I think the thing I look forward to most is when someone stitches toger what happened between MM and TP. I like to think Link befriends Skull Kid and return to the lost woods never having found Navi (or realizing it's time to move on without her maybe as she did him). Saying his goodbyes he leaves for Hyrule and begins training, there is eventually talk of a war with the Gerudo and link has come of age where he can join the Hyrule Guard, he does so (much like you see in Hyrule Warriors) but before the war can begin he is called to a task. Monsters have begun to coordinate seeking swarm and erupt larger beasts around the fields of Hyrule so link sets off to awake the spirits of Hyrule. A rumour has begun to spread of the mosters attempting to revive a deceases giant on the mountain so link sets out to find his friend from Termina one last time but with his request Skull Kid refuses, with this Link then asks him for a final request should he never return "protect the temple that hold the sacred sword" Link then sets off reforging all Sheikah stones along the way imbuing them with memories, lessons for a future hero. He visits the Happy Mask Salesman one last time and in his time of need the salesman sends him with the mask know he may never see it again. Link spends his strength battling monsters while he climes the mountain eventually finding an entrance, inside he hands his bow to his Goron brothers telling them to store it away for the next Hero of Hyrule. He then continues to make his way to the top and eventually, reaching the summit, there it is, once an old friend and a blacksmith now nothing but re-animated bones hurling handfuls of magma rock across Hyrule. Link puts on the mask and pulls a meteor out of the sky.

i stopped the video at the start to play the mod without spoilers. theres a little bit of jank here & there, but really good overall & the final boss looks completely authentic. my complaints, observations, & suggestions (with spoilers): i dont expect anyone would want to read everything i have to say, but maybe the developer comes across it, idk. so what . the biggest issues are the too dark forest & the camera acting up at times, especially in tall grass where the camera likes to clip into the ground making it hard to see anything. but also when climbing vines & you cant see when theres ground below. . although i have OOT running with clean graphics in 1964 with glide64, i couldnt seem to get the link sprite in the pause menu to display properly. luckily the lens of truth wasnt used & this can just be ignored. . the intro runs by a little fast & theres no prompts to let me read at my own pace or skip it. im guessing this was intentional to time it with the music. . initially the gameplay feels a bit on rails, allowing you to do one thing at a time to advance & only providing one direction to travel. this gradually improves & the dungeon doesnt suffer from this. . some of the gameplay feels imbalanced & focuses on platforming or timing more than puzzles. the first key you find is literally just sitting in the same room as the door & all you have to do is open the chest. while some required jumps later on are impossible to reach without the bunny hood & also rolling into a jump, but theres never a hint that rolling will give you that extra inch. . as far as how the story integrates with the official games, its mostly a standalone but references the end of OOT & beginning of MM. i dont see the map changes as a break of continuity, i just take it as being a deeper part of the forest we didnt get to explore previously, which makes sense since you dont see links house or the deku tree here. the biggest breaks in continuity would be saria & malon, the bunny hood, & links disappearing inventory. all of which could be explained with enough effort, but youd have to stop the story just to address it, when it really doesnt matter. . im guessing this isnt the final version since it has a place to learn sarias song, yet you start the game with it. but saying link would still remember the song from OOT would also ignore that he lost all his hearts & inventory, & shouldnt have the bunny hood until MM. . talking to kokiri requires them to face you, so the girl sitting on the ledge will ignore you when approached from behind. if youre close enough to the edge that she turns her head & lets you talk to her, it sometimes pushes you off the ledge. . unfortunately i thought the powered sword needed to be equiped, & the game soft locks if you click the sword in the menu. . i liked the attention to detail & various anti soft locks like the cucco ramp or the anti cucco ladder going back into the dark woods. . the bunny hood was just a little too fast sometimes, but easy to disable when needed. . a little bit annoying having to reenable the bunny hood & pick up the blue cucco each time loading a new area. . keese & deku babas are just a little janky, making them harder. targeting keese before they attack is almost impossible & their hitbox feels a little off so easy hits are sometimes miss. deku babas seem to have a funny hit box & sneak in an extra hit constantly. oddly this makes them feel more like the first zelda than OOT, as you constantly get bodied. fighting in the baba garden can be irritating at first with the tall grass & bad camera angle. . the map in the desert just seemed decorative until i got stuck & realized what the red areas meant. so at least for me, it worked out exactly as intended. . i avoided killing any redeads, so im not sure how the game punishes you, but the ones in the sanctuary just seemed to disappear after breaking the curse. . bombing the skulls eyes in the field is a bit tricky because the timing is a little tight & it takes some luck adjusting the angle quickly. but the tree was a good indicator on distance. . the scrub that sells sticks will complain you dont have a bottle if you cant carry more (it kinda amused me). . obviously not an oversight but after buying the heart piece, the scrub that sells it will still try to sell it to you, but then complains you already bought it. just to make things fun i would have him sell something new like how the other scrub sells the bottle & then sells bugs. a deku bag upgrade could be funny so you can carry 100 deku nuts & eventually buy that guys pants. . im curious though, what happens if i were to actually hack the inventory & buy that guys pants, any hidden dialog or game crash or nothing? . if there was anything besides babas in the baba garden, then i missed it. . theres a path of vines near the baba garden that looks like it would lead out of bounds if i could just get a hold of it. . some character dialog is still slow in a few places. it can also be hard to pick up the cucco without talking to malon if youre rushing. . racing epona could use an arrow sign post where the race path diverges from the road, if youre ahead on the first attempt it can be confusing & not see where epona went as you get passed with your back turned. at first i wasnt sure if the race wanted me to turn around & go back the way i came, so i had to follow epona on the next attempt to notice the turn. . cant interact with epona once youre behind the fence, doesnt respond to the song either. . cant interact with the girl chasing the cucco or pick it up for her. . when crossing the gorge & you have to leave the blue cucco behind, if you throw him in the pit he doesnt seem to mind & ends up walking around on top of the abyss instead of dying or flying away. . when encountering the eye switches in the dungeon, i took a guess what to do because of how the camera took over & wouldnt let me see the area where i was standing (in 2 places). i couldnt actually see the wall or the switches until later when i reached the 2nd floor & recognized the door below the skull & realized what room it was. the first switch had appeared to do nothing & i assumed both switches had to be hit to open the gate, later i realized the gate on the side was also opened. i havent replayed yet so im not sure if both gates open at the same time after both switches or each switch opens each gate. . theres a room in the dungeon that uses the hourglass to pass red & blue walls. at one point a red wall blocks you from jumping across, but the first time i reached that area, after collecting the chest it wasnt blocking me. i didnt realize i should ignore it because it wasnt completely recessed in the wall & looked like it was blocking me from moving down a hallway that wasnt there. . i loved the tree elevators. i loved the hourglass. i loved when they both came together after finding the map. . theres a brief flash of colors when falling into the lower part of the dungeon, i would adjust it so it either takes advatage of the camera angle or at least arent all facing the same direction in parallel. . the stalfos battle seemed janky mostly because he kept walking on air or through the platforms, but i guess hes technically a ghost right? . in my experience, the stalfos generously waited to attack me after drinking deku milk. . tfw looking for a fairy before the boss & realizing why there isnt any ;) . just before reaching the final boss the camera isnt that helpful & you can sometimes jump into a pit if youre rushing. . apparently the dungeon boss arena wall also inflicts damage but looks like a normal wall. yet the heart pots are also right along the wall & sometimes you have to take damage to pick up a heart. . final boss wasnt janky but is a challenge & feels a bit claustrophobic with the wall inflicting damage. . at one point the camera got stuck outside the arena wall & i had to take damage to get it to move back into the arena. . i know the game is over, i still my want my full heart. i earned it. . wouldve been fun to go back & revisit secret areas using the hourglass. . it would be nice to have more secret areas. like being able to crawl into the little cucco house would be funny, maybe it could lead to a fairy fountain but instead of a fairy queen theres a giant cucco that teaches you a song, idk. something to do with the still recovering old man, or have some new dialog when the bomb shop is completely sold out. . the deku sticks werent really used much since you have the sword before you need to fight anyone, & it starts fires on its own. as an extra i would throw in a trading quest where someone has to give link a string & he can use it with a deku stick to catch a fish which he could give to the recovering man or something. losing something to gain the string, & losing the string to get the fish, would only need 1 icon space in the status menu for a trade quest.
I finally figured it out after like an hour of messing around. The rom has to be byte swapped (.v64) If you use tool64, you can convert your 1.0 rom from .Z64 or .N64 to .V64. After I converted the rom, it passed the checksum and I could load it using the Bizhawk emulator.
every time i open the item menu the background gets glitchy. not the inventory, but the background and where link usualy is visible when you change cloathes and swords. is that fixable?
Can this be played on the Wii U? If so how would I do it? (I’m sorry for being so dumb) I really don’t know how to mod. Thank you in advance for the help.

@@polar-star64 I found another site that has the hack. www.romhacking.net/hacks/5334/ download this and a 1.0 ocarina of time rom, then use this site to path the rom. hack64.net/tools/patcher.php
@@archedmash9501 Oh sweet, I didn't know the patch file was still up, awesome
At 6:09 Tony will say to skip to ̶6̶:̶4̶9̶ to avoid spoiling a new item, but don't if you don't want to see it at all since it is still displayed via the C buttons! Instead skip to 7:29 to avoid it completely. AVOID 6̶:̶1̶8̶ to 7̶:̶2̶8. I crossed out the numbers to avoid so they can't accidentally be clicked on.
My man just what I wanted to see gameplay
You'd have thought he would have realize that Deku Seeds temporarily paralyze Wallmasters.
This game is way harder than you expect it to be
It never occured to me how much better Zelda games would be if you could still fire a sword beam at low health if you focused. The delay makes an interesting balance mechanism for reward vs risk
Man. I wish i could play this. This looks fucking awesome!!
"if you dont want to see the new item, go to this time stamp"
>>Goes to time stamp
>>Item is on screen anyways
Amazing showcase thanks!!
The new Dad feels are real! I cry during Disney princess movies now. Even though we watch them like every other day. Ha.
So I'm looking to download this. Is the original world(the rest of the game) still accessible? Or is it just what it is?
*edit* has to be version 1.0 I tried 1.1 and 1.2.and they wouldnt work. Took me a while to find the older version. It's a lot of fun*end of edit* heeeeelp i can't get the mod to work on my emulator
i followed the instructions on the link you posted but it says in a permanent that can not be exited emulation will now stop. verify rom and its settings. pretty sure the rom i've givin to them is incompadable, how do i find out which one is?
I want to see some mods of OoT3D on this level.
This was so gooood thank you for this
I think the thing I look forward to most is when someone stitches toger what happened between MM and TP. I like to think Link befriends Skull Kid and return to the lost woods never having found Navi (or realizing it's time to move on without her maybe as she did him). Saying his goodbyes he leaves for Hyrule and begins training, there is eventually talk of a war with the Gerudo and link has come of age where he can join the Hyrule Guard, he does so (much like you see in Hyrule Warriors)
but before the war can begin he is called to a task. Monsters have begun to coordinate seeking swarm and erupt larger beasts around the fields of Hyrule so link sets off to awake the spirits of Hyrule. A rumour has begun to spread of the mosters attempting to revive a deceases giant on the mountain so link sets out to find his friend from Termina one last time but with his request Skull Kid refuses, with this Link then asks him for a final request should he never return "protect the temple that hold the sacred sword"
Link then sets off reforging all Sheikah stones along the way imbuing them with memories, lessons for a future hero. Link puts on the mask and pulls a meteor out of the sky.
daaaaaaaamn.. Trying to download from the page but each link (pun intended) says "This item might not exist or is no longer available". Any suggestions?
Great video!
It's not just you, I can see there being a butterfly effect
Whenever I try to patch the rom file with following the link in the description, they give me an error message saying the ocarina of time rom that I've downloaded is too heavy, that's strange.
You need to convert it to .z64
@@spartankongcountry6799 yeah, the ROM I have is a z64
Do Nimpize Adventure Next
appreciate your videos looks fun
Whaaaat? Aww i wanted to see the custom boss...
When does it release?
Now
Thanks for replying so fast! Very hype to try one of the most anticipated fan games of all time! Thanks for all you guys do! @hard4games
i stopped the video at the start to play the mod without spoilers.
theres a little bit of jank here & there, but really good overall & the final boss looks completely authentic.
my complaints, observations, & suggestions (with spoilers):
i dont expect anyone would want to read everything i have to say, but maybe the developer comes across it, idk. so what
. the biggest issues are the too dark forest & the camera acting up at times, especially in tall grass where the camera likes to clip into the ground making it hard to see anything. but also when climbing vines & you cant see when theres ground below.
. although i have OOT running with clean graphics in 1964 with glide64, i couldnt seem to get the link sprite in the pause menu to display properly. luckily the lens of truth wasnt used & this can just be ignored.
. the intro runs by a little fast & theres no prompts to let me read at my own pace or skip it. im guessing this was intentional to time it with the music.
. initially the gameplay feels a bit on rails, allowing you to do one thing at a time to advance & only providing one direction to travel. this gradually improves & the dungeon doesnt suffer from this.
. some of the gameplay feels imbalanced & focuses on platforming or timing more than puzzles. the first key you find is literally just sitting in the same room as the door & all you have to do is open the chest. while some required jumps later on are impossible to reach without the bunny hood & also rolling into a jump, but theres never a hint that rolling will give you that extra inch.
. as far as how the story integrates with the official games, its mostly a standalone but references the end of OOT & beginning of MM. i dont see the map changes as a break of continuity, i just take it as being a deeper part of the forest we didnt get to explore previously, which makes sense since you dont see links house or the deku tree here. the biggest breaks in continuity would be saria & malon, the bunny hood, & links disappearing inventory. all of which could be explained with enough effort, but youd have to stop the story just to address it, when it really doesnt matter.
. im guessing this isnt the final version since it has a place to learn sarias song, yet you start the game with it. but saying link would still remember the song from OOT would also ignore that he lost all his hearts & inventory, & shouldnt have the bunny hood until MM.
. talking to kokiri requires them to face you, so the girl sitting on the ledge will ignore you when approached from behind. if youre close enough to the edge that she turns her head & lets you talk to her, it sometimes pushes you off the ledge.
. unfortunately i thought the powered sword needed to be equiped, & the game soft locks if you click the sword in the menu.
. i liked the attention to detail & various anti soft locks like the cucco ramp or the anti cucco ladder going back into the dark woods.
. the bunny hood was just a little too fast sometimes, but easy to disable when needed.
. a little bit annoying having to reenable the bunny hood & pick up the blue cucco each time loading a new area.
. keese & deku babas are just a little janky, making them harder. targeting keese before they attack is almost impossible & their hitbox feels a little off so easy hits are sometimes miss. deku babas seem to have a funny hit box & sneak in an extra hit constantly. oddly this makes them feel more like the first zelda than OOT, as you constantly get bodied. fighting in the baba garden can be irritating at first with the tall grass & bad camera angle.
. the map in the desert just seemed decorative until i got stuck & realized what the red areas meant. so at least for me, it worked out exactly as intended.
. i avoided killing any redeads, so im not sure how the game punishes you, but the ones in the sanctuary just seemed to disappear after breaking the curse.
. bombing the skulls eyes in the field is a bit tricky because the timing is a little tight & it takes some luck adjusting the angle quickly. but the tree was a good indicator on distance.
. the scrub that sells sticks will complain you dont have a bottle if you cant carry more (it kinda amused me).
. obviously not an oversight but after buying the heart piece, the scrub that sells it will still try to sell it to you, but then complains you already bought it. just to make things fun i would have him sell something new like how the other scrub sells the bottle & then sells bugs. a deku bag upgrade could be funny so you can carry 100 deku nuts & eventually buy that guys pants.
. im curious though, what happens if i were to actually hack the inventory & buy that guys pants, any hidden dialog or game crash or nothing?
. if there was anything besides babas in the baba garden, then i missed it.
. theres a path of vines near the baba garden that looks like it would lead out of bounds if i could just get a hold of it.
. some character dialog is still slow in a few places. it can also be hard to pick up the cucco without talking to malon if youre rushing.
. racing epona could use an arrow sign post where the race path diverges from the road, if youre ahead on the first attempt it can be confusing & not see where epona went as you get passed with your back turned. at first i wasnt sure if the race wanted me to turn around & go back the way i came, so i had to follow epona on the next attempt to notice the turn.
. cant interact with epona once youre behind the fence, doesnt respond to the song either.
. cant interact with the girl chasing the cucco or pick it up for her.
. when crossing the gorge & you have to leave the blue cucco behind, if you throw him in the pit he doesnt seem to mind & ends up walking around on top of the abyss instead of dying or flying away.
. when encountering the eye switches in the dungeon, i took a guess what to do because of how the camera took over & wouldnt let me see the area where i was standing (in 2 places). i couldnt actually see the wall or the switches until later when i reached the 2nd floor & recognized the door below the skull & realized what room it was. the first switch had appeared to do nothing & i assumed both switches had to be hit to open the gate, later i realized the gate on the side was also opened. i havent replayed yet so im not sure if both gates open at the same time after both switches or each switch opens each gate.
. theres a room in the dungeon that uses the hourglass to pass red & blue walls. at one point a red wall blocks you from jumping across, but the first time i reached that area, after collecting the chest it wasnt blocking me. i didnt realize i should ignore it because it wasnt completely recessed in the wall & looked like it was blocking me from moving down a hallway that wasnt there.
. i loved the tree elevators. i loved the hourglass. i loved when they both came together after finding the map.
. theres a brief flash of colors when falling into the lower part of the dungeon, i would adjust it so it either takes advatage of the camera angle or at least arent all facing the same direction in parallel.
. the stalfos battle seemed janky mostly because he kept walking on air or through the platforms, but i guess hes technically a ghost right?
. in my experience, the stalfos generously waited to attack me after drinking deku milk.
. tfw looking for a fairy before the boss & realizing why there isnt any ;)
. just before reaching the final boss the camera isnt that helpful & you can sometimes jump into a pit if youre rushing.
. apparently the dungeon boss arena wall also inflicts damage but looks like a normal wall. yet the heart pots are also right along the wall & sometimes you have to take damage to pick up a heart.
. final boss wasnt janky but is a challenge & feels a bit claustrophobic with the wall inflicting damage.
. at one point the camera got stuck outside the arena wall & i had to take damage to get it to move back into the arena.
. i know the game is over, i still my want my full heart. i earned it.
. wouldve been fun to go back & revisit secret areas using the hourglass.
. it would be nice to have more secret areas. like being able to crawl into the little cucco house would be funny, maybe it could lead to a fairy fountain but instead of a fairy queen theres a giant cucco that teaches you a song, idk. something to do with the still recovering old man, or have some new dialog when the bomb shop is completely sold out.
. the deku sticks werent really used much since you have the sword before you need to fight anyone, & it starts fires on its own. as an extra i would throw in a trading quest where someone has to give link a string & he can use it with a deku stick to catch a fish which he could give to the recovering man or something. losing something to gain the string, & losing the string to get the fish, would only need 1 icon space in the status menu for a trade quest.
having trouble patching the file... keep getting error on Flips that it doesn't match.
I've tried versions 1.0, 1.1, and 1.2 none of which work. I might download some more later to try. If I find one that works I'll let you know.

@@birdbrainxzx the one I linked to works as well with no conversion necessary.
@@dugger0 ok it didn't for me.
i still wish we could get a fusion game of oft and mm into one game with this connecting them so we could have a full zelda n64 game
A fan in-between-quel .
Appreciate all you guys that worked on this. 💗 Does anyone know offhand what sort of modding tools are used for a game like OOT/MM?
Can't figure out how to run it. Project 64 says failed to allocate memory.
Can someone please upload the entire play through of this mod? It’s interesting .... the missing link. What happened between OoT and Majora’s Mask.
every time i open the item menu the background gets glitchy. not the inventory, but the background and where link usualy is visible when you change cloathes and swords. is that fixable?
Can this be played on the Wii U? If so how would I do it? (I’m sorry for being so dumb) I really don’t know how to mod. Thank you in advance for the help.
has anyone uploaded a rom thats already patched ,ive been trying for days to patch it myself and it is just not happening for me
Same here
anyone know what specific .z64 to use to make this everdrive compatible? i've tried quite a few different ones.
same.... i've tried about 8 and all of them give me an error with the bps file.
The name of the rom i use is Legend of Zelda, The - Ocarina of Time (USA) use this website with the bps patch and the rom and if the checksum has checkmark is the correct one then click apply patch and save www.marcrobledo.com/RomPatcher.js/
Tony are you gunna make a video on the latest sm64 and OOT leaks?
does anyone know where I can get this? the link in the description is not working
Where did you get that awesome shirt?
Is the Wii Virtual Console version bugged? Got to the last door of the Hollow Root Keep and the game crashes when I try to open the door?
did anyone find a fix for stuttering when running in dolphin?
I Thought The Familiar Friend Link Was Looking For In Majora’s Mask Was The Skull Kid.
