I went through the motions of what I should do because I kept telling myself “the feeling will pass one day, I existed before this shit so I’ll exist well after it too” even when it felt like I was just lying to myself. I spent 8 months just trying to live and keep up my habits like studying, sleeping, working and trying to stay in contact with my friends who’d all moved away. My hygiene took a blow but I got my beard out of it, so it’s not all bad. Now - tho - I’m living to TRY. I’m socialising, talking to girls a lot more, getting a better fashion in my wardrobe (too much old and small shit), planning my future, getting new skills, playing the video games I love. My life feels incredible and i never would have gotten to this point if I didn’t believe I’d get past how depressed I get. Idk if anyone is even gonna read this, or even if this applies to you if you are, but it does end. You do get through it. Even when it feels hopeless and like oblivion - plant your feet and keep moving forward. You were okay once in your life and you will be again, you just need to seize the opportunity to be. Can’t let shit happen for you. Even if you believe in a deity (I don’t but more power to you if you do), I can’t think of any that don’t appreciate someone who tries. “God helps those who help themselves” after all.
