I think (I'm not sure if I am correct, but I think I am on the right track) the poet is actually a false persona. The **real** Thomas Zane was born Thomas Seine(sp?) and became a filmmaker. His film, "Tom the Poet", featured a fictional version of himself (kinda like how NPH in Harold and Kumar is a fictional version of himself) that was a poet and a diver. Due to the influence of Cauldron Lake, it manifested the Diver Zane who was also a poet into being.
Apparently, Sam Lake actually wanted to do a full-featured-length film. When he saw the team have a panic attack at that suggestion, he settled to do a short-film instead.
So Ahti was a butler before. Makes sense. Janitor in German is "Hausmeister" house master. He used to work for some farmland owner who "disappeared" into the "night". It represents the times as well as mankind and society shifts farther away from monarchic/authoritarian structures to more democractic systems. The "butler" serves a lord whereas the janitor serves a "house". The power shifted from the leader to the corporation. Ahti now serves the oldest house rather than the master and the director is simply the janitor's assistant. No one is above "the law", "the house".
So If I’m understanding this Movie correctly: Barbara used Thomas at Cauldron Lake to summon her lover; the devil… However, in the process Thomas created Alan with all his abilities written into reality to stop Barbara(this doesn’t really stop her, it just pauses everything as the story has to then finish years later as written; with Alan)… Alan eventually grows up, and follows his script taking him and his wife to cauldron lake; where Barbara unsuccessful her first time, tries to use Alan to summon her lover again… This time though Alan has the tools to defeat Barbara, but he also writes in a bunch of characters to help him when he realizes Barbara was successful; including the character Sam Lake plays, and Tor’s granddaughter… However, Barbara is defeated by Alan and his clicker before she can reunite with her lover… leaving the devil in the real world, and Alan trapped in the dark place. Anti then works for “Odin’s house” (the oldest house) as it’s protector and guardian; after being obtained by the house: which was most likely written into existence by someone along with Odin and Tor… as a way for Alan to defeat Barbara, and send the devil back to the dark place… which is most likely the plot of Alan Wake 3; with Mr. Door afraid he’s not real, and could be written out of existence by Alan as the last version of himself; which is why he’s trying to keep Alan happy, but won’t assist him on leaving the dark place…
So I am a writer too, namely a poet, but I've also been learning to work in other genres and mediums, and already I feel a particular personal tie to this series, especially with Alan's emotional turmoil. In my final draft playthrough though I realized that my girlfriend looks alot like Baba Jakala/Barbara Jagger... She's paler with freckles and green eyes, but the face shape is nearly identical. Good thing my name isn't Tom, but still really weird.
@@FoxyGuyHere you don't heave to leave. The movie automatically starts playing, but since it's just black most ppl leave. You stay long enough, the text starts. This is secretly Sam Lake's auto biography about growing up in a Finnish forest.
Alan Wake 3 will end with all of us realizing that were all characters in Sam Lake's mind and none of this is real.
@@writershard5065 he’s just been tripping on some intense “oh deer” coffee, in the middle of the woods for a couple of decades…
Thomas Zane was truly ahead of his... wait, no. Uh.. before his... wait. But.. hm. Sorry, wasn't he a poet?

I just stood there and watched, helplessly magnetized with all my senses to the flickering light on the cinema's screen.

Maybe we can pretend that this is a condensed fragment of the film that Zane remade in the dark place. The full length film still exists somewhere.
Why is Sam lake actually pretty good at acting, or maybe I shouldn’t be surprised since he’s max payne.
It was stated somewhere that he actually has an experience in acting.
I wonder what he cannot do at this point haha

But Ahti is in control also a deity, right?
@@khyrianstorms Deity, yes, but there can be hierarchies with deities, like how angels are below God, and demons are below the Devil.

Good to see you again, Max.
Tassilta juonti on ehkä Ahdin paras maneeri, koska kuka vittu muka joisi jähtynytä kahvia sokeripalan läpi muu kun pohjoismaalainen
Thanks for uploading :)
Thomas Zane was an amazing filmmaker. Second only to Cosima Caminandes.
Jesus what are you guys smoking over there lol
Ну это гениальность на уровне Кодзимы, не меньше
Кодзима создал Сэма Лейка, он в свою очередь создал алана вейка, а он в свою очередь сделал их обоих

Don't book any vacation stays in a cabin on a caldera lake!
A beautiful Good Bye to Max Payne
Man, it would be absolutely crazy if Remedy retained the rights to Max Payne and Quantum Break...
What is Ahti drinking in 8:45?
Lsd
Coffee on a saucer. It's a thing, look it up :)
I’d like to think that it’s magic lake water
Just sugar and coffee. Older fold in Finland and Sweden sometimes drink it like that
how do i get this?
