Ig not much of you guys also watched Scott, Tom Scott his channel/ show was scientific and was also about experiments, I have watched him along with Dan The Diamond Minecraft, Stampycat and Mathew Patrick, they all played an important and amazing role in myself’s and much more lives.

I love how this video has this sensible, circular narrative, that ties everything together.
It is so sad to see my childhood slip away from my fingertips. But I do believe that all of this is happening for a reason. I think that it is time for a new generation of legendary TH-camrs to enter the platform. But that doesn’t mean that I’m not still sad about it. From the bottom of my heart, I would like to formally thank StampyLongHead, DanTDM, Tom Scott, MatPat, and many, many more for bringing me joy throughout my childhood. Thank you, and I’ll see you on the other side my friends.

All of our childhood favorites, gone forever. This is truly heartbreaking because you know you aren’t going to get this good of content from anyone else. The greats of youtube, the pillars of content creation are crumbling away faster than ever, leaving the jumbled mess laying atop the platform to fall down and become the main source of entertainment.

Bro, Stampy was my childhood TH-camr, and according to my parents, the more I watched his videos, the better my speech got. I haven't watched him in ages, but it still broke my heart when I learnt he quit. He will always hold a special place in me 🥲

it’s the fact that All… of those TH-camrs, I watched as a kid. And so I feel like the unluckiest guy in the world. But then also the luckiest. To think I got to enjoy them while they were still making this awesome content, and not after. Like a piece of history just reading a book. I got to actually live it, and that felt great.
This is heart wrenching, I wanna go back time coming home from school and watch my favorite youtuber before doing my homework

This kind of stuff is why I feel so old even though I was born in the later 2000s. It’s like watching a family member die or something, you know you’re never going to be able to experience any of it again, and you probably won’t really get over it.
Dont be sad about whats over because you should cherish the good memories and enjoy them
Hearing "What's also important is you guys aren't kids anymore" from DanTDM made me cry a lot. And knowing that Matpat is leaving in 2 days from now, Stampy's gone, as my childhood continues to fade away.

Out of all these MatPat was the only one I watched or even knew the name of, but I can clearly see in this edit how much they meant you and others... This is really a sad era for youtube. And no I'm not gonna say some stupid sh*t like "don't be sad that it's over, be happy it happened". Who are you to tell me I can't be sad when something I enjoy is over? The shows I liked, games I liked, youtubers I liked.... I know it's over for good, but I would do lots of things to run it back from the start and experience it all over again.
What a birthday present for me, matpats last theory
Sometimes, it's better to just let things die when their time comes. It's sad, but all things HAVE to end. If they go beyond their time, if they continue struggling to keep going just for the sake of it, eventually things just won't be right anymore. Watching something you care for become unrecognizable over time is a far worse pain than losing it could ever be.
The fact that every one in this video I grew up watching makes it better
this brought tears as I grew up with these people and its sad to see them go. They all have made me laugh and now, they have all med me tear up. From the time I even could have YT I was watching Dan and him Minecraft videos. Ah, how I will miss those times.
Truly things are changing, sports icons are retiring, childhood figures are retiring, this is absolutely an end of an era but an end also means a beginning.

From start to finish ive watched all of this TH-camrs, its sad to know that i won't be seeing them again,its also sad to know that im becoming older as time goes by, but hey it's probably because i thought that they won't retire even when im older.....so that i could sleep better at night i guess i should thank them, thank you Dan, thank you Matpat , thank you Tom thank you stampy and thanks to all the TH-camrs that are quiting, for a childhood that was fun and memorable...i will miss the times when i laugh at there videos

You don't see the obvious happening, marks moving to full length film making projects now so he'll most likely be around for a bit but he's prone to massive breaks off YT.
Mark is moving to basically making movies, and Jack is doing charity work and has his own thriving company and all the youtube titans who have been here for 10 years after all grew up on this website and doing content content for all those years will burn you out after all *it's still a job
TH-cam has become a place where wealth and fame is all that matters, theres no more fun anymore, you won't get anywhere trying to have fun with it. If things had been different it may not of been entirely clear we were growing up as everything likely could of remained the same. However, to everyone retiring, they deserve it, they really earned it. It sucks we've been forced to basically realize we've grown up, but at the same time, we needed it. They still are around, to some degree, either here or elsewhere. Its not over entirely, and we shouldn't cry because its over, we should be happy and smile that it happened, and cherish those amazing memories and nostalgia for the rest of our lives, and being able to go back and reminisce. To all those retiring, thank you, you earned it man.
This made me cry. I'm only 13 too. And i remember coming from kindergarten to grade three, watching the same DanTDM mod review. Almost every day. Watching the videos. Just enjoying it. Thats why "you guys aren't kids anymore" hit me hard. Even if i am still a kid.

I’m 14 and ACTUALLY grew up with some of these TH-cam Channels.
I was born when some of these channels were, I ACTUALLY had my early childhood at this PEAKING era of TH-cam, and seeing all of these guys slowly leaving or abandoning their channels like PopularMMOS, Stampylonghead, Game Theory…
I’m not crying because I’m sad, I’m crying because I’m thankful. Thankful I was born at the time of these influential greats.
When I saw matpats video saying goodbye, I watched in years to see him go. He was such a legacy and blessing to watch. I will miss him so much.
But- Dan didn't quit though-
yeah, he's just letting it go easy now, he still frequently streams and posts so I'm not sure why he's here (besides that like two month break that one time?) the video showed here isn't him quitting, it's just explaining things will be a bit different

tom scott isn't exactly quitting, either. he's slowing things down and just not doing weekly uploads. mat pat is quitting in the sense he's not on screen anymore, but otherwise he's still a part of the youtube channel just not visible.
stampy is just not doing minecraft videos anymore and slowing things down
joel haver is switching to 12 feature films a year (1 per month) rather than one short film a week
in a sense all of them are not exactly quitting but making a big change that results in them not making as many videos or changing their content significantly

stampy and dantdm leaving genuinly broke my heart, they were my whole childhood. i remember going to the videos section of my crappy amazon fire tablet and watching them everyday. farewell dan and stampy and thank you for giving me a great childhood
Dan tdm isn’t leaving
yep. he isn't leaving but he did change his type of content, as are many of the others who people consider to be 'leaving' such as tom scott. he is stopping making videos weekly, and is just stepping back and slowing things down, plus a break.
stampy isn't exactly leaving since he's just no longer doing minecraft and no longer going to make lovely world videos but that's still a pretty signficiaint depature for the audience.

It’s so weird it’s been a decade since I’ve watched these guys but hearing their voices and saying goodbye.. it’s like only moments went by when I watched these with my brother on my iPad.
I remember helping Matpat on a theory on accident once.
I remember playing Bedwars and Stampy was on my team.
I remember shaking hands with Tom Scott.
I remember these, and smile.
I remember them all.
May God let them rest for awhile.

January has being a rough month for me with the loss of my grandmother and also the farewell of many of my favourite youtubers.
I grew up with a lot of these creators. And while I'm sad to see them go, I know that it's their choice. I'll always have the memories. Hell, I can even go back and relive them if I want.
Nothing lasts forever. And that's okay.
i havent watched this people for years or ive never watched or know them but it feels like something is missing something when they left ive post so many hate comment but this one i respect of the bottom of my heart ive never known this people before but i feel sad because they are leaving for some reason. But i wish that i watched them often in my childhood

Game theory? I’ve always enjoyed the theories , and how deep it went, I look at things with many perspectives and that helped me learn to think about even more possibilities and it was so entertaining seeing the hard work planned out entirely for many years
There are many more but all I can say now is I hope they do well, and live work free from their channel now

Sorry guys I never seen or heard of these TH-camra before despite being a 2004 guy but you have my sympathy. I do hope these content creators enjoy their lives.
In moments like these I truly feel entropy. More and more people who I knew since childhood leave, and the world becomes a little emptier.
But what’s worse is that I will feel this feeling and perpetuity because I always meet new people, that I will also have to say goodbye to eventually. Until I’m the only one at my school reunion reminiscing on all the inside jokes I’ll never share with anyone again.
It’s surreal knowing that the figures I watched all the time when I was young are quitting. I know I’ll remember these people for another decade or two
I can’t believe all my favorite TH-camrs quit. These legends raised me in my childhood and were a big part of my life. It’s time to grow up.
