The first driver needs to have a chat with the cops after that performance. There are a lot of kids around there and it's clear he got well out of shape as he came out of the water. Stupid and dangerous driving.

Maybe the people on the bridge/footpath are the ones enticing such behaviour from drivers? People like to show off in front of cameras and those are cheering for it.
Absolutely flabbergasted with the first clip, multiple cars and the cyclist could've been taken out by that outrageous driving.
This is probably the first time I hope the police use one of these videos to prosecute the driver.

Agreed. Not wanting to be a killjoy but some of those drivers aren’t really in proper control of their vehicle. They see the crowds and all common sense goes out the window, just want to show off.

Police need to speak to the driver of AJ22AOV - that cyclist was put at significant risk and the driver almost lost control hitting that orange ST Focus - fun has now transitioned to high risk.
Also no one should be parking on the street during the weekend it is clearly signed and there is a car park but everyone believes it is fine to just dump the car anywhere and sit there with their phones out
@@floodwatch4x4 - there's no signage or lane markings to suggest parking on the road isn't allowed though and sadly I can understand a fear of parking in car parks when oftentimes we're told you can only do so for the particular function or up to 2 hours or whatever otherwise they'd be fined.
It's unfair to attribute any blame to another motorist when the Jeep driver was careless driving, dangerous driving and committed assault - if we really want to go there, but yeah I guess the other people and visitors are more of a problem.

And, as much as I have enjoyed seeing some of the activity in the past, it has gotten completely out of hand now. Hate to be a misery guts, but how long before there is a serious accident here & the whole thing gets shut down? More and more people there & speeds are going up and up as people do their "look at me" drive past... Just a little restraint & this will be enjoyed safely for many years to come. As it is it's only a matter of time :( Two very near misses in this video alone.

I wonder if AJ22 AOV has checked this latest Tom Sutherland video and seen his own registration number published all over TH-cam. It would appear (though not confirmed) that as a result of his driving style enough people have now felt he should be reported. Looks like a potential licence losing incident.. Downfall of the jeep. At least no-one was injured but its only a matter of time driving like that and they close the ford and we all lose out from our daily dose of fun

It's been entertaining to date but I really worry it's starting to get a little too dangerous as drivers increase speed to show off and splash onlookers. Maybe time for the council to send a snow plough there every 15 minutes to completely soak everyone as a form of crowd dispersal. Either that or a water cannon.
Or y'know they'll just build a bridge. That will happen the minute someone gets hurt if not before at this rate.

It looked like the white car doing a three point turn was blocked from doing so by a car coming the other way having to pass parked cars. Parking is becoming a big issue along that road.

If speeds & popularity keep increasing like this, with pedestrians standing in the road to film, someone is going to get severely hurt or even killed.

Then it'll be closed permanently. People will have to take the slightly longer way 'round & the river will be left to the ducks & the fishes.
Which won't be a bad idea. All the salt & oil in the road muck under these vehicles mean ducks covered in oil & aquatic life dying due to changes in salinity which river life is very sensitive to.
I think huge speed humps need to be put on the rosd either side &, at low flow, in the river itself.
If it's not controlled soon then & there's a fatality or two then the local highways sgency will make changes that'll ruin the current ford & access roads.
Personally I think automatic gates that come down, triggered by water depth, and speed humps on either side.
The gates can be made from pressure treated wood so they won't be too garish.

You can't fix stupid, you can only ruin things for responsible people. If they kill someone, prosecute them for their actions. That's all you can really do other than not going there to watch

Seeing the drive-along view makes it really clear how blind the corner is, and how busy and congested each side of the ford can be. Makes the speeds some people were doing through there even more dangerous. No wonder it got shut.

That green 110 is gorgeous, I have csw windows in my 110 van aswell it is perhaps one of my favourite mods done to it. Jealous of the poptop roof though!

That first driver was dangerous. However, report one and you'll have to report them all.
The cops should locate that black Jeep driver Registration AJ22 AOV and come down hard on him/her. That was outrageous and totally aggressive (ne. dangerous) piece of driving at very high speed. He was breaking so many laws. Speeding. dangerous driving, Common assault ( drenching innocent bystanders), losing control of his vehicle swerving). I'm all for the splash, spray and a bit of fun, and I love the videos, but that was not funny for one second.. It only takes someone, with persistence and determination to pass the video to the police and there will be a knock on his door, with accompanying video evidence. His number is clearly visible on the video..
Please report this, before someone is killed.
