happened to darling and start setting up Control 2 in Lakehouse. But maybe you're right, maybe it will be at a point in time prior to Alan Wake 2. Not sure what NightSprings will be about, but I'm guessing it will be about Warlin Door and Saga, and perhaps resolve the Alan Wake story or possibly leave it open for a 3rd Alan wake, a Quantum Break 2, or a game about Saga and Door. It's all still pretty confusing no matter how much attention you pay to your playthroughs, how many times you read the documents in the FBC , or how many playthroughs you've done. The second video is simple enough to miss. It pops up after your second meeting with Zane as you are about to walk out of the hotel. As you walk towards the exit of the hotel, the TV behind the hotel's front desk turns on.

A completed playthrough of Final Draft will still have you missing 1 Night Springs video, several Alice videos, and 1 of the Dr Darling Videos. There are 2 Darling videos you can find in the game, 1 of them is in a room in Ocean View the other I honestly don't remember. The Final one where he is not in the darkplace and he invites you to the lakehouse is only accessible by extracting it from the PC version of the game. As far as I know this video will not be something you can collect until some point in the future. (unless I completely missed it) I did put where I got the video from in the description, I probably should have put an on screen text though, not many people read the descriptions. So you're good, as far as I know you're not missing anything
The second video is simple enough to miss. It pops up after your second meeting with Zane as you are about to walk out of the hotel. As you walk towards the exit of the hotel, the TV behind the hotel's front desk turns on.

The third one is NOT part of the Final Draft, so stop presenting it as such. It is going to be part of either the Night Springs DLC or the Lakehouse DLC. You're being disingenous by making it out to be part of NG+. It was literally DATAMINED.
How do get the lat video? I just got the first two:(
It's just pulled directly from my PC files. I'm pretty sure the 3rd Darling Video, the 2nd Night Sprinfs video, and a few of Alice's Videos are not in the game yet. My guess is Lakehouse and Night Springs DLC will unlock them.

The 3rd video only exists in the game files. It is my guess that it was accidentally packaged with Final Draft and was not supposed to be released until the Lake House DLC
