The song is about a soldier dying on the battle field and talking to his comrades as he dies. Please watch it again and pay attention to the words, without the stopping and talking. To those of us who have been through it and know the feeling of people shooting at you, this song is almost a prayer.
I totally agree with this recommendation to react to Home Free's cover of the Crosby, Stills, and Nash song "Helplessly Hoping". It is another example of their ability to deliver pure, vocal artistry while still honoring the original song. Then there are many other wildly entertaining and humourous songs as well. Enjoy the journey!
I agree, Helplessly Hoping! The harmonies in it are stunning as well! But there are so many good ones, and they're so versatile, that you almost get to experience them for the first time all over again with each new song!
Now that you have seen the bass singing lead, go for the opposite and review "When A Man Loves A Woman" to see Austin Brown, the tenor of the group, sing the lead and absolutely blow your mind. If you are not in love with him when the song ends, then you ain't female, honey. Also be sure to see "Man of Constant Sorrow" to see how well they can mimic instruments in their songs. You didn't see any beat boxing in this one, but their beat boxer is Adam Rupp and he is a two time world beat boxing champion, as you will well see in most of their songs. Loved your reaction, and with Home Free, you ain't seen nothing yet.
Your reaction was great! The look on your face and almost being speechless was priceless and I completely understand! My reaction when I heard this the first time was one of being totally broken down and breathless, I wept like a child and it took a while for me to recover, and I'm not sure really if I have because I still am crying and almost in complete inability to express my thoughts and feelings about this Powerful performance! I'm conflicted because I have so many things I want to say about it but can't get the words to come out the way I want them to. I don't think that I would have handled your position as well as you did with this video being so new to your introduction to Home Free, with TIM our " FIRE BREATHING DRAGON ' going below the depths of the ocean for those low notes and those beautiful contrasting high tenor notes from the other guys! I think I might have gone into heart failure and just gone ahead and died on the spot! You are now just getting started! The rabbit hole is very deep and oh so much fun! You are going to have a blast on your journey and it's a sweet sweet ride! Home Free is multi-talented and each member can sing different parts and each can beatbox! Adam Rupp is the FREAK OF NATURE and multiple times champion Beatboxer/vocal percussionist! Expect lots of surprise's and switch ups! Home Free is also extremely versatile and can sing Anything! All genre's! They have the most beautiful and tight harmonies I've ever heard in my life. That is saying a lot for me because I'm 63 yrs old tomorrow and I've been involved in music performance for almost 50 yrs and I love all different kinds! Home Free is different than most other acapella groups because they lean heavily into country music but not solely! Home Free, Ptx, and Voice Play are all good friends and there is no competition or jealousy between them at all! They have worked on multiple projects together from Avi being in HF videos to Geoff being asked to arrange a HF video, which is really great! HF ft. The Oak Ridge Boy's in" ELVIRA!" Truthfully they don't like to be compared to each other because it can invite division and discord. Whatever is your preference in music Home Free provides. I think PTX and Voice Play are very talented too! I think that it is way cool how all three groups are veterans of the NBC TV acapella singing talent competition THE SING OFF! PTX on season 3 and being the winner, Home Free and Voice Play on season 4 with VP reaching the semi-finals and Home Free being named the winner! There is plenty of room for everyone! Also one of the things I love about HF is how open and willing they are to share themselves and their private lives with us. They have actually said that they consider the Home Fry's as family members and they really make us feel loved and appreciated! That feeling is very mutual because they have given new meaning to my life (and so many people) by helping me through what otherwise would be much more difficult to manage days and nights because of some major health issues. Don't worry about what you have missed, it's a brand new day with so many possibilities and the Home Fry's will be here for you excited and anxious for each reaction! Keep your eyes open wide for the influx of new listeners because the Fry's are going to come running, expect an exponential rise of subs! Let us know how you want to receive suggestions because I don't want to overwhelm you ( I have a tendency to list a few at a time with new reactors to Home Free because I want to provide options and because of my excitement to share how great they are) Just one at a time or is several ok? I won't suggest anything now, I trust the other Fry's with theirs. Hope your weekend is going great! Sending love to you from a Home Free Home Fry Friend in South Georgia! ♥️😀🍟(🍑⬅️ Georgia peach)
By many, if not most, who follow Home Free, this is considered an A Capella masterpiece and their finest work thus far, as you just witnessed, even though they have done more than 150 videos. This was released in advance of Veterans Day as a tribute to all those who have suffered the horrors of war. Home Free is known to have the richest harmonies in the world of A Capella, and they have a huge fan base known as Home Fries. If you add Home Free to you reaction list, your channel will grow even more exponentially. Their talent is unsurpassed and they never disappoint the listener. Their portfolio is amazing.
A Man of Constant Sorrow will give you a much better example of their individual and group abilities. The Butts Remix will put a fresh coat of oil on your giggle-box. How Great Thou Are will give you a good few minutes of absolute awh. Adam Rupp (beat boxer) does a 6-8 minute solo on the drums...vocally....that will blow your mind. Enjoy. Oh, Brothers in Arms and the military cemetery on Veterans Day works for me.
The lead singer in this is Tim Foust (the bass). He has a 5-octave range. The 2ns to sing was Adam Chance (called Chance) he is the baritone but he takes over bass when Tim sings lead. This has quickly become my favorite from HF. it's so powerful, haunting, sad, and beautiful. It's actually an antiwar song... sung by a dying soldier on the battlefield about life and his fellow soldiers. It always makes me cry. Usually when Tim sings "Now the sun’s gone to hell/And the moon’s riding high/Let me bid you farewell/Every man has to die." It was written by Mark Knopfler of Dire Straits. Thank you for your reaction. It was great to hear someone fall in love with these guys. They are as special.
I hope Megan reads the comments (hard to tell when she doesn't hit the Like button), but this is exactly what she needed to know. She obviously felt all the feels, viscerally, but seemed to have no conscious knowledge about what was actually going on. Personally, I loved the technique where Tim and Chance each appear a bit ghostly transparent when standing by the window.
I am speaking as a Veteran of war. Being in combat, risking death time and time again brings soldiers together. They indeed can become closer than blood kin. I hear the soldier in the last moments of death, the harmonies that surround him are angelic. This song carries a reverance that touches the soul. HF is able to touch the sanctity of life and the holiness of the moment of our departure from this experience to a realm beyond.
Very apt that you put this up on Remembrance Day (Veterans Day in US) I love the original by Dire Straits. Please head down the rabbit hole of Home Free as they are so talented. Helplessly Hoping is best harmonies ever, Man of Constant Sorrow will blow you away, Mayday,..
This song is a dedication of the veterans and those we've lost. Won't hurt to read the description about the song. "Blessed the Broken Road" is a great love song.
The song was written by Mark Knopfler of Dire Straits he wrote it about the British troops who won back the Falkland Islands after they were invaded by the Argentinians, I have since heard him say he now dedicates this song to soldiers from any country.
This seriously is a group you will want to go down the rabbit hole with. They are the most diverse and gifted group i have ever followed. Simply amazing!!! Best wishes.....
This cover of theirs is very difficult for me to listen to because it is so deeply emotional. I love Home Free and am a dedicated Home Fry. You definitely need to do more Home Free. These guys have a much lighter side, but, as you have so obviously witnessed, have the ability to perform such that they connect on a truly visceral level. So, to listen to something fun that shows their lighthearted spirits, you might try the Butts Remix. Helplessly Hoping, a Crosby Still and Nash cover, I think shows their true vocal ability better than any other. For overall exposure to the group, try Man of Constant Sorrow. You will find that most Pentaholics are also Home Fries. The common ground is that we love truly outstanding vocal performances. You won't go wrong with any of their music.
Hit me emotionally too. I'm a veteran and while I liked the song before I joined the military it has a whole new meaning to me now. It's a painful and yet cathartic song for me.
Miss Friday, your brain registered the meaning for the song even if you do not know it. A tribute to our military and the fallen hero's of our country. Great reaction from you. truly your gut reacting, how wonderful. for he Christmas season, please treat us and yourself to "Do you here what I hear". Home Free - Do You Hear What I Hear? - TH-cam here is the link, it will blow you away with the beauty of it.
To follow this check out their "Everybody Walking This Land", "Helplessly Hoping", "Do You Hear What I Hear", "Man of Constant Sorrows", "Champagne Taste on a Beer Budget", and for more Tim (bass) Misty Mountains by Peter Hollens featuring Tim Foust.
Great ideas. I love that Home Free feature Tim as a bass rather than just a background vocalist. Everybody walking this Land emphasises this too. HF & Voice Play & Voctave and Ptx are all great groups. They are all a bit different and emphasise different things. So you can like them all😂
One thing you did for this long time Home Fry is to give me more of an idea when to tell new reactors to listen to this song, thank you. I loved when you said you didn't know why you wanted to cry, these guys are so good at the feels with nothing but the music of their voices.
There are alot songs you can choose from, depending on your mood. There are just too many good ones to name them all. Looking for something majestic: React to "how great thou art" Looking for country: React to "Man of Constant Sorrow" or "Country Roads" Looking for country & fun: React to "Thank God I'm a Country Boy" Need an extra laugh: React to "All About That Bass" Need some love?: React to "When a Man Loves a Woman" ... and the list goes on.... If you like you can also do a "double reaction". For many of their videos they also have a "making of". React to the original video first and add the one "from the vaults" afterwards. Those versions show, how the original video was made, where it was recorded and how much fun they had while recording...
All About That Bass and All About That Bass Blooper Reel is a good pair. And so is Guilty Pleasures and Guilty Pleasures Hilariously Derailed, which was filmed during a live concert and the boys couldn't keep it together which changed things slightly.
"That face looks like it should have a higher register" While not a Home Free video, might I suggest Tim and Austin along with Chris Chatham singing My Maria?
I have gone to two concerts and have gotten to meet the group! Love love love them! So down to earth!!! Listen to the music is a great one to react to and butts remix is a funny one!
I agree, Helplessly Hoping! The harmonies in it are stunning as well! But there are so many good ones, and they're so versatile, that you almost get to experience them for the first time all over again with each new song!
@@steveray9655 I agree with you on that Steve! At least for a while anyway! Miss Megan if you hold off for a few videos I think you will appreciate the video much more! Become more familiar with each member, their names and their most usual singing part until it is like instant recall and 2nd nature to you! It will be worth it!
Everyone needs a good wake-up call and this was the one you needed. Personally, I can't think of a single song Home Free has done that I don't like. Even songs that I never cared for before that they have done have now become ones I listen to repeatedly. HF is one of three groups that I listen to religiously. Don't be afraid to cry. This song always brings me to tears as does a cover they did of Billy Gilman's One Voice with Billy Gilman I still cry every time I hear it. This, One Voice, Helplessly Hoping, MayDay, Try Everything, The Butts Medly (hysterically funny) And their rendition of Do You Hear What I Hear is by far an away my favorite version of one of my favorite Christmas songs.
This song is a true tribute to all veterans past, present, future. We owe them so much for their sacrifice they did for our country and freedom. Let us NEVER FORGET
Seriously spin the wheel and pick a song. There isn't a bad one in the bunch. I'd say MAN OF CONSTANT SORROW next. So glad you found our Gentlemen. Us Home Fries (Home Free Fans) love seeing them discovered. Thanks for a great reaction, just subbed for your Home Free Journey. Hang on its a deep and fun filled rabbit hole. I fell in and have never come out.
Welcome to Home Free. They are awesome. Try My Country Tis of Thee for beautiful harmonies. Also Bless the Broken Road or Go Rwst High On That Mountain.
No. No. No. Too soon! Don't do Mayday until you're more familiar with their styles and voices, maybe after 10 or so videos. Check out Champagne Taste on a Bear Budget which was written by Tim Foust, the bass singer.
How Great Thou Are, even if you are not that religeous, will bring you to tears. My church, Go Rest High. Home Free can be serious, to comical and everything in between. These gentlemen try to be as perfect as a group can be with their music. Your reaction to Brothers In Arms is typical for first time listners of their serious songs.
Home Free is my favorite group of performers. As a group they are supportive of each other and dedicated to producing great music. They have over 130 covers, of those they have taken ownership of most of them. Each member is superior in their own right, the group has five tenors, five beat boxers, and two bassists, though Chance is referred to as a baritone, only because Tim has few equals. Adam is world class as a beat boxer, Rob has one of the sweetest tenors and the "pop" style of the group. And as many will tell you Austin has entered the dreams of many fair maiden with his smile and voice; "When a Man Loves a Woman" may actually increase birthrates in many regions that patronize this style of singing. Austin, Tim and Chance each have their own channels and work with other groups as featured artists. You cannot go wrong with choosing a song of theirs though I do have my favorites. Also some that I would pass on rehearing, though very, very few. Please, take the time to hear a few more of their songs, a few of their live performances are recorded on TH-cam, you will not be disappointed.
Beautifully sung as always.... "War is when the government tells us who the enemy is...Revolution is when you figure it out for yourself"--Ben Franklin
Hey from Australia 🇦🇺. Welcome to the wonderful ride that is 'Home Free'. You will only enjoy each song more than the last. For some pure acapella, try How Great Thou Art, Helplessly Hoping, American Pie (with Don McLean) For a taste of the more fun side, try Can't Stop the Feeling, Hillbilly Bone.. You really can't go wrong.. When you're ready for Christmas, they have entire catalog of Christmas songs. My favourite is Do You Hear What I Hear.. Look forward to hearing your reactions..
Welcome to the new world of Home Fries... This song will hit just as hard when you listen (or it did hit just as hard when you listened?) to it for the words and their meaning. The combination of those words and the haunting beauty of the harmonies and Tim's deep voice are truly heart rending. If you read the message they wrote about the song, while it was originally written and performed by Dire Straits to protest the Falklands War (or the Malvinas, depending on your perspective), Home Free takes the broader view that we are a nation divided against itself, and we are ALL "brothers in arms" in this sense - so their version is a call to all of us to come together and stop the fighting. They make this very clear in their own words. One of the great things about this group is their emphasis on healing and positivity, and while they do have a wide streak of American patriotism in their music, it is not about how anyone is better than anybody else, but how we can all be better together as a nation. The more you hear from them, the more you have to admire their messages.
Now that it is the Christmas season, you really need to do Home Free's Do You Hear What I Hear ..... It's amazing. You most definitely will not be disappointed.
Welcome to the Gold Standard of a cappella excellence. As you listen, you will realize that Home Free can sing any genre of music to perfection. They will make you laugh, they make you contemplate, they will give you chills, goosebumps, and throat lumps, even tears of sadness at times.
The lyrics here are strikingy important, so I recommend that you listen to the song again for those as well as the intensity of their voices and the amazing arrangement.
Your reaction right out of the gate is priceless I know that looked anywhere that’s the look of Tim just sang his first note of the song that’s why us home fries have been crawling out of the woodwork!! Tim is the master of bass!!!
All the bass's in the other groups like Avi and Jeff from Voice Play , consider Tim Foust the Godfather of bass. Try ' How Great Thou Art "to se them at their heavenly best. By the way Tim can sing Tenor and everything in between. Can't wait for your next one.
This song is a cover of an anti-war song by Dire Straits written during the Falkland War from the perspective of a dying soldier on the battlefield, surrounded by his brothers in arms. If you can calm yourself down enough...listen to the words and the message. That alone will also bring you to tears, and combined with Home Free's talent, it's intended to make you think about the message that we are ALL brothers in arms.
There's so much symbolism in the videography to support the story of the song. A soldier dying and talking to his brothers in arms that surround him. Black and white with fused lighting and haunting harmonies set the atmosphere. Then when Tim and Chance are by the window they become transparent as if they are now a spirit. The ending with the flag and Adam's wind sounds, just sort of wreck you. Absolute perfection!
Girl, you can't go wrong with Home Free. As much as I love Avi and Ring of Fire was my introduction to these guys, it is far from being on my favourite Home Free song list. Simply because there are so many songs they do so incredibly well. They do mostly covers, but they also have great originals. They do covers because they think there's so much good music already that should be loved on, and they sprinkle it with originals. I agree with them. There are so many songs I've heard so many times, this one included, that I never cared that much for until Home Free did it. I saw a suggestion for When a Man Loves a Woman to be your next reaction to get the opposite end of the stick and I second that. You will most definitely be blown away yet again. Thanks for the reaction! 🥰🙏
I loved your reaction and I teared-up watching you and of course listening to Home Free. Like you I wondered why I had not heard them before back in May 2021 when I discovered them! Since then I listen to them everyday. They are amazing. Hopefully some day I will be able to see them in concert. Please react to ONE MAN BAND
Since there are absolutely NO bad Home Free songs and many people have suggested great songs for your reaction, I’ll talk about the song. The was written by a British rock band shortly after the British Falkland Island war but applies to all conflicts. It was released in time for Veterans Day 2021 and is a fitting tribute I think. The arrangement was done by Club for Five, a Finnish Vocal group but Tim requested it from their bass. Of course, Home Free just did an amazing job. Thanks for your reaction
You want it shouted, you got it!! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE REACT TO SEA SHANTY MEDLEY, HILLBILLY BONE, HELPLESSLY HOPING, THE BUTTS REMIX, AND A TON OF OTHER HOME FREE ASAP!! Ugh, I can't yell that long, but you get the idea. Also, I beg you, if anyone suggests Mayday (which they will, and they absolutely should), don't listen to that one until you know who the guys are and their usual roles and ranges within the group. Once you have that figured out, THEN watch Mayday. Trust a Home Fry here (that's what Home Free fans are called 😁), I see you headed to the deep fryer with the rest of us!!
If you do home free, we will follow and subscribe!! I certainly love Pentatonix but Home Free is the best there is, in my opinion ! Thanks so much, this made my day!🤗
Please react to more Home Free. They have an incredible following. You'll become a Home Fry like me. TRUE TALENT. You should react to more videos from them because theu have a hilarious side as well.
Such a genius touch to show the silhouette of the fellas in front of the window. I know some see it as a "ghost"y reference but it strikes me as a reflection of the POW/MIA flag. We'll never know just how many of those met the same fate as the soldier of this song. 😥 (And just an aside, if you react to more Home Free songs your subscriptions will blow up--Home Fries (the fans of Home Free) are extremely loyal to wherever our guys' music shows up!)
TOO MANY WORDS DURING THE LYRICS ... the beauty, stark permanence of war's lethal end ...... so haunting and so incredibly expressed in lyrical harmony BECKONS ATTENTION to it's heart felt story. Time for long remark is afterward.
This is hauntingly beautiful. Tim is the bass. He has a 5 octave range so he can go low like this song and yet sing in the tenor range. Loved Tim’s low notes. Loved the echoes. Love the black and white film. Tim and Chance (baritone/bass) looked ghost like in the windows. It’s a Dire Strait song about the Falkland War. So good. Home Free is really known for their harmonies. Try Helplessly Hoping, One Man Band, In the Blood for more great harmonies. Good reaction. It is hard to talk after this one Megan.
These guys can do serious, gospel, and hilarious all equally well. This is definitely one of their emotion jerkers. Another one is Go Rest High On That Mountain, I can't listen to that one without crying.
The guy with the bass voice, Tim Foust, has done an absolute killer song with a guy called Peter Hollens, called "Misty Mountains". Another bass singer you need to listen to is Geoff Castellucci. Try his cover of "Sixteen Tons".
I'll be watching for more Home Free reactions from you - they are simply the best. Each of them is great in their own range and the king of beatboxing - Adam Rupp.
"Did you hear that that base". Then Tim jumps in with that super low lead. That look was priceless. Bahahhahahahhaha!!!!! Great reaction please keep reacting to these guys.
Tim has been known to blow out speakers with that low voice of his. One of my favorites is Can't Stop the Feeling. Also Champagne Taste on a Beer Budget is fun and shows their goofy side and Rob really shines on End of the Road. Enjoy!
If you want o hear a truly amazing crazy bass singer please react to Geoff Castelucci. I would highly recommend starting with his cover of “blackbird” by the Beatles!! Beside his solo stuff he also is apart of another must see a cappella group called voiceplay!! Anything by them is amazing I would highly recommend their cover of hoist the colors as a place to start though!!
Be warned, that early recordings and videos feature Chris Rupp (brother of the beatboxer, Adam Rupp) as the "baritone" of the group; he was in the Ring of fire video wearing a cowboy hat the whole time. When he left the group, Adam Chance joined. I had "baritone" in quotes, as all of them have tremendous ranges, all are capable of taking the lead and all can blend to backdrop the lead in a way that is almost seamless. Best example if that is American Pie, as all but Adam Rupp take a verse and regardless of who's verse it is the background is consistent, as Chance can drop to bass when Tim goes high and everyone else can blend really smooth. Have fun exploring their music!! For an extra fun time, listen to Chris Rupp's reaction video of Do You Hear What I Hear to get a lot of nice behind the scenes comments of making the video. (And get to hear "do you hear" in 4 octaves from lowest low to highest high, one right after the other...)
Home Free is supremely talented. What an awesome version of this song. Pentatonix, Home Free and Voiceplay, the top 3 acapella groups in my humble opinion. Great reaction!
And if you aren't shocked enough by Tim's low voice...watch closely when the 2nd guy (Chance) is singing; Tim is switching between tenor and bass at different points depending on what the chord calls for.
It was written by Mark Knopfler of Dire Straits about a dying soldier in the Falklands War a British conflict with Argentina on 1985, and what he was saying to the men round him, his comrades in Arms. Listen to it again, its heartbreaking....
The song was originally written by Dire Straits for the British fighting in the Faulkland War.
The song is about a soldier dying on the battle field and talking to his comrades as he dies. Please watch it again and pay attention to the words, without the stopping and talking. To those of us who have been through it and know the feeling of people shooting at you, this song is almost a prayer.
Helplessly Hoping is another good one.
Enjoy the journey!
one of my favorites for harmonies is take me home country roads, this one though is just beyond
I agree, Helplessly Hoping! The harmonies in it are stunning as well! But there are so many good ones, and they're so versatile, that you almost get to experience them for the first time all over again with each new song!
DEFINITELY have to do this one!!!

I totally agree! gotta listen .must must .asap
Agreed. You noticed Austin's voice in "Ring of Fire" and really liked it. "When A Man Loves A Woman" will really showcase his talent.
Yes! When a man loves a woman 👍

Tim has 'killed' so many speakers at concerts. It's almost become a tradition at the end of a concert.
Dire Straits wrote this song during the 1983 Falklands War between Britain and Argentina. They are a hugely talented group.
A good word to describe it is "haunting".
I am speaking as a Veteran of war. Being in combat, risking death time and time again brings soldiers together. They indeed can become closer than blood kin.
Brothers in Arms is a cover of an eighties song by Dire Straights.
It's worth a relisten so you can concentrate on the words.
And the bassist can sing tenor. "Mayday"
You really need to go down the HOMEFREE rabbit hole, MAYDAY WILL BLOW YOUR MIND
Looking for something majestic: React to "how great thou art"
Looking for country: React to "Man of Constant Sorrow" or "Country Roads"
Looking for country & fun: React to "Thank God I'm a Country Boy"
Need an extra laugh: React to "All About That Bass"
Need some love?: React to "When a Man Loves a Woman"
... and the list goes on....
If you like you can also do a "double reaction". For many of their videos they also have a "making of". React to the original video first and add the one "from the vaults" afterwards. Those versions show, how the original video was made, where it was recorded and how much fun they had while recording...
Exactly! Well said!
All About That Bass and All About That Bass Blooper Reel is a good pair. And so is Guilty Pleasures and Guilty Pleasures Hilariously Derailed, which was filmed during a live concert and the boys couldn't keep it together which changed things slightly.
And if you want one of their originals: Champagne on a beer budget...
More! More! More! Great reaction, true emotion in both the song and your reaction. They also have a lot of very funny videos.
"That face looks like it should have a higher register" While not a Home Free video, might I suggest Tim and Austin along with Chris Chatham singing My Maria?
Spectacular work from Home Free of course I love everything they do however this piece is above and beyond magnificent.
This is their best in my opinion. I love all their music but this one soars way above. So good. Just beautiful and haunting.
I have gone to two concerts and have gotten to meet the group! Love love love them! So down to earth!!!
Listen to the music is a great one to react to and butts remix is a funny one!
The words are about a dying soldier saying goodbye to his "brothers in arms".
I agree, Helplessly Hoping! The harmonies in it are stunning as well! But there are so many good ones, and they're so versatile, that you almost get to experience them for the first time all over again with each new song!
Welcome to the Home Free rabbit hole! They sing every genre!
You should react to their cover of Boys II Men “End of the Road”. Also their cover of Cam’s “Mayday”. It will blow your mind.
Personally, I would recommend holding off on "Mayday" until you're more familiar with their vocal roles in the group.
I agree with the Mayday requirement to wait until more familiar.
I listen to Home Free daily. They are my go to group.
Catch their cover of "In the Blood".
You able to react to Home free singing 'Mary Did You Know '
Mind you Octave & Pentatonics have there versions which is good too
I am a combat veteran. You can not possibly know the good you have just done . Thank you for this and God bless you
Seriously spin the wheel and pick a song.
And we don't want to come out right April?😉
@@louisetemples7011 never ever climbing out.
Definitely not climbing out
The guy singing the low part is Tim Foust, he has a 5 octave range
If you listen closely, at the end the shift to the last chord sounds like a pipe organ with bass resonating.
They are absolutely brilliant and diverse.
The bass Tim Foust, has an awesome range. You should react to Peter Hollens and Tim Foust doing the song Greensleeves.
welcome to the rabbit hole, i love your reaction when tim starts singing, there is not one home free song that is bad
Welcome to Home Free. They are awesome. Try My Country Tis of Thee for beautiful harmonies. Also Bless the Broken Road or Go Rwst High On That Mountain.
Try their cover of Boyz 2 Men
Also "Man of Constant Sorrow"
And to understand that Tim (the bass) has a 5 octave range check out "Mayday".
No. No. No. Too soon! Don't do Mayday until you're more familiar with their styles and voices, maybe after 10 or so videos. Check out Champagne Taste on a Bear Budget which was written by Tim Foust, the bass singer.
This is probably one of, if not their best cover yet.
Low voices, oh you sweet summer child. All these groups have surprises in store for you. One of their strongest harmony songs is "how great thou art".
For some pure acapella, try How Great Thou Art, Helplessly Hoping, American Pie (with Don McLean)
For a taste of the more fun side, try Can't Stop the Feeling, Hillbilly Bone..
Love Home Free! This is hauntingly beautiful!😢💔🔥🇺🇸
Fun watching live concert stuff. The 'ex' school teacher, does, story time with Tim. The boys sit round while he tells random stories.
Try Home Free doing Dolly Parton song 9 to 5 live..... They all beatbox.
You need to check out their cover of When A Man Loves a Woman. Austin will make you melt.
Tim Foust is the bass.
He has an 8 octave range.
He can sing so low, I mean as deep as hell. But can sing high tenor
"When A Man Loves A Woman" and "Butts Medley"!
I love the all male sound when I listen to acapella ... these guys are so down-to-earth and fun but very talented individually and as a group !!!!!
They have a large catalog of Christmas songs to choose from.
They do all sorts of music. From silly to this Very serious song. Common denominator is their diverse talent is off the charts.
Tim Foust, the bass, has over a 5 octave range. He shows his upper range in Mayday.
Tim has a 5 1/2 octave range. Wait til you hear him sing a tenor role!
If you do home free, we will follow and subscribe!! I certainly love Pentatonix but Home Free is the best there is, in my opinion ! Thanks so much, this made my day!🤗
Cant hide my tears when i hear this song
If you want to hear Tims (the bass) higher register, listen to their version of Mayday !
(And just an aside, if you react to more Home Free songs your subscriptions will blow up--Home Fries (the fans of Home Free) are extremely loyal to wherever our guys' music shows up!)
Just imagine what it would sound like with real quality headphones.
The guy with the bass voice, Tim Foust, has done an absolute killer song with a guy called Peter Hollens, called "Misty Mountains". Another bass singer you need to listen to is Geoff Castellucci. Try his cover of "Sixteen Tons".
Geoff often does that x4 thing you'll see in Sixteen Tons. Check out his Monster Mash which is absolutely hilarious.
Enjoy!
I love watching people experience Tim's voice... your reactions are pretty much how I felt the first time I saw them on the Sing off
Greatest anti-war song ever written. This cover is fabulous and a masterpiece.
Tim Foust the Bass singer has blown stunned a speaker before. It stopped working for about 20 seconds or so.
The concert in Illinois 8/19/15 during the song Your Man. Can't get enough of watching that one.
Tim Foust (the bass) has a 5+ octave range and the deepest basso profundo on the market! Not even close to his bottom here.
When a man loves a woman is a really good one. Bless the Broken Road. They also have originals that are really good too. Great group of guys.
Welcome to the rabbit hole.
With these guys just pick a song. They knock it out of the park everytime.
Either perfection or nothing.
The more you react to them the more requests for songs will you receive. Do a lot of home free and you could have 10s of thousands of subscribers
Home Free is supremely talented. What an awesome version of this song. Pentatonix, Home Free and Voiceplay, the top 3 acapella groups in my humble opinion. Great reaction!
MAN OF CONSTANT SORROW! You will love Tim’s verse in that one.
