      Rev, I went to the demo 2 weekends ago. Super impressed with the chief bobber dark horse. Sport mode can get quite insane. Great bike. My only concern is aftermarket support , not too many options available

    • @REVSANITY
      @REVSANITY  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yea that is a drawback I forgot to touch on with aftermarket parts. They’re there just have to research more

      @@jackmac66 Dean Speed Customs has a handful of parts they are currently producing (Exhaust, Sissy Bars, Crash Bars and more).......other companies will be making aftermarket parts soon as well, the Chief will be a very popular bike, just give it time.

      I don't think it's as pretty as the M8 Softail Slim or the Deluxe but i like the almost gooseneck look to the Chief frame and the fact that it's a true air cooled engine, no oil cooler radiator at all though Harley does a clean looking oil cooler.
      Any idea what the suspension is like vs the Softail single shock? Kind of surprised Indian didn't go with the modern single in the back.

    Agreed, this really is a bike for someone looking for classic and performance. I went through two months of debating between another Harley or an Indian, I ended up buying the Indian last week and I'm in love with every inch. A little over 1,800 miles on the Chief Dark Horse so far. Thing rips, yeah, but the handling is what gets me every. single. day. I’ve ridden the new Rebel 1100, plenty of Softtails and Dynas, plenty of Japanese bikes of all kinds. Haven’t found one that handles in such a satisfying manner! Impressed so far! Sport mode is stupid fun and dangerous if you’re not ready for the jump haha.

    • @chazlyle41
      @chazlyle41 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I’d agree on looks. I think the Scout and Chief are better looking, but the baggers are no contest, HD looks better, Indian performs better, no debate in either category from me haha.

    Great video! I'm looking to upgrade bikes. I purchased have a 2011 HD sportster 1200XL, which has been a great bike to learn how to ride on. I'm privy to the bobber style classic cruiser bikes. I'm 6'3, 230 - so I'm a bit big for the current bike I'm on, and am looking to also get a bit more of a punch on the bike for the 30 minute commute to work on the highway. I feel like the smaller bike I'm on gets blown around a little bit whenever we get winds (live in Wyoming, they can get crazy) - and it feels like I'm lacking a bit of power when it comes to really getting up to speed when I need it.
    I'm for sure going to test ride one of these soon as I can get close to an Indian dealer.
    Would love other recommendations based on that tid-bit if anyone wants to drop me something - it'd be greatly appreciated!

      This particular bike with the stage 2? I would go with the chief bobber all day. It has forward controls, more power, and more accessories within the bike.
      I think I like how the FLRS looks more than the Indian, but that’s about it. The LRS has mid controls and and uncomfortable shift lever IMO. Looks awesome, but that single rotor upfront is a mistake. It's all 'fine and dandy' until SHTF and you need stopping power but you don't have it. I've had 2-3 of those on my 330kg cruiser and those were cheek-clenching moments. And that digital gauge throws the styling off. You want class and style...and then put on a Samsung smartwatch.
    But other than that, looks awesome.

    • @paden501

      The "bobber" comes with laced wheels, the larger front tire, shock and fork covers, forward foot controls and the mid-rise bars. The normal "chief" and "Chief dark horse" come with a skinny front tire on mag wheels, exposed shocks and forks, mid controls and a drag style bar. Otherwise they're the same bike.
