They are not from Kentucky, that's just the lyrics to the very, very old song from before any of them were born. Two are from Minnesota, one from Texas, one from Georgia, and one from Alabama. I am baffled as to why so many people assume Rob is the bass. While being heavier can have some effect on your voice, it doesn't determine your range. It's not like a person gains or loses weight and suddenly go from bass to tenor or vice versa. 😆
Rob is a classically trained Opera singer. To go from that to country is a huge change. Check out his duet with Austin Brown. th-cam.com/video/5dBENngNDhs/w-d-xo.html
Thank you for reacting to our guys. The low voice is Tim Foust, he has a five octave range. Austin Brown is high tenor. He is the thin one with red hair. The man in the bib coveralls is Rob Lundquist, who is also tenor. The man in the back on the left is Adam Chance, (goes by Chance because there are 2 Adams in the group). and he sings baritone/bass. He is the one who is doing the jaw harp sounds in this song. Adam Rupp, co-founder of the group, is a world class beat boxer. Home Free is the 1st all vocal country band. They lean country but do all genres, from doo-wop, to classic rock, to R and B, to gospel, and even opera. The do a lot of covers, but have lots of original songs as well. And yes, Ubisoft games heard their sea-shanty medley, and asked Home Free to write a song for their game that is coming out. Adam Chance wrote the Skull and Bones, and they have a lyrical video out, as well as a live version of the song on the internet. Fans of Home Free are known as Home Fries, and will flock to your channel for Home Free reactions. I will let them tell you more about the group. Also, they are even better live! Great reaction. a couple of songs that are good to check out are End of the Road by Boys II Men, When a Man Loves a Woman by Percy Sledge, and one of Home Free's original songs is Playing with Fire. I am sure more requests will be coming from the other Home Fries. Have a great day!
Oh man…. You guys are about to go down one fabulous rabbit hole. These dudes are PHENOMENAL! I have a whole playlist of nothing but HomeFree. Honestly, I always end up loving HomeFree’s covers better than the original artist. I am definitely a Home Fry 🎼🩵🎼
The Sexy bass in the group is actually really funny during their concerts, he does most of the talking and has got a very sarcastic sense of humour, besides having a fab bass he can also sing very high, continue the journey and you'll see how versitile he is!
@@highlyreactivereactions Actually, all 5 can sing tenor, even the beatboxer: lovely tenor voice, but mostly chooses not to sing solo, except once (later on, watch their live video: Guilty Pleasures - Hilariously Derailed).
Yes. Home free wrote and performed skull and bones. They were alroached by unasoft after their “sea shanty medley” went viral on tik tok. They have a huge cataloge. Country is their base genre but they have songs in many genre. Some recomendatioms are covers like “listen to the music”, “brothers in arms”(lot of bass), “end of rhe rooad”, fun ones like “hillbilly bone”, or “the butts medley”. Originals like “skull and bones”, “catch me if you can” and “playing with fire”
The guys aren't from Kentucky. This was a song featured in the movie "O Brother Where Art Thou." Austin, the lead tenor, is from Georgia. Rob, the other tenor with the big beard, is from Minnesota, as is the beatboxer, Adam, from Minnestota. Tim, the bass, is from Texas (and he can sing tenor too, a 5 octave range) and Chance, the guy doing the mouth organ sounds in the beginning and end, is from Alabama. Welcome to the Home Free Rabbit Hole gentlemen. You are going to have so MUCH fun!!! You'll be a Home Fry soon!
Guys.. Home Free has 14 albums and over 170 videos of covers, special guest, corroborative music. The VOCALS are SIMPLY next LEVEL!! Check out Home Frees TH-cam page plus their fan base will help guide you down the rabbit hole! I have a couple "Home Free-BUTTS MEDLEY" a mashup of 6-7 songs about BUTTS done in a tasteful way as you will laugh your BUTT off! Also "Home Free-LISTEN TO THE MUSIC". Enjoy the ride... peace
None of them are from Kentucky it's an old favorite 1930's folk song, been covered many times. This was filmed in Louisiana in the swamplands. The bass Tim Faust has a 4 octave range. The big guy Rob Lundquist has an opera video with the other tenor lead Austin Brown (Two Country Singers Try Opera). These guys are all phenomenal and have a huge catalogue. Every one could have a star career on their own, and they do a lot outside the group as well, especially Tim and Austin. The other base Adam Chance shines in the cover Helplessly Hoping - Crosby Stills Nash song. The beat boxer Adam Rupp has demonstration beat boxing videos and started the group with his brother who left and went on his own.
Wow thank you for all that knowledge. Still getting to learn their names and individual identity but I look forward to sharing this experience and journey with his fans 😊
Welcome to, what we TOTALLY unbiased Home Fries, know is the best acapella group ;-) They focus primarily on country and adjacent genres but have, can, and do a bit of most. Definitely try more of theirs. More than 200 to choose from including many originals. Pick a few that you recognize or that intrigue you to see what you think. Each of them will take leads depending on the song (minus beat boxer Adam). A few that show their versatility: Vintage rock - "Listen to the Music" R&B. - "End of the Road" Pop(ish). - "Try Everything" and just a few of my personal favorites: "In the Blood" "Brothers in Arms" (Dire Straights cover) "Some Girls Do" Bottom line is almost everything they do is great so best to do a few in a type of music you might enjoy and then go from there. Enjoy the VERY deep rabbit hole!
Oh, and should have added, they have a great sense of humor. After you've done a few that just showcase their capabilities and versatility check out "The Butts remix" for a combo platter of talent and humor.
The percussion was all Adam Rupp their Beatboxer (and more). His percussion is very accurate to the the real thing. Live he uses a looper machine, so he can layer beats etc..but they sound just as good live as their studio recordings. There is a Drum Solo from Adam Rupp from many years ago where he just freestyles drums and effects, no looper...then there are more recent solos (he does them at every live show) where he uses the looper. Tim Foust, the bass, has a 5 octave range, Adam Chance, the baritone and can cover bass, has 4 octave range I believe, Rob Lundquist (beard) is a tenor, and Austin Brown, lead in this song, is the high tenor. Adam Rupp can also sing tenor when not doing percussion. They are amazing.
Home Free is labeled a country acapella group, however, they can and do perform all genres of music. The guy on the left with the beard and glasses (Rob Lundquist) did study opera at university. His professors wanted him to have a career in opera. Rob wasn't interested, but chose another career path. He and Austin Brown (the lead in this song) did sing Nessum Dorma together. in a video Austin majored in musical theatre at college. Rob Lundquist (guy with beard and glasses) lead tenor from Minnesota Austin Brown (lead singer in this song) high tenor from south Georgia. Tim Foust is the bass. He has a five-octave range. He can sing tenor, baritone, and bass. He is from southeast Texas. Adam Rupp is the beatboxer and a tenor. He co-founded the group with his older brother Chris and Adam's best friend Matt Atwood in 2001. Matt and Adam were teenagers. Matt after years in a musical career resigned to join his family's business due to his father's illness and his wife's pregnancy. Austin Brown replaced him. Adam is from Minnesota. Adam Chance (called Chance to avoid confusion) is the one making the mouth harp sound. He looks rather like Leonardo DiCaprio. He replaced Chris Rupp when Chris decided to resign to do individual projects. Chris is seen in their older videos. Chance has a four-octave range so he can sing tenor, baritone, and bass (although not as low as Tim). He sings bass when Tim sings the lead. Chance loves sea shanties and he wrote the sea shanty Skull and Bones. He is from Alabama. All the guys are extremely talented. There is no lead singer. The person sings lead whose voice fits the song..They are also fun-loving, down-to-earth guys who work hard and enjoy themselves. They sing everything from funny to serious songs. They sing all genres. You just missed their European tour where they were in the UK. They are just as good if not better in live performances.
Here for more Home Free! Pick any song you can’t go wrong. My only advice is to never end the video short, let it run to the end. Loved your reaction 😁
Home Free is the real deal. They’re not from Kentucky. Those are just the lyrics. The song was written 100 years ago and was made popular in the movie O Brother Where Art Thou. Three of the boys are from the south though and the other two are from Minnesota. They all can sing and all take the lead depending on the song. They sing a lot of covers but also write and sing their own songs. They sing all genres of music. Just wrote a new song for a pirate game called Skull and Bones. The bass, Tim, goes insanely low. He has a 5 octave range. 🥰 Beatboxer is incredible and the lead singer in this song (Austin) joins the beatboxer (Adam) in doing harmonica when live. 😄
Thank you for sharing your knowledge, we went into the artist complelty blind for a very blind styled reaction butlve the fans educating us on them. Best way to learn 😊
Home Free is my favorite a cappella band, and in my opinion, the best of the ones dominating TH-cam for the last decade. If you decide to follow them down that rabbit hole described in the comments here, you will be constantly surprised at their diversity, musical savvy, and skill -- and you'll never be disappointed. They've done all genres with equal success. You'll see many recommendations in the many other comments. Go for it!
Kathy here - love the look on your faces as you see/hear all the levels of their voices and trying to guess who does what! If your new to Home Free, you need to check out When a man Love a Woman, Butts Remix, End of the Road, How Great Thou Art, and God Bless The USA, featuring Lee Greenwood and the US Air force Choir. Lee Greenwood wrote the song and was released in the 80's. Then after 9/11, Lee was asked to sing it at the first Baseball game played after 9/11. Amazing group.
They lean country but can sing pretty much anything. For a wide range of song that they sing (and to get a handle on their sense of humor) check out "The Butt's Medley" (also called Butts Remix. They do a little rap, a little rock and some country. Plus, they have a tremendous sense of humor! Also, take a look at their version of "Listen To The Music". Each of these guys could have great solo careers. In fact, three of them do have solo work they have put out on their individual channels. Just a note, videos older than 2016 will have a different member as the beatboxers brother (Chris) left the group and Chance joined. And funny thing you mentioned opera....Rob (glasses and beard) studied opera and did a song with Austin Brown (high tenor) on his youtube channel. It's called "Two Country Singers Try To Sing Opera"
The 3 in front are main singers for this song, while in back they are beat boxing and harmonizing. Adam Rupp doing drums and harmonica, Chance doing the mouth harp sound at the beginning and end.
Welcome to the amazement that is Home Free, the world's first ever country acapella band. They've got up towards 200 music videos ready and waiting for you to react to, covers as well as originals, and each one is brilliant one way or another, or several. You just missed their latest visit to Europe, btw, including three concerts in the UK, with the tour ending in London on October 1st. Next tour, possibly in 2025, I bet you'll be there too. I've subscribed for more Home Free and honestly, whichever song you go with will be a winner. Thanks for the reaction! 🥰🙏
New sub. You guys are great, and yes, I put you among the nuclear reactors. Love watching minds get blown by Home Free. You're in for a real ride. For classic Tim Foust (the bass), see their Ring of Fire and Folsom Prison Blues (both covers of Johnny Cash). The pirates tunes would be also be great to do next: their Sea Shanty Medley (both the original video and the recent live version on the HF channel) and Skull in Bones, written by the lead singer, Adam Chance (there's a lyric video and a shorter live version).
In the US, they are called suspenders not braces. Yes their “Sea Shanty medley” from during lockdown is good fun. Or the more recent “Skull and Bones”.
well gentlemen, you have just been introduced to the best acapella sound in music. I just heard them live in London. They had concerts in London, Birmingham and Manchester. I just subscribed to your channel, and may I request for your 2nd Home Free reaction be "End of the Road" a Boyz2Men cover, which will show you the range of the genre's they cover
Appreciate your subscription and recommendation. The 2nd reaction has actually just been recorded with their newest track 'Life on a Highway'. There will be plenty more Home Free on the way though
New subscriber here ❤ These guys do all genres, and yes the guy on the back left (Chance) wrote " Skull and Bones " I'm here for the Home Free rabbit hole‼️🎃 Check out their cover of " Can't stop the feeling " it's a bop!
The song they were singing is an old song that was sung back in slavery days. NONE of them are from Kentucky. The heavyset guy, Rob is from Minnesota, the one in the hat singing first lead is Auston, from Georgia, Tim, the bass from Texas, Chance, Adam Chance , Alabama and ADAM RUPP the beatboxer, is from Minnesota also and actually started the group with his brother Chris Rupp. Welcome to our world !
Loved your reaction. Big Home Free fan (we’re called Home Fries). Fans are very loyal and will flock to your channel for more HF reactions. Best acapella group IMO. Mix it up a bit - try videos from different genres. Their originals are great and their covers are upgrades!! Another country selection you would enjoy is Hillbilly Bone. Country Road is beautiful too. For some pop - Country Fried Pop (a medley), and Can’t Stop the Feeling. For some doo wap - Pretty Woman. I also think Love Train and Blue Ain’t Your Color are very good. For more fun - Workin for a Living (a Huey Lewis and the News cover). More country - Folsom Prison Blues. Truly, you won’t go wrong whatever you select. Subbing today for those HF reactions.
If you didn't notice it, after Tim's solo part, and when they come back together for harmony, he drops his voice another octave. I swear, I have 4 children, if I had Tim's voice, I'd have 8 more.
Hiya! Adam Rupp (beatboxer) and Rob Lundquist (with the glasses) are both from the state of Minnesota. Tim Foust (the bass) is from southeast Texas, Austin Brown (center front) is from Georgia, and Adam Chance (called "Chance" is from Alabama. The latter three states are in the deep south. "Skull and Bones" was written by Adam Chance for a video game yet to come out. The other guys are also fantastic song writers and musical arrangers. No lack of talent in this group!
Nice reaction! Welcome to the wonderful Home Free Journey! I'm here for the ride, pick anything and you are guaranteed a good time! Caution though, the can be very addictive! 😂
Tim Foust, the bass, has a naturally low speaking voice. Check out "Ring of Fire", "Go Rest High On That Mountain", "Sea Shanty Medley", "Crazy". For the holiday season, "O Holy Night", "Full of Cheer", "Mary Did You KNow" and "Auld Lang Syne". Tim has been known to blow out speakers.
Subbed for more Home Free...they have a huge and varied catalog.....I mean huge. Their fans are somewhat fanatical about them. Call us Home Fries. None of them are from Kentucky. Rob just fooled you with that song lyric. Two of them from Minnesota (Rob Lundquist and Adam Rupp) Georgia (Austin Brown, lead singer here) Alabama (Adam Chance) and Texas (Tim Foust with that glorious bass and his legit 5 octave range.) You can bet their fans think they are sexy. We know they are! Rupp is the beatboxer and a great one at that which you'll discover if you do more of their stuff. They can be serious as a heart attact or make you laugh you azz off. This is a rabbit hole worth jumping down into!!
More Home Free will be coming to the channel. They certainly are sexy! Looking forward to jumping down this rabbit hole and enjoying the ride with the Home Fries fan base!
Terrific reaction thx. Hope you do more HF. You will not be disappointed. They are amazing and good folks and excel at many genres of music. Try Butts Remix for a fun one. There are so many
In my opinion, Home Free is the best--period. It's easy to forget they are completely acapella and make all "instrumental" sounds themselves. In this song they are making a distinctly southern (country blues/bluegrass) presentation--it definitely fits the lyrics of the song. Chance doing the jaw harp sound really sets the stage for this song's story, which Austin's twang fits phenomenally. Tim's bass line completely grounds the harmonies and Adam's voice percussion simply cannot be beat. This performance highlights a lot of Home Free's strengths although they also handle ANY other genre just as amazingly❣️🎼🥰🎶❤️ Some of my favorites are "Working for a Living", "Good 'Ol Country Harmony", "Land of the Free", "Remember This", "Elvira" (with the Oak Ridge Boys), "Undivided", "Try Everything", "Ain't Goin' Down 'Til the Sun Comes Up" (which is not on YT--it's on their official Facebook page), "Listen to the Music", "Understand", and "Road Sweet Road" 😍!
Tim Foust is the bass and it's natural for him. You should hear him talk---his voice is down in the cellar when he simply talks. You may want to do some of his solo work--where he "layers" his voice and sings all the parts (including a high falsetto). His vocal range is incredible. Home Free can do all kinds of different genres of music. I highly recommend "Skull and Bones". Adam Chance (goes by Chance) takes the lead on it. He's the guy that was doing the Jew's harp noise here. He's got a pretty low voice, too. If you like "SKull and Bones", you'll probably like their "Sea Shanty Medley". And if you're getting into a capella, I recommend Pentatonix, Voice Play, Peter Hollens, Voctave, and The Bass Gang. The Bass Gang just released four ("Arabian Nights", "Be Prepared", "Gaston", and "Friend Like Me") that are just absolutely fantastic! I can't recommend those highly enough.
Just subscribed with hopes for more Home Free reactions. I'm sure you'll get plenty of information in the comments so I'll just say Home Free is the best! They do a huge variety of music, they each have an amazing vocal range, they have a great sense of humor and can make you dance, cry or fall out of your chair laughing. They just have an immediate energy and presence that I don't fell with other groups. Looking forward to your Home Free reactions.
Yes, welcome to Home Free, all acapella, no instruments at all. Masters of all musical genres. They are not from Kentucky (I am) however the song was first recorded by Dick Burnett, a partially blind fiddler from Kentucky. The group originated in Minnesota but only two of the group are from there, one is from Texas, one from Georgia and one from Alabama. They won the 4th season of the Sing Off in 2013. Their covers are upgrades, their medleys are brilliant, their collaborations with the original artists are inspirational, and their original songs are masterpieces. Within this 5 man vocal band you have 5 tenors, 5 beat boxers, and 2 bass-baritones. All of them can sing lead and they choose depending on whose voice best fits the song. They can do just about anything and they continue to grow and improve, yet they remain so humble. When they have featured guest artist, they support and allow their featured artists to shine. Several of them have their own channels and do some solo work. And just for fun Rob and Austin sing Opera. What else can I say? Their catalogue of work is quite large and continues to grow. You are in for an exciting journey and the Home Fries will be there for you all the way.
Home Free is incredible. Everything they do is great. And although they are a Country A-cappela group, they can really sing all genres. There is no permanent lead singer. They really all have great voices with their own specialties. Even Adam Rupp who started the group with his brother Chris Rupp. Chris left the group in 2016 to go solo but also to start other projects with his sister, among others. Adam Rupp-Beatboxer but is actually an inhuman freaking good mouth artist. Tim Foust- Deep bass but also as a tenor and everything in between is possible. Austin Brown-High tenor with his great runs and high notes. Rob Lundquist (beard and glasses)-Tenor, with a voice like velvet and so much soul. Adam Chance (back left, who is called Chance) - Baritone/ Bass, a voice so smooth and sexy. And who here also makes the Jaw harp sound. They look at every song whose voice suits it best. This is the best harmony, no egos, no rivalries, great personalities etc. Besides, they can all beatbox (see their live performance 9to5). .. This is one of the many covers they do in addition to various originals, and each one is just amazing. Take the time to discover Home Free because it will be a great tour. For me they are number 1 A-Cappella group
Great Reaction!! Welcome to Home Free rabbit hole. The group started in 2001 by brothers Chris and Adam Rupp They are the only country A Capella ( all vocals no instruments)group but they are honestly do much more than just country music they can sing any genre and they do They won The Sing Off season 4 2013 that's where they became very popular. Fans of Home Free are known as Home Fries and are very loyal to the guys. Adam Rupp: Beatboxer Extraordinaire -Tenor can make any sound imaginable (A whole drum kit, harmonica (his Nomonica we call it )plane flyovers, trains, castanets, bugs ,birds etc).Co founder from Mankato Minnesota. Rob Lundquist :Lead tenor(beard and glasses) very soulful voice and master whistler from Minneapolis,Minnesota Tim Foust :Bass (had long dark hair now short with grey ) 5+ octave range can go so low he blows speakers or sky high from Nederland,Texas Austin.Brown:High Tenor ( Long wavy hair ) voice of an angel from Tifton Georgia. Adam Chance(Aka Chance):Baritone/Bass deep, rich voice(Does the juice harp sound in Man Of Constant Sorrow) has short dark hair short beard from Baldwin County,Alabama.Replaced Chris Rupp ( Adams Brother and co founder in 2016) They have collaborated with many singers and legends Don McLean:American Pie Oak Ridge Boys:Elvira Kenny Rodgers:Children Go Where I Send Thee (Please watch the end message) Billy Gilman:One Voice Alabama:Christmas In Dixie Mark Wills:Don’t Laugh At Me ( important message at the end ) Lee Greenwood & US Airforce Band:God Bless The USA Brooke Eden:Delta Dawn Travis Collins & Amy Sheppard: The Horses Any many more. They have 3 amazing songwriters in the group Tim,Austin and Chance So they have a very large playlist of covers and original songs Go Rest High On That Mountain End of the Road (Boyz 2 Men cover ) When A Loves A Woman Dive Bar Saints (Original) Helplessly Hoping (5 part harmony) Unchained Melody Listen To The Music Can’t Outrun You One Man Band Brothers In Arms Stargazer Trilogy( All Originals written by Austin) Give Me A Sign ( Chapter 1) Stargazer Lilies( Chapter 2) MR (Chapter 3) Skull And Bones ( original written by Chance for Ubisoft new video game Skull And Bones) Might As Well Be Me ( Original) Playing With Fire ( Original) Remember My Name (Original) Oh Pretty Woman ( newest release) Mayday(DON’T WATCH TILL YOU ARE VERY FAMILIAR WITH THE GROUP AND THEIR RANGES ) There's not a song that you pick from their 200+ catalog that is bad I haven't found one yet. They are just funny, down to earth, humble nice guys. They are the best A Cappella group there is Sorry for the long read 🍟😊
You've just been introduced to the best A Capella group in the world. Home Free is. Austin Brown tenor 1 Rob Lundquist tenor 2 Adam Chance Baritone Tim Foust Bass Adam Rupp Beatboxer
Welcome to the Home Fries family! So many amazing songs to choose from! Only piece of advice, wait until you know more of each member before watching Mayday! Prepare to be amazed!
Kentucky is named in THIS song. Nobody in the group is from Kentucky! The group was started in Minnesota and NOW the members are living in 4 different States. While they are recording to put together a finished product. Otherwise, they travel together to perform LIVE events! 👱♀👱♀👗👗👠👠❤❤
True Home Fries (what their fan-base call themselves) will tell you you that HF has 4 tenors, 4 baritones, 3 basses, and 5 beatboxers. These men are so versatile that they will continue to blow your minds after YEARS of listening. They are are even better live that on any video and they will definitely be THE funniest artists (live or on camera) that youveve ever watched, so please don't shy away from "non-musical" videos of theirs...they will be more hilarious than you could possibly imagine!
Welcome to the Home Free rabbit hole. Every sound you hear comes from their mouths. These guys are so very talented. They different genres. They do not have a bad song. Please keep checking them out. You will never be disappointed. Love your reactions!
Welcome to Home Free. 2 from Minnesota. The other 3 from Georgia, Alabama and Texas. This song is about 100 years old. This is just their cover of it. 😁
Back when Home Free was on the competition show called "The Sing Off", Shaun Stockman of Boys 2 Men called country music "white man's R&B". A lot of the same rhythms and harmonies appear in both, and they both have similar roots. A lot of people who are into one find pieces of the other that appeal to them.
They did three concerts in England end of September/October, Manchester, Birmingham and London. Youre going to love tumbling down the rabbit hole, many many videos to watch/listen to, its going to take a while. You might like Brothers in Arms the Dire Straits song, subbed for more Home Free 🏴
None of them are from Kentucky. This song was written in 1913 and first recorded in 1929. Home Free originated in Minnesota with Adam Rupp Beatboxer and his brother Chris Rupp. Chris left the group a few years ago and was replaced with Adam Chance from Alabama. Rob Lundquist also is from Minnesota, while Austin Brown is from Georgia and Tim Foust from Texas.
You have just been introduced to the best a cappella group out there. These guys are all so talented. They lean towards country but they can do any genre. They all can take the lead depending on whos voice is best for the song. They are known for their tight harmonies. Tim Foust is one of the best bass singers out there with a 5 octave range & their beatboxer vocal percussionist Adam Rupp can simulate any sound. This song is very old & is done in the bluegrass country style. It was used in the movie "Oh Brother Where Art Thou" starring George Clooney.
Welcome to the wonderful world of Home Free!! They not only do country songs but they also do many genres of music. A good example of how versatile they are, they also do a song by Boyz II Men called End of the Road which is mind blowing! You can't really go wrong with any songs of theirs as there is over three hundred Home Free songs to choose from!! Thanks for the great reaction!
Once you listen to these guys, you're hooked for life. There's no one better. They also have the best and most loyal fans so be prepared for the many subscriptions to come. We follow them anywhere.
Adam Rupp, beatboxer extraordinaire. Drum Solo if you want to see him do his stuff live. He learned to play drums to make his beats better. If you follow his hands in the solo you can recreate the beats... :)
🔥🔥🎼🔥🔥 All right guys .. glad you finally made it to Home Free. So .. no instruments at all ... no drums added .. exceptional range from all the singers. They cover many genres ... so try "When A Man Loves A Woman" .. "O Holy Night" .. "Working For A Living" .. and of course .. "The Butts Medley" .. dive in gents !! 🔥🔥🎼🔥🔥
These guys are so talented. They have hundreds of songs in their catalog and they are all good. They will be releasing a new video every week to celebrate their new album commemorating the 10 year anniversary of winning NBC's The Sing Off that catapulted their start. They have redone the songs they competed with on TV plus added some bonus music. You just missed their U.K. concerts Oct. 1 in London. My all time favorite cover is Take Me Home Country Roads. Honestly, there isnt a bad song in their collection. These guys are independent artists with the freedom to perform what they like since they bought free from their record deal. Between concerts, music sales, You Tube and Patreon, they are flourishing as artists.
Since you said sea shanty, they have a song called Sea Shanty Medley. Also check out Ring of Fire, Blue ain’t your color, Honey I’m good. You won’t regret any of it!
I haven’t read all the comments, but any song you choose from Home Free won’t be wrong, but please do us a favor and stay away from a song named Mayday, until you know the group well. Home Fries will let you know when your ready for Mayday!
These guys along with Voice Play who competed with them the year (2013) they won the Sing Off are my two favorite groups. Tim Foust (Home Free) helped Geoff Castelucci Voice Play's bass learn some techniques. The two groups have done some work together and are friends. By the way the announcer voice you hear a lot on America Ninja Warrior and Optimus Prime commercials among other things is blind surfer Pete Gustin. I don't know how much he may do overseas.
Adam Rupp the beat boxer and Rob Lundquist the gentleman with glasses are from MInnesota. TIm Foust the bass is from Texas and now lives in Nashville, Tennessee. Austin Brown the high tenor is from Georgia and also lives in Nashville. Adam Chance the baritone is from Alabama and lives in LA. They were just in London on tour. They are fantastic.
This is the theme song from the music “oh brother where art thou” The first lead singer Austin is from Georgia, Adam chance who does the juice art sound at the beginning is from Alabama Tim the deep base is from Texas and the other two are northern boys from Minnesota Adam Rupp, the beat boxer and Rob with a beard are from Minnesota! No one’s from Kentucky! You need to listen to their live on stage performance in Australia…Austin and they beat boxer Adam dual harmonica duet part way through! No instruments involved! Can’t wait for your next reaction they always have lots of surprises and great voices!!
I subbed for ur Ez Mil reactions but I also luv Home Free. The a cappella world is phenomenal, try some Pentatonix too. Home Free, Pentatonix, VoicePlay, they’re all incredible with what they can do with voices only 🔥🤘
They are not from Kentucky, that's just the lyrics to the very, very old song from before any of them were born. 😆
😂 yeah we definitely got that wrong. It just seems to fit with the larger the man, the deeper the voice
It's so nice to have another Home Fry fill in the details. Saves me a lot of typing. 😄😄
@@carladewitt1947😅😅 ❤ I appreciate y'alls informative comments because I don't have the patience 😂
Thank you for sharing that information and helping us 😊 that certainly is very appreciated and its good to know
They are so funny live! 😂
The song is over 100 years old. Its about a man who has been in trouble with the law for a long time and now needs to leave the state forever.
Powerful stuff
Great reaction! Never heard of #homefree before but damnnnn that was something different and spectacular!
We were impressed by them Nutty and you know we love to discover new artists especially like this
We cannot wait to share the journey of this Rabbit Hole with their Home Fry family 😊
The Sexy bass in the group is actually really funny during their concerts, he does most of the talking and has got a very sarcastic sense of humour, besides having a fab bass he can also sing very high, continue the journey and you'll see how versitile he is!
Thank you for sharing and we are so damn excited to see more of this amazing band 😊
MAKE SURE YOU REACT TO 'DO YOU HEAR WHAT I HEAR' BY HOME FREE, THE BEATBOXER ARRANGED IT AND IT'S EPIC!!
I suggest their cover of “Folsom Prison Blues” next.
L-R
Rob - tenor - Minnesota
Chance - baritone - Alabama
Austin - tenor - Georgia
Adam - beats - Minnesota
Tim - bass - Texas
Thank you for the recommendation and sharing the names. That is really handy to know 😊
@@highlyreactivereactions Actually, all 5 can sing tenor, even the beatboxer: lovely tenor voice, but mostly chooses not to sing solo, except once (later on, watch their live video: Guilty Pleasures - Hilariously Derailed).
Thank you for the knowledge there. We will be defintely be checking dome.of those out 😊
The guys aren't from Kentucky.
Thank you for taking the time to comment! I appreciate your feedback and perspective. Hope you have a great day. ALso thanks for the info. much love
Enjoy the ride... peace
Thats amazing Jason and tbh really shocks me at how we haven't heard this group before
@@highlyreactivereactions independent artists is probably why would be my guess. I only found them 2yrs ago.
Can tell you are a fry. 👍🏽
I think this was filmed in Fairhope, AL.
The song was first written down in 1913, but it's much older than that.
Right, Tim is from Texas, Austin is from Georgia, Chance is from Alabama, Adam and Rob are from Minnesota
Wow thank you for all that knowledge. Still getting to learn their names and individual identity but I look forward to sharing this experience and journey with his fans 😊
@@highlyreactivereactionsPrepare for an influx of Home Fries if you keep reacting to them.
I'm going to enjoy your journey through all of Home Free's videos. You are NOT prepared.
Thanks for the Sub, we love to welcome you in to Highly reactive. Thanks for the comment appreciate you
Welcome to, what we TOTALLY unbiased Home Fries, know is the best acapella group ;-)
They focus primarily on country and adjacent genres but have, can, and do a bit of most.
Definitely try more of theirs. More than 200 to choose from including many originals. Pick a few that you recognize or that intrigue you to see what you think.
Each of them will take leads depending on the song (minus beat boxer Adam).
A few that show their versatility:
Vintage rock - "Listen to the Music"
R&B. - "End of the Road"
Pop(ish). - "Try Everything"
and just a few of my personal favorites:
"In the Blood"
"Brothers in Arms" (Dire Straights cover)
"Some Girls Do"
Bottom line is almost everything they do is great so best to do a few in a type of music you might enjoy and then go from there.
Enjoy the VERY deep rabbit hole!
Oh, and should have added, they have a great sense of humor. After you've done a few that just showcase their capabilities and versatility check out "The Butts remix" for a combo platter of talent and humor.
Thank you for that information it really helps and those recommendations. We really appreciate it 😊
Wow this was fun! Thanks for introducing me to #homefree !! ❤❤
Welcome to the journey with us PillowFlight 😊
Cant wait until you do more on Home Free. Be prepared to be dumb founded. Their talent is endless! SOON YOU WILL BE A HOME FRY! ENJOY!
Appreciate your kind words and support
So much talent from these guys. Love it!
Rob Lundquist (guy with beard and glasses) lead tenor from Minnesota
Austin Brown (lead singer in this song) high tenor from south Georgia.
Woe thank you for sharing that information. Really looking forward to seeing more of Home Free 😊
If you liked Adam Rupp's "NO-monica" as us Home Fries call it, also check out their cover of "Working for a Living". These guys are AMAZING!
Thanks for that recommendation! means alot, all of them are added to our list! much love to you!
Subbed for more HF - welcome to the rabbit hole!
Appreciate you Tada and look forward to going down that Home Free rabbit hole 😊
Here for more Home Free! Pick any song you can’t go wrong. My only advice is to never end the video short, let it run to the end. Loved your reaction 😁
Appreciate that advice 😊 we will make sure we catch the endings
No problem! Glad to help.@@highlyreactivereactions
Go for it!
They are amazing Elizabeth and we are truly pumped to see alot more of Home Free
Subbed for more Home Free. The Home Fries will come out of the woodworks if you keep reacting to them!!! Promise :) Thanks for reacting to the guys!
Appreciate the support of the Home Fries and look forward to sharing this journey with their fan base 😊
You’re just getting started with Home Free, the best is yet to come!

Sea Shanty Medley LIVE AND Butt's Remix will give you 2 different sides to them. Keep going ... Nana Karen UK
Appreciate the recommendations Nana Karen 😊
Kathy here - love the look on your faces as you see/hear all the levels of their voices and trying to guess who does what! If your new to Home Free, you need to check out When a man Love a Woman, Butts Remix, End of the Road, How Great Thou Art, and God Bless The USA, featuring Lee Greenwood and the US Air force Choir. Lee Greenwood wrote the song and was released in the 80's. Then after 9/11, Lee was asked to sing it at the first Baseball game played after 9/11. Amazing group.
Appreciate your kind words and your recommendations 😊
Here for more Home free! Their Sea shanty medley went crazy viral during lockdown :)
Appreciate you 😊 We will have to check it out
Glad to have y'all reacting to the guys. They are amazing. Lots of songs to check out and many more to come. Hope to see y'all soon.
Alot more Home Free will be coming to the channel I can promise you that
Sounds great!@@highlyreactivereactions
Thank you for sharing that knowledge with us. We really appreciate it. Looking forward to seeing more
MORE HOME FREE PLEASE
Thank you for your recommendations. More Home Free coming 😊
I would recommend that you listen to more of their music.
We may have some more recorded and out soon 😊
The only time Home Free uses any type of instrument they show it like in the Skull and Bones live video. Or when they collaborate with another artist.
thanks for the comment, thanks for the info, we love it, much appreciated
With the holiday coming, you HAVE to watch "do you hear what I hear"...it is amazing
Appreciate the recommendation
The 3 in front are main singers for this song, while in back they are beat boxing and harmonizing. Adam Rupp doing drums and harmonica, Chance doing the mouth harp sound at the beginning and end.
Thank you for sharing 😊
Welcome to the amazement that is Home Free, the world's first ever country acapella band.
They've got up towards 200 music videos ready and waiting for you to react to, covers as well as originals, and each one is brilliant one way or another, or several.
You just missed their latest visit to Europe, btw, including three concerts in the UK, with the tour ending in London on October 1st.
Next tour, possibly in 2025, I bet you'll be there too.
I've subscribed for more Home Free and honestly, whichever song you go with will be a winner.
Thanks for the reaction! 🥰🙏
Appreciate your support 😊 yeah we will have to catch them next time they perform! Amazing band from.what we have heard so far and much to explore!
Appreciate your subscription, kind words and recommendations 😊 we will have to check them out. Mad respect
I subscribed in hopes of seeing you explore a lot more of Home Free's stuff. You cannot go wrong with any of their songs. Enjoy.
Thank you for subscribing to the channel. There will be so much more Home Free on the way and we look forward to sharing this journey with you
In the US, they are called suspenders not braces.
Yes their “Sea Shanty medley” from during lockdown is good fun. Or the more recent “Skull and Bones”.
We will have to check them out 😊
Great Reaction, Love Home Free
Thank you for the kind words and support 😊
well gentlemen, you have just been introduced to the best acapella sound in music.
Thank you the subscription and kind words 😊 we look forward to seeing more of Home Free
Thank you for having us 😊
Loved your reaction.
Appreciate your subscription and support to the channel. I can promise that alot more Home Free will be coming to this channel 😊
If you didn't notice it, after Tim's solo part, and when they come back together for harmony, he drops his voice another octave. I swear, I have 4 children, if I had Tim's voice, I'd have 8 more.
Completly agree with you on that one! thanks for the comment
Thank you for taking the time to comment! I appreciate your feedback and perspective. Hope you have a great day
Thats amazing Mona! Certainly no lack of talent, they were really impressive 😊
Welcome to the rabbit hole. These guys are amazing and just as good live. Pick anything they do and it's fire 🔥
Appreciate your support 😊
Tim Foust (bass) has blown sound systems that can't handle his lower notes.
That doesn't surprise me 😂 very powerful voice
Nice reaction! Welcome to the wonderful Home Free Journey! I'm here for the ride, pick anything and you are guaranteed a good time! Caution though, the can be very addictive! 😂
Thank you for your words. This is the exciting part about discovering a new artist! The journey of the rabbit hole!
Thank you for taking the time to comment! I appreciate your feedback and perspective. Hope you have a great day
Subbed for more Home Free...they have a huge and varied catalog.....I mean huge.
There are so many
More Home Free will be coming to the channel. Really enjoyed it 😊
In my opinion, Home Free is the best--period.
This performance highlights a lot of Home Free's strengths although they also handle ANY other genre just as amazingly❣️🎼🥰🎶❤️
Some of my favorites are "Working for a Living", "Good 'Ol Country Harmony", "Land of the Free", "Remember This", "Elvira" (with the Oak Ridge Boys), "Undivided", "Try Everything", "Ain't Goin' Down 'Til the Sun Comes Up" (which is not on YT--it's on their official Facebook page), "Listen to the Music", "Understand", and "Road Sweet Road" 😍!
Thank you forgot sharing that information, that is really helpful for us to get to know these artists
Really liked y'all's reaction! Subbing for more Home Free. Welcome to the deep rabbit hole called Home Free! Dive in; all are good.
Thank you for your kind words. Looking forward to sharing this journey with you
Great reaction guys. You’ll love Home Free more and more as you get to know them.
Thank you for the kind words. We are excited to take this journey with you 😊
You should listen to The Butts Medley by Home Free and see their humorous side.
Thank you for the recommendation 😊
Home Free is simply the best and never miss on a song. Challenge you to find a bad one
We have only tipped a toe into there audio catalogue but so far loving them 😊
Tim Foust is the bass and it's natural for him.
Thank you for sharing the knowledge and the recommendations. Looming forward to seeing more of Home Free 😊
Appreciate your subscription 😊 loom forward to sharing our journey of Home Free with you 😊
Home Free - react and we will come!
Appreciate your support 😊
Everything is from their mouths and throats. They were just in the UK as well as on the continent.
Gutted we missed them in the UK
Thank you for sharing that information 😊 looking forward to seeing alot more of Home Free
Thats amazing. Thank you for helping us get to know Home Free 😊
Great Reaction!! Welcome to Home Free rabbit hole.
The group started in 2001 by brothers Chris and Adam Rupp
They are the only country A Capella ( all vocals no instruments)group but they are honestly do much more than just country music they can sing any genre and they do
They won The Sing Off season 4 2013 that's where they became very popular.

Here for you.
Always appreciate you Dawn 😊
Welcome to the Home Fries family! So many amazing songs to choose from! Only piece of advice, wait until you know more of each member before watching Mayday! Prepare to be amazed!
Thank you for the advice 😊 looking forward to learning alot more about them
They sing in all kinds of music, all kinds of songs.
Thank you for all your comments and support for the channel Susan 😊
Kentucky is named in THIS song. Nobody in the group is from Kentucky! The group was started in Minnesota and NOW the members are living in 4 different States. While they are recording to put together a finished product. Otherwise, they travel together to perform LIVE events! 👱♀👱♀👗👗👠👠❤❤
Gotta respect them for making it work how they can 😊
I hope you do more Home Free! Your reaction was fun to watch. You have so much to explore with them.
Appreciate your kind words and I can promise you more Home Free is on the way 😊
True Home Fries (what their fan-base call themselves) will tell you you that HF has 4 tenors, 4 baritones, 3 basses, and 5 beatboxers.
They certainly have alot of talent and all bring something to the table

Welcome to the Home Free rabbit hole. Every sound you hear comes from their mouths. These guys are so very talented. They different genres. They do not have a bad song. Please keep checking them out. You will never be disappointed. Love your reactions!
Absoutley love these guys and thank you aswell for the kind words
Welcome to Home Free. 2 from Minnesota. The other 3 from Georgia, Alabama and Texas.
This song is about 100 years old. This is just their cover of it. 😁
Thats pretty amazing tbf 👏
Appreciate your recommendations and support
None of them are from Kentucky. This song was written in 1913 and first recorded in 1929. Home Free originated in Minnesota with Adam Rupp Beatboxer and his brother Chris Rupp. Chris left the group a few years ago and was replaced with Adam Chance from Alabama. Rob Lundquist also is from Minnesota, while Austin Brown is from Georgia and Tim Foust from Texas.
wow thats some cool info thanks!! Hope you have a great day
You have just been introduced to the best a cappella group out there.
Thank you for welcoming us with open arms 😊 we are excited to hearing alot more of Home Free
Thank you for your support. Looking forward to hearing more Home Free
Once you listen to these guys, you're hooked for life. There's no one better. They also have the best and most loyal fans so be prepared for the many subscriptions to come. We follow them anywhere.
We appreciate your support Sally and your loyalty to Home Free 😊
Enjoy the massive rabbit hole you’ve entered! Subbed for more!
Thank you for the subscription and we look forward to taking this journey with you 😊
Adam Rupp, beatboxer extraordinaire. Drum Solo if you want to see him do his stuff live. He learned to play drums to make his beats better. If you follow his hands in the solo you can recreate the beats... :)
Thats amazing, thank you for sharing
Just subbed for more Home Free!!
Appreciate you 😊
The reference to Kentucky is just the lyric. Two are Minnesotans, one Texan, one Alabaman and one Georgian.
Thank you for sharing. All about the learning along the way 😊
🔥🔥🎼🔥🔥 All right guys .. glad you finally made it to Home Free. So .. no instruments at all ... no drums added .. exceptional range from all the singers. They cover many genres ... so try "When A Man Loves A Woman" .. "O Holy Night" .. "Working For A Living" .. and of course .. "The Butts Medley" .. dive in gents !! 🔥🔥🎼🔥🔥
We having been loving the Home Free journey so far. Make sure to check out our playlist 😊 Also thank you for the recommendations
They certainly are amazing in their own rights and look forward to seeing more of them. Hopefully in a couple years there will be a fresh tour 😊
Since you said sea shanty, they have a song called Sea Shanty Medley.
Also check out Ring of Fire, Blue ain’t your color, Honey I’m good. You won’t regret any of it!
Appreciate those recommendations 😊 looking forward to hearing them
I haven’t read all the comments, but any song you choose from Home Free won’t be wrong, but please do us a favor and stay away from a song named Mayday, until you know the group well. Home Fries will let you know when your ready for Mayday!
Thank you for the advice and sharing. We will keep that in mind
They do a little bit of everything. Their sea shanty video is great. You will never be disappointed
That has been recorded and will be uploaded soon 😊
That was a great reaction. I hope to see more reactions to Home Free. They are all so talented, and fun.
Thank you for the kind words Peggy. More Home Free will be coming to the channel 😊
They are not all from Kentucky. They are from different states.
Always love to learn new things 😊
In my opinion to hear tim at his best would be brothers in arms. So beautiful. The whole song is gorgeous but the bass is masterful.
Thank you for that recommendation 😊 looking forward to checking it out
These guys along with Voice Play who competed with them the year (2013) they won the Sing Off are my two favorite groups.
Thats amazing 😊 thank you for sharing your knowledge 😊
Adam Rupp the beat boxer and Rob Lundquist the gentleman with glasses are from MInnesota. TIm Foust the bass is from Texas and now lives in Nashville, Tennessee. Austin Brown the high tenor is from Georgia and also lives in Nashville. Adam Chance the baritone is from Alabama and lives in LA. They were just in London on tour. They are fantastic.
We are learning Karen 😊Always appreciate the Home Fries teaching us the way
This is the theme song from the music “oh brother where art thou” The first lead singer Austin is from Georgia, Adam chance who does the juice art sound at the beginning is from Alabama Tim the deep base is from Texas and the other two are northern boys from Minnesota Adam Rupp, the beat boxer and Rob with a beard are from Minnesota! No one’s from Kentucky! You need to listen to their live on stage performance in Australia…Austin and they beat boxer Adam dual harmonica duet part way through! No instruments involved! Can’t wait for your next reaction they always have lots of surprises and great voices!!
Thank you for sharing the information 😊
I subbed for ur Ez Mil reactions but I also luv Home Free. The a cappella world is phenomenal, try some Pentatonix too. Home Free, Pentatonix, VoicePlay, they’re all incredible with what they can do with voices only 🔥🤘
