The couple who took one look at that first flat and said "mine!!" were smart.

I like to see it when a couple is in synch. It really annoys me when they want polar opposites. My partner and I discussed in detail what we both wanted, what we would give up and what we would pay before we even looked at houses. Bought the 2nd one we looked at. The first couple with a small budget were so cute and sensible. I thought the couple with the bigger budget might be too pernickety but that 3rd flat was gorgeous. They both did so well with their purchases.

We inherited a ghost in our last house. She made herself known to us only a few weeks after we moved in.
Bolted external doors swinging open, electrical cords pulled from sockets, doors slamming when she was upset.
Yet every respectful to my teenage daughter who slept in her room. The ghost always knocked before entering the room when the door was closed, waited until my daughter said ‘enter’. Then the door would swing open.
I did research on the past owners. Found out the house was owned by a spinster who died about 8 yrs before we brought it.
Isabelle was her name. She inherited the house off her parents who built the house. She was lovely, she was wanting company.
We had the house blessed before we sold, as we didn’t want the new owners to be haunted. We did tell the new owners just in case the blessing didn’t work. Fortunately they are British so were okay with the idea of a ghost.

Maybe they leave it out of love for their cat, as it is clearly thriving there! Why stress the cat by moving it to ... well, we don't know where the sellers are moving to! - but perhaps to an apartment, without access to a garden, or to a house WITH access to a garden, and the possibility that the cat could be run over by a car. The cat will love its new owners too - and will thus avoid having to live with a screaming set of twins! ;-)

The flat the other couple chose was sublime. I'm not a fan of these huge kitchen diners, but everything else was gorgeous. I never saw such a colourful fireplace as the one in the main bedroom, and I loved it. As for the outside, I did not particularly like the bunker-like hedge in front or the dark fencing in back, but these are quibbles. Kitty cat adds to the value of the home, in my opinion.
