I just finished the Final Draft last night. Absolute cinematic and thematic gold When Alan said "Thank you My Love" to Alice when he realized he was finally free. Icing on the cake🥺🥺🥺
There is another difference I noticed. If you interact with the gate to the Lake House during Return 1: Invitation in New Game Plus, an FBC agent will answer. However in the normal playthrough, it's just static. The responses from Saga are both the same though
Good catches! There's only one thing you missed as far as I can tell. In the Oceanview Hotel you can see the video of Mr Door talking about Night Springs, it's a completely different video than the one you see there on the first playthrough.
@@winyplains2088 Uhh I don't remember the room number from the top of my head but it's the exact same location where you find Mr. Door's Night Springs video on a first playthrough
Thank you for doing this, great video. 5:15 is not new 8:45 not 100% sure but I don't think this is new. 22:25 in not new 23:50 You can talk to them but you have to stand around for a bit. Not sure if its a bug. The game sometimes takes a really long time before you can talk to NPCs.
they do talk to you and say that they’re gonna stay in the dark place saga says she wishes they got more time together and tor says don’t worry Alan told us not to say anything but we’ll see eachother again soon teasing they may have a role in either of the dlcs i’m assuming night springs
So it looks like the major differences in the final draft are Saga kid lives, and Alan wake comes back alive and will escape. Thanks for this. I don’t have the energy to play this whole game over again….Lol
So, the only two big differences are Dr. Darling in the Dark Place and the ending. We should have gotten the ending in the initial game, no doubt. Saga gets her old life back, and Alan survives and reunites with his wife.
I really enjoyed the game more than i anticipated, but besides the extra 20 seconds of footage at the end, there is absolutely no reason for me to go through this game again for another 20+hours just for slightly more closure. Thank you for saving us the hassle, may the light guide you. 🔦
@cthulhucrews6602 I love the game. If i could run faster and the shooting would be more fun, then i would play it again. But it is too slow for me and the shooting gameplay isn't fun for me. So i am glad i don't have to play it again and can just watch this video.
The new content pages are easy to differentiate, they don't have Scratch "stench" on it, has no dark hue. The new pages are white and clean as they are written only by Alan
it wouldnt surprise me if everything is some sort of char that Tom Zane or Alan wrote into reality the beaury in control kinda looks like Alans home building in New York what if its some sort of representation of it reason why we see Darling there.
I don't understand one thing: Alice is still in the Dark Place, so I don't get how The Final Draft changes her fate. Don't we need to go back to save her as well?
That is a very interesting. I’m assuming it’ll be addressed either in the future DLCs or maybe in Alan Wake 3 or even one of the other upcoming Remedy games.
I think Alan has become enlightened hence the bullet of light in his third eye. I would like to believe this gives him total control of the dark place and immunity to its effects. He’s a true paraultilitarian now he has the clicker and his writing.
@@mixtersushi Possibly, but it's kind of confusing since data miners found 3, and the menu item in Final Draft for Darling's Messages says #/3. I haven't seen anyone that's gotten a third. It's possible it's either bugged, super well hidden, or they didn't mean to have it say 3.
@@Terithian you gotta remember, Writer's Journey (i think, i have a bad memory lol) said 8/9 before the new video in the final draft too, i just think they didn't really plan for the days before all of the content with those videos would drop
You’re talking about the scene in which he walks into the writing room from his and Alice’s apartment right? As far as I know yes he does. He think that it is Scratch whose writing the manuscript Return but it was him from a different time in the spiral 🌀 editing the story.
I unlocked everything on my first play-through but I have the cult stash chest bug on new game plus in watery where I can’t get the lighthouse key unfortunately
@@someguy6417 I understand that but I still think it’s a bad way of going about it. As far as I can tell the only way that the loop even plays into the story is for the NG+ anyways. They could have excised the whole bit and the story would have been better for it since you’d only have to play it once to get the whole picture.
Snooze fest? Really, i literally enjoyed every bit of a game. Game was gorgeous 🤩. But if there was a feature to select different chapter it could have been awesome
I was waiting for Darling to say that was his voice. and he did 😂
I also love that Wake calls Darling a smirking asshole haha

This is confirmed to be a bug by many players. It's in the normal game too.
I got an answer before final draft was out
This isn’t a difference. It’s in the base game too lol
Good catches! There's only one thing you missed as far as I can tell. In the Oceanview Hotel you can see the video of Mr Door talking about Night Springs, it's a completely different video than the one you see there on the first playthrough.
I did notice I still have the clip but I didn’t include it because I wasn’t entirely sure if it was new. But thanks for letting me know.
I had it on my first playthrough (I made my first playthrough after the update with the ng+)
Where in the hotel?

You can talk to Thor and Odin at the end of the game, just wait a moment for the dialogues to appear.
I thought something was off. Didn't want to hang around because of the shadows
Zane commenting on something we all noticed in Control is the best 😂
what?
@@tommyvercettygtthat Dr. Darling is shredded lol 😂
The Page describing burning away the darkness is part of the original manuscript, not new for final draft

So the ending finally worked because Alan keep writing those drafts until it finally shifted just right to get a new outcome?
Interesting to see you have the same glitches on the screen that flash across in a little line as I do.. typical PlayStation 5 glitch
28mins of new content? I suppose it's worth playing it again and again
So sad man...
I didn't get the first Dr. Darling video in Initiation 5. Tried going back to the room in Initiation 8 but it didn't play then...

So did Darling make Zane and together they made Alan?
amazing diferences...not worth playing through a 30hours game again though... hahahaa
What about Saga wearing a red clothes and not FBI? Ive seen different ones in different peoples gameplays.

where the hell is come from this magic bullet ???

Thanks.

I didn’t find it on my play-through. Hopefully 🤞 it’ll be discovered soon.

The fact that you have to play NG+ for the whole ending is horseshit. Thanks for making this for us.
The way that it connects to the story makes up for the trouble. Besides who wouldn't want to play that again
@@henryfolleso8128 Who has time for that? It doesn’t make it worth it imo.
It’s simply because it lowkey plays into the lore of the game with the whole “it’s a spiral” thing implying the new game+ is just another loop
