This is 1985 Dire Straights song about a dying soldier talking to his fellow soldiers during the 1982 Falklands War. This was released for the Veterans Day holiday in 2021. Home free does all kinds of songs from serious, upbeat, inspirational,Christmas, & comudic. You have just begun your journey with Home Free they have around 200 videos for you to explore. A couple recommendations you might enjoy LISTEN TO THE MUSIC a fantastic cover of the Doobie Brothers monster hit. The beatboxer is insane in this one. another is their cover of SOME GIRLS DO. Thank for great reaction and you gentle men have a blessed day.
I understand brother! Vietnam was a long time ago, until I heard this song and it all came flooding back. We are brothers in arms with a special bond. Thank you I head
This arrangement was actually written and first performed by Club for Five, a Finnish acapella group. Tim Faust got permission to use it, and Home Free added the echo effect - as well as their magnificent voices. As always, they showed great respect for the source material. I like that you can easily make out all the lyrics, which I cannot say of Dire Straits' original. Of course, this video was done in the USA for our Veterans Day (Remembrance Day to Brits and Canadians), but it really applies to any men or women who reluctantly go to war.
Of all the accapella bands ive heard, home frees my favorite for two reasons. Infind their blend of harmoney unparalelled, and they are down to earth guys.
One of their most beautiful and heart wrenching songs they've done. You were right. Adam makes sound of wind and either birds or a whistle occasionally during the song and sings with the harmonies the rest of the song. Thanks for the Home Free reactions.
This is a powerful song from Home Free and you get to really hear Tim and Chance voice and the harmony the other guys it's just amazing. Thanks for your reaction guys awesome to see it's not just me that get goosebump's hugs from a FRIES in Norway🫂🫂🫂🫂
This version of Brothers in Arms is actually a cover of a cover. The original was of course done by Dire Straits... then this five part harmony version was firs performed by a Finnish A Capella group, Club for Five. Their bass Tuukka is one of the best bassist in the world. Tim asked Tuukka if HF could use their arrangement. Tuukka sent it to Tim. Tim added the "echo" sequence, and Tuukka could not praise it enough.
Yes, Home Free has a phenomenal range. This one is a masterpiece of harmonics and deceptively simple videography. You'd like to hear Tim do "Sound of Silence" -- so he did just that, in collaboration with Peter Hollens (on Peter's channel). It's my favorite cover of the iconic song, ever (and I was there for the original). Another Home Free masterpiece of musicality is "Helplessly Hoping". Give them a listen, and believe the diversity possible from these guys. Thank you for the respect you have for true talent and beauty.
As has been mentioned, this is a Dire Straits song, but this particular arrangement was written by Susanna Hietala & Jouni Kannisto of Club for Five, which is an a cappella group from Finland. Tim contacted their bass singer and asked if HF could use it. They stayed very true to the Club for Five arrangement. #HomeFree
Tim Faust, the deep voice has done a cover of the Sound of Silence with Peter Hollens. Those two have paired up for several songs including Misty Mountains from the Hobbit. Great low notes and deep voices in that one. I am a Home Fry and have subbed to watch your reactions to Home Free and their solo & collaboration work.
@@highlyreactivereactions Written by Mark Knopfler, who is from Glasgow, so interesting to hear all the comments during the video about it being an American song
Hey brothers, thanks for your service, as has been said a dire straits song which was a rock style song, but home free was given permission to use the arrangement from another a cappella group named club for five. Home Free with out a doubt put their stamp on this one and their harmonies at unmatched! Thanks again guys! Low bass Kenneth
Depending on life experience, some reactors lose it with this song. “In the Blood” is another deep one. Home Free rendition of a John Mayer song. Tim leads off, shared with Chance and Rob. For a silly, battle themed Home Free video, check “Brothers”. Thank you for sharing.
Butts melody if you want good old fun. Brother is another fun one with a good message and the boys clowning around. Serious... in the blood. If you want Master class harmony... helplessly hoping. Also, since the season is coming, check out their Christmas 🎄 songs
The song has lost nothing of its topicality, on the contrary, the message is more current than ever. It is very emotional. The guys from Home Free did a fantastic job. Tim and Chance's voices are just phenomenal!
This song was inspired by the Falklands War, which was going on when Dire Straits lead singer Mark Knopfler wrote the song. The Falklands War was a conflict between Argentina and the UK over islands off the coast of Argentina that each country claimed rights to. The islands are British territories, but in 1982 Argentina tried to reclaim one of the islands. Britain reclaimed their territories, but lost 258 soldiers in the conflict. In this song, Mark Knopfler sings about a soldier who is dying on the battlefield, surrounded by his comrades, who remain by his side as he slips away. It's a look at the folly of war and the plight of those who fight them. "We've got just one world but we live in different ones," he told the BBC. "It's just stupid, it really is. We're just foolish to take part in anybody's war."
You may want to check out "Helplessly Hoping", "So Long Dixie, or "In the Blood" for a more serious emotion. For funny or upbeat you might like "The Butts Medley", "Let the Music Play", "Country Fried Pop with a guest appearance at the end by THE ROOSTER". Closer to Christmas they have some killer songs like "Do You Hear What I Hear' that will blow you away as well a collaboration with Kenny Rogers on a Christmas Gospel song that will have your hands clapping and your toes tappin' "Children Go Where I Send Thee" and many more seasonal favorites, some including a former member and founder of the group Chris Rupp (Adam Rupp, the beat boxer's brother), who retired and found Chance to take his place. They cover every genre from Opera to Blue Grass. have fun discovering the gems you will fins around every corner of the Home Free rabbit hole. 😊
One of my favorites of theirs. This was originally done by Dire Straits about the Falklands War in the 80’s. You heard a little bit of wind (probably Adam the beatboxer doing it). You just didn’t wind it far enough back. Also it was at the end. Yep, all the boys can sing and they all take the lead depending on the song. If you need a laugh now, try Brother. It’s also about brotherhood but funny. Home Free never disappoints. They can make you laugh or cry. Good one boys and I subscribed!🥰

Great reaction, gentlemen. This song was actually written by Mark Knopfler, from Dire Straights. It was about fallen soldiers from The Falklands War. Such a hauntingly beautiful song, so glad you reacted to it! You gentleman do a great job, thanks!
I love and live for Adam Rupp and his beatboxing but on the few songs where he sings and they have that beautiful 5 part harmony it touches my heart!!❤
One of their 5-part harmony master classes. So hauntingly beautiful. They can make you cry. They can make you laugh. They will always brighten your day. I suggest The Driver or I Can't Outrun You. Or one of their recent originals, Playing With Fire. Whatever you choose, you will not be disappointed.
Hi guys. You two won my heart over as a new subscriber! Yes, I'm an old Home Fry. Try some of their "funnier" stuff, like The Butts Remix, Hillbilly Bone, Champagne Taste on a Beer Budget or Brother. Hilarious! If you want one to just jam out to, I love their version of Listen to the Music. Peace from Kentucky.
The blowing wind sound definitely wasn’t in your head (9:25), you just didn’t go back quite enough to hear it the second time around. So glad you noticed that little detail in the midst of the more obvious stuff-those tiny nuances are part of what makes HF great to me.
Home Free, Pentatonix, Voice Play, and Voctave (just to mention 4) are incredible. "Best" is very subjective. My opinion is that it's a tie between a bunch of insanely talented artists. I have 'joked' that the BEST group is the one I'm listening to at the moment. This particular song is one of Home Free's best and most mesmerizing (my opinion). You have an opportunity to explore a DEEP rabbit hole with a cappella! You will gain a LOT of support from the multitude of a cappella enthusiasts. Thank you both for your service! Best of luck!
This is so beautiful, but then all of Home Free's songs are! You mentioned Sound of silence and you are new to Acapella groups so i STRONGLY suggest you react to sound of silence by Pentatonix - you will be blown away!
The arrangement of this Dire Straits song was first done by Finnish acappella group Club For Five. Home Free used it with permission. In my opinion, the Club for Five bass, Tuukka Haapaniemi, is at least the equal of the recent US acappella bassists; Tim Foust, Matt Sallee, Avi Kaplan, & Geoff Castellucci.
Tim DID do Sound of Silence with Peter Hollens. You should check it out. Tim and Peter did a bunch of duets. HF has successfully done everything from this to their Butts medley. they have so much singing talent and they have fanatic arranging masters.
They give all of us chills listening to this song. I think you would enjoy "listen to the music" "mayday" or "unchained melody" just for starters. This is a long road your traveling but well worth the ride! 🤙
"Catch me if you can" is one of their originals (They have a few) and "Listen to the music" is one that highlights their talents. Would love to see you react to those two.
"Brothers in arms" is one of the most beautiful songs I ever heard, either in the original Dire Straits' version or in this Home Free's rendition. ❤ And I believe it's also one of the most beautiful and powerful songs from Home Free. 🙂 A cappella music can have many different faces and nuances. There are groups that prefer deeply emotional songs, others that are all about fun and cartoons, others that are kinda "classical" and others that are more modern... And then there are groups lie Home Free, or Voiceplay (the two groups are friends, BTW), or The Bass Gang, that can take pretty much EVERY song and make it their own... In very different ways, and each one in its style. This is why I don't like to compare groups: they're just all GREAT, each one of its particular kind of greatness. 🙂 Home Free is one of those groups with whom you just can't fail: pick any song from their catalogue, and it will be remarkably good. 🙂 The same could be said for other groups, it all depends on your taste. 🙂 As said, I prefer not to compare and enjoy all of those groups for what they bring to the table. They're all so much better than I would achieve in 7 lives. I love all of them... Although I listen to some more than others, because of my particular taste. But one can appreciate skills and talent and dedication wherever he meets it, can't he? 🙂 I enjoyed your reaction. And I'd like to see you watch the original version by Dire Straits. 🙂 See you next time|
Tim did a duet with Peter Hollens of the "Sound of Silence". This arrangement was done by "Club for Five", a Swedish (I think) quintet that allowed HF to use.
Tim does "Sound of Silence" with Peter Hollen. Tim also has a couple on his own..."Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow/Stay" and "Come Go With Me". It looks like Arizona.
New sub here! This is one of my favorites from Home Free! If you want to see some more serious and beautiful videos from Home Free, here’s a short list: Helplessly Hoping Cover Me Up Colder Weather The Stargazer Lilies trilogy (in order.1. Give Me A Sign 2. Stargazer Lillies 3. MR) Loved your reaction to this one! The first time I heard the audio only, I got a little shook when Tim started singing. I’m very familiar with his low bass notes, but starting out right away caught me off guard. lol Their cover here is hauntingly beautiful!!
I suggest- for a Chance lead “ I Can’t Outrun You “- 5 part harmony, hauntingly beautiful, and Chance directed the video. “End of the Road “- Gospel Rob has the first lead, Austin the second. “Champagne Taste (on a beer budget)”- written by Tim. It’s fun and hilarious. Of course, there are many more great songs. I did see “Brother “ suggested- the harmonies are fantastic, and the video itself is straight fun.
Home Free always pays appropriate respect in their covers--especially to the content! Their talent is amazing--and I LOVE their 5-part harmony❣️🎼🥰🎶❤️ Such a genius touch to show the silhouette of the fellas in front of the window. I know some see it as a "ghost"y reference but it strikes me as a reflection of the POW/MIA flag. We'll never know just how many of those met the same fate as the soldier of this song. 😥 #homefree
Great reaction to a very moving song. Another song with 5 part harmonies and no beat-boxing by Home Free is Helplessly Hoping. Some upbeat, fun songs are Remember My Name (Home Free original), Might as Be Me (original), Some Girls Do, and Down to the Honkytonk! See you in the next reaction!
Tim’s breathy bass evokes the fading spirit of a soldier dying on the battlefield. The silhouettes against the window light are deliberately ghostly, a spirit leaving this earth. Also, they mimic closely the image on the POW-MIA Remembrance flags we fly here in honor of our captured and missing military personnel, the flag shows the side silhouette of a soldier with bowed head. Home Free has a wonderful respect for military personnel and patriotic themes feature greatly in their music.
I want to thank you both for your service to your country. It is people like yourselves that make life easier for the rest of us. So, a very heartfelt thank you from the wilds of western Pennsylvania!
Home Free will take you from tears of laughter, to tears of sadness, with every bumpy emotional feeling in between! Pentatonics is a good second, voice play perhaps third, but Home Free is the gold standard.
First of all, thank you for your service to your country. Their rendition of this song is hauntingly beautiful and sad. The singing & harmonies are gorgeous and the scenario of the video befits the solemnity of the song. By the way Tim, Austin & a consortium of other singer/song writer/musicians do fund raising for at-risk veterans (excerpts are available on y/t). Love from a Canadian subscriber.
Home Free is actually 1 of 4 Elite A Capella groups in the world today. The other 3 are Voctave, Voice Play, and Pentatonix. Pentatonix is the reason there is now A Capella in the mainstream music world today. They are the ones who broke through that wall. It was on the American broadcasting network NBC, who had a singing competition named the “Sing off” is where they began in 2011. Home Free competed on the same show 2 years later
Excellent reaction! This is a HF masterpiece. In the YT blurb/ description, HF wrote that they sang it in reflection of divisions within the US. "We're fools to make war with our brothers in arms," be it another country or our next-door neighbor.
Thank you for your service, gentlemen. Try "God Bless the USA" with the air force singers or Go Rest High on That Mountain for more of the military love from them.
Great reaction! Thank for your service for your country. This cover by Home Free is hauntingly beautiful. They are so talented. They do alot of patriotic songs, songs about country and life and humanity. Land of the free, Only in America, Everybody walking this land( if you react to this play all the way through to hear the message from Tim at the end), Undivided. Just to name a few. They could sing the phone book and make it sound incredible! Thank you for your reaction! And have a great day!#HomeFree
I second the recommendation on Everybody Walking This Land as another serious one. Not patriotic per se, but a timely song with a damn good message. And yeah, listen to Tim's message at the end. Loving your reactions.
I told you you were in for a real ride with Home Free. Their range runs the gamut, from the hokey to the holy. For the holidays, you'll have a beautiful set of masterpieces to do: their Auld Lang Syne is another 5-part harmony stunner; O Holy Night is epic. Do You Hear What I Hear, arranged by the beatboxer Adam Rupp, is ... well, indescribable ... calypso, and wild. Children, Go Where I Send Thee, a collab with Kenny Rogers, and Beautiful Star of Bethlehem, a collab with the Oak Ridge Boys, are old country gospel. And there are many other Christmas songs.
Thank you so much for the Home Free reactions, it is so appreciated! I just binged them all and hit subscribe immediately! Every thing they do is amazing and they are such nice humble guys who are very good to their fans! I look forward to following your journey down the HF rabbit hole! 🤗❤️
Home Free, are excellent. So blessed are we to have them sing. The other group you may have been thinking of is Pentetonix.. personally although I heard them first, I prefer the voices of Home Free.
Voiceplay are also amazing, but they have a different overall vibe. They are known as the theater kids of accapella. They sometimes go all out with the makeup and costuming. The Bass Gang are a newer group that are gaining popularity. If you're feeling adventurous, give them a try sometime.
This was written by Mark Knoefler of Dire Straits and came out in the ‘80’s. Couldn’t locate where it was filmed. Their backdrops are always excellent and fit the song.
Thank you both for serving your country. I have to smile a bit when one of you said you had goose bumps! That was my reaction the first time I heard this. Actually I had them again as I watched you. These guys won’t disappoint you. Keep chipping away at that long long list! I would suggest American Pie. Originally written and recorded by Don McLean. He approached the boys about doing a 50th anniversary edition. It should become a classic IMO. at the very least it is my favorite version. Blessings to you both.

Along with Pentatonix and Voice Play, Home Free make up the top of a capella. This cover is top notch but you must listen to the Dire Straights original.
Tim did sing the Sound of Silence with Peter Hollens. just their 2 voices. They also have done Misty Mountains and there are some powerful lows by Tim in that song. Check them out.
I don't know for certain but I believe the cemetery scenery may have been done out by Twenty-nine Palms. As a Southern Californian, this is what struck me the first time I watched it. Very indicative of the scenery out there. Wish I knew for sure.
Yeah, that tree looks like a Joshua tree, so I thought it was done in that area -- one of my favorite places in the world. I've also asked in comments where this was filmed but haven't received any replies.
@@tygerbrite I've asked a few times as well and have not received a response but that Joshua Tree is pretty iconic. If not Twenty-nine Palms, could be up by Ft. Irwin as well. Someone knows and isn't talking, lol 😄
I actually did a search, because I remember on Huell Howser's old PBS series he visited some memorial area out in the desert like that, but I still never did find it.

Thank you for the recommendations
Beautiful reaction, guys. I could feel the emotions coming off of Stan. Beautiful ❤
Haha yeah this one got through abit on its passion. Thank you for kind words Tina
Thank you for your subscription and recommendations 😊
The blowing wind sound definitely wasn’t in your head (9:25), you just didn’t go back quite enough to hear it the second time around. So glad you noticed that little detail in the midst of the more obvious stuff-those tiny nuances are part of what makes HF great to me.
Haha thanks for clearing that one up 😂
Masterpiece from the boys! Ty for ur service
Thank you
Home Free, Pentatonix, Voice Play, and Voctave (just to mention 4) are incredible.
We will have to check those other groups out in good time. Really loving Home Free. Appreciate your comment
I concur, thank you for your service and Home Free is the best
Always puts me in tears of love & appreciation for the bravest of the brave!😔🙏🏻🇺🇸
Couldn't agree more
This is my personal favorite by them. It's just gorgeous. Haunting and so moving. Hone Free is a very talented group. The best out there.
We did love this one
This is so beautiful, but then all of Home Free's songs are! You mentioned Sound of silence and you are new to Acapella groups so i STRONGLY suggest you react to sound of silence by Pentatonix - you will be blown away!
Appreciate that recommendation
The arrangement of this Dire Straits song was first done by Finnish acappella group Club For Five.
Home Free used it with permission.
In my opinion, the Club for Five bass, Tuukka Haapaniemi, is at least the equal of the recent US acappella bassists; Tim Foust, Matt Sallee, Avi Kaplan, & Geoff Castellucci.
Thank you for sharing
@@highlyreactivereactions just found you guys with Home Free. But like your vibe. Subbed.
Tim DID do Sound of Silence with Peter Hollens. You should check it out. Tim and Peter did a bunch of duets.
HF has successfully done everything from this to their Butts medley. they have so much singing talent and they have fanatic arranging masters.
Loving the HF journey so far
They give all of us chills listening to this song. I think you would enjoy "listen to the music" "mayday" or "unchained melody" just for starters. This is a long road your traveling but well worth the ride! 🤙
We will have to check them out. Thank you for your recommendation
Greetings from a danish vet. This version of the song gets me every time. Great reaction. Carry on 👍
"Catch me if you can" is one of their originals (They have a few) and "Listen to the music" is one that highlights their talents. Would love to see you react to those two.
Thank you for the recommendation 😊
❤❤❤ great 👍 reaction
Thank you so much 😊
"Brothers in arms" is one of the most beautiful songs I ever heard, either in the original Dire Straits' version or in this Home Free's rendition. ❤
And I believe it's also one of the most beautiful and powerful songs from Home Free. 🙂
A cappella music can have many different faces and nuances. 🙂
Home Free is one of those groups with whom you just can't fail: pick any song from their catalogue, and it will be remarkably good. 🙂
The same could be said for other groups, it all depends on your taste. 🙂
As said, I prefer not to compare and enjoy all of those groups for what they bring to the table. They're all so much better than I would achieve in 7 lives. I love all of them... Although I listen to some more than others, because of my particular taste. But one can appreciate skills and talent and dedication wherever he meets it, can't he? 🙂
I enjoyed your reaction. And I'd like to see you watch the original version by Dire Straits. 🙂
See you next time|
Thank you for the comment with great information 😊 more Home Free certainly coming
Tim did a duet with Peter Hollens of the "Sound of Silence". This arrangement was done by "Club for Five", a Swedish (I think) quintet that allowed HF to use.
We need to hear that one
For a poignant war/military themed song that doesn't get played enough, try their cover of Traveling Soldier. Bring tissues.
Thank you for that recommendation
Tim has performed Sound of Silence in collab with Peter Hollens. It is amazing!
Need to see that!
Tim does "Sound of Silence" with Peter Hollen. Tim also has a couple on his own..."Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow/Stay" and "Come Go With Me". It looks like Arizona.
We need to check it out
Thank you for a beautiful reaction to a beautiful song. This s why we Home Fry’s love our boys! ❤️
Thank you for the kind words 😊
New sub here! This is one of my favorites from Home Free! If you want to see some more serious and beautiful videos from Home Free, here’s a short list:
Helplessly Hoping
Cover Me Up
Colder Weather
The Stargazer Lilies trilogy (in order.1. Give Me A Sign 2. Stargazer Lillies 3. MR)
Loved your reaction to this one! The first time I heard the audio only, I got a little shook when Tim started singing. I’m very familiar with his low bass notes, but starting out right away caught me off guard. lol Their cover here is hauntingly beautiful!!
Thank you for your subscription and recommendations
He said some thing about Tim doing the sounds of silence. He has recorded the sounds of silence as a duet with Peter Holland and it’s beautiful.
We will check that out
I suggest- for a Chance lead “ I Can’t Outrun You “- 5 part harmony, hauntingly beautiful, and Chance directed the video.
Thank you for the recommendation
My 2 top favorites from Home Free are "When A Man Loves A Woman", and "The End Of The Road", both are absolutely sublime!!!
Thank you for the recommendations ☺️
Home Free always pays appropriate respect in their covers--especially to the content! Their talent is amazing--and I LOVE their 5-part harmony❣️🎼🥰🎶❤️
Such a genius touch to show the silhouette of the fellas in front of the window. I know some see it as a "ghost"y reference but it strikes me as a reflection of the POW/MIA flag. We'll never know just how many of those met the same fate as the soldier of this song. 😥 #homefree
I think they do justice to the originals and defintely show their respect
It brings me to tears every time I hear it. Thank you so much for this reaction.
Thank you so much for your kind words and support 😊
Great reaction to a very moving song. Another song with 5 part harmonies and no beat-boxing by Home Free is Helplessly Hoping. Some upbeat, fun songs are Remember My Name (Home Free original), Might as Be Me (original), Some Girls Do, and Down to the Honkytonk! See you in the next reaction!
Appreciate your kind words 😊
Tim’s breathy bass evokes the fading spirit of a soldier dying on the battlefield. The silhouettes against the window light are deliberately ghostly, a spirit leaving this earth. Also, they mimic closely the image on the POW-MIA Remembrance flags we fly here in honor of our captured and missing military personnel, the flag shows the side silhouette of a soldier with bowed head. Home Free has a wonderful respect for military personnel and patriotic themes feature greatly in their music.
Thank you for the sharing
I want to thank you both for your service to your country. It is people like yourselves that make life easier for the rest of us. So, a very heartfelt thank you from the wilds of western Pennsylvania!
Home Free is very patriotic! I would suggest Land of the Free, an original by Tim.
Appreciate that recommendation 😊
Home Free will take you from tears of laughter, to tears of sadness, with every bumpy emotional feeling in between!
Pentatonics is a good second, voice play perhaps third, but Home Free is the gold standard.
They are amazing and we will have to try the other Acapella bands in good time 😊
First of all, thank you for your service to your country.
Appreciate you so much 😊
Home Free is actually 1 of 4 Elite A Capella groups in the world today.
Thank you for the kind words. This was amazing!
Thank you for your service, gentlemen. Try "God Bless the USA" with the air force singers or Go Rest High on That Mountain for more of the military love from them.
Thank you for the kind words and recommendation
Great reaction! Thank for your service for your country. This cover by Home Free is hauntingly beautiful. They are so talented. They do alot of patriotic songs, songs about country and life and humanity. Land of the free, Only in America, Everybody walking this land( if you react to this play all the way through to hear the message from Tim at the end), Undivided. Just to name a few. They could sing the phone book and make it sound incredible! Thank you for your reaction! And have a great day!#HomeFree
Thank you for your kind words and recommendations
You called it and we are really enjoying the journey
Thank you so much for the Home Free reactions, it is so appreciated! I just binged them all and hit subscribe immediately! Every thing they do is amazing and they are such nice humble guys who are very good to their fans! I look forward to following your journey down the HF rabbit hole! 🤗❤️
Thank you for your support to the channel. Plenty of more Home Free coming to the channel 😊
Tim and Peter Hollen pair for a beautiful "Sound of Silence."
Need to see that
Home Free is my favorite. Another a capella group you might want to check out is Pentatonix.
Thank you for the recommendation
Home Free, are excellent. So blessed are we to have them sing. The other group you may have been thinking of is Pentetonix.. personally although I heard them first, I prefer the voices of Home Free.
We will have to check them out 😊
Voiceplay are also amazing, but they have a different overall vibe. They are known as the theater kids of accapella. They sometimes go all out with the makeup and costuming. The Bass Gang are a newer group that are gaining popularity. If you're feeling adventurous, give them a try sometime.
Thank you for the recommendations
You can try Hooked on a feeling with Bass Gang and Tim Foust from Home Free
This was written by Mark Knoefler of Dire Straits and came out in the ‘80’s. Couldn’t locate where it was filmed. Their backdrops are always excellent and fit the song.
Gotta love it
Thank you both for serving your country.
Truly a beautiful song and it certified gives you goosebumps
Heard this a week or so before the video came out. Stunning with or without the video.
We loved it!
GREAT REACTION GUYS!
You’re correct! Home Free never disappoints.
I’d love to see you guys react to these Home Free songs:
FOLSOM PRISON BLUES originally perf. by Johnny Cash
WHEN I MAN LOVES A WOMAN originally perf. by Percy Sledge
END OF THE ROAD originally perf. by Boys II Men.
Thank you for the kind words and recommendations
They take their respect for veterans very seriously! Lots of patriotic songs and even benefits for veterans.
We respect that
Welcome to the Home Free rabbit hole! These guys are the best! They are just as amazing in person. Try Hillbilly Bone for some more laughs.😁
We have been loving the journey
This is such a beautiful yet sad song. Love your reactions!
Thank you so much 😊
Tim actually sings sound of silence. Absolutely brilliant
as a retired cavlary SSG this song hits me hard and ive heard it many many times love your reaction just subscribed and will always support fellow vets ALLONS my Brothers in Arms
Mad respect to you
If you’d like to watch another military-related video, try « Go Rest High on That Mountain. » Instead of just the band performing, it incorporates a story.
Thank you for the recommendation
I'm from the United States. We love the British people.❤❤
Mad respect to you 😊
Great reaction...and thanks so much for your service! This song is just hauntingly beautiful! This shows that these 5 guys can sing any genre and every style of music! You should check out In The Blood...next!
Thank you for your kind words and recommendation
Along with Pentatonix and Voice Play, Home Free make up the top of a capella. This cover is top notch but you must listen to the Dire Straights original.
We still need to hear them
Tim did sing the Sound of Silence with Peter Hollens. just their 2 voices. They also have done Misty Mountains and there are some powerful lows by Tim in that song. Check them out.
We will need to check that out
Tim and Peter Hollins have released The Sound Of Silence. It is filmed as a homage to the original Simon and Garfunkel cover.
Need to see that 😊
I don't know for certain but I believe the cemetery scenery may have been done out by Twenty-nine Palms.
@@glowormrdr6183 Awwww! Huell was the best, wasn't he? Such a great ambassador for California. I loved watching his shows ❤ RIP Huell 💕
Ahh that might be why it looks a little familiar as I have been to alot of that area and around it
Next you need to check out some of Home Free's collaborations: American Pie with Don McLean, Children Go Where I Send Thee with Kenny Rogers, One Voice with Billy Gilman and Don't Laugh at Me.
Thank you for the recommendations
Thank You for your service both of you....I salute you!! My Husband,God Rest His Soul, was in the Army during Vietnam and was a double recipient of the Purple Heart and had a very hard time ime accepting them. In His eyes everyone in combat deserves one. 💜 RIP honey ❣️
Sorry for your loss Mary and mad respect to your husband
Funny you mentioned the Sound of Silence. Tim sings that sone with Peter Hollens. This is a cover of a Dire Straight song that they wrote in the 80s because of the Faulklands War.
He's got the voice where it would suit it
