Louder has always been one of my favorite Crue songs. It sounds so raw and the attitude in Mick's guitar is unreal.

Generation Swine was an experimental album. The entire album is weird and them trying something different. No, it didn’t work. Very good call. The Album without Vince titled “Motley Crue” is one of the BEST! You should listen to “ Hooligan’s Holiday” or “Hammered”. They are killer! Give those a try. I think you will be hooked. 🤘🏼🔥🤘🏼
I absolutely love the album without Vince in it. If you are a Motley Crue fan you are not supposed to say that. But I agree with you that’s my favorite album from them.
I saw Crue live in March of 1990 at 15 years old on the Dr Feelgood tour but yet I feel I missed the boat because it was only up until 1986 Motley Crue were cutting edge in the studio and live
I think "Afraid" from GS is a fantastic song.
I pretty much left most of US by mid 2010 and now went to Japan and Europe. So much better rock/metal there. I think one band you'll like is a band out of Mexico of 3 sisters that play great rock music. Recommend songs by The Warning

From a self proclaimed "Motley expert", I think you absolutely nailed it, Vince has himself said he did not like making the Generation Swine album, just back in the band with new song direction. That said, I love all Crue records it took a minute to grow on me this one. Motley Crue "Motley Crue" from 94 was a different singer and that album destroys!
It's funny I'm 55 and can still sing like that but everyone says I sound like bon Scott more and it makes it more crazy sounding and kicks you in a face because it has to be loud and In your face loud

Thanks for the shout out... ❤It's all good... u can be honest and not every song can be a gem... "Generation swine" was one of the driven rock songs but not for everyone... It was an attempt to be both industrial and punk rock in the 90's... But if u loved 'Louder than hell'... u can try any Motley Crue song from that 1985 album 'Theater of Pain' - "Home sweet home" ... 'Keep your eye on the money' ... 'City boy blues'... "Smokin' in the boys room" ... etc. It's a classic 🤘🤘
Their 1981 debut album 'Too fast for love' - many Motley fans love that record, but it's a bit raw... It does have some great songs like 'Live wire' ... 'Piece of your action' ... 'On with the show' ... 'Take me to the top'
Guns N' Roses also had songs that didn't work - fans who loved "Sweet child O' Mine" or 'Welcome to the jungle'... did not enjoy certain songs like 'Garden of Eden' ... or 'Shotgun blues'... and later era GNR songs like "Shackler's revenge" were just not good.
Metallica was one of my favorite bands and I couldn't stand later songs like 'Invisible kid' ... or 'Prince Charming'.

Louder than Hell was a pretty good song. I remember that song. Generation Swine, not so much. Actually the whole album was subpar.
Other songs to check out Live Wire, Too Fast For Love, Looks That Kill, Wild Side, Kick Start Your Heart and Without You. Skip any you already know of these. They are all better than Generation Swine.
I am glad I am not alone with that song. I was feeling bad for not listening all the way through, but I had to be honest with that one which is why I had to stop it. I will definitely give a listen to any of those I haven't done.

I agree. I always feel you can tell and there is nothing worse than telling someone isn't liking it yet saying they do. I have seen some do that and I was like nope not on this channel haha
The only good songs on Generation Swine are 'Glitter' and 'Afraid'... The rest of the album sucks.
Really.... Glitter....? lol. I'd rank it not far above "Brandon".... 'Let's make a baby inside of you' has to be one of the cringiest, cheesiest lyrics in a Crüe song (even if Bryan Adams wrote it)...
