I used a basket pattern similar to this as a stash buster! I held 3-4 strands together, using one variegated yarn with a variety of solids and a large hook. I really enjoyed using lots of scrap yarns really quickly! And gave them as gifts! Love your posts!
Pretty basket. I love t-shirt yarn and, yes, it is hard on the muscles, tendons and joints. I have worn a compression glove and arm support while crocheting with this yarn. Is it worth it? Yes. T-shirt yarn makes beautiful and sturdy baskets and purses. My favorite is Yarn and Chai's square basket. Love the look and the neat stitching. I've crocheted one of her patterns before. It was well written and the accompanying video tutorial made the purse easy to make. Lastly, too bad Bernat stopped making their Home Dec t-shirt yarn. This simple yarn, sold in local US craft stores, was beautiful. The same yarn was later available with filling which was okay but a bit too bulky for me and my projects. Great video, Elise. Thank you.
Thank you for sharing the gorgeous baskets and I love everyone of them. I recently watched a video where Melanie Hamm ( she has passed away but has a lot of beautiful tutorials on her blog) crocheted a large basket with clothesline material. It’s fantastic and ever since I want to try it. Congratulations Elise on wining too. Lol I never win anything either lol.
I agree. I watched several of the wonderful tutorials when I restarted crocheting again. I was so sad to read her blog of her story. What a wonderful beautiful woman; taken away from her family way to soon. She was purely a beautiful person. Her husband did a video not long ago. If you haven’t seen it it’s worth watching ❤️❤️❤️
I really enjoyed this video, Elise! This came at the perfect time, I have been looking for a nice basket to store my yarn in, I didn't stop to think that I could make one! Thank you for the ideas!
Good morning, Elise! What a fabulously inspirational episode, not surprising though for they always are! I had to watch it three times to make notes about everything which was flying around in my head! Recently, I have made some cute little baskets with five crochet panels (squares or rectangles) using garden twine in lieu of yarn. Although a little “rough” on your fingers, I find that it’s not too hard on joints and it give a lovely rustic finish. I am planning to make autumnal shallow ones to arrange in a nature table display ... anyway, that’s what is trotting in my head right now! Wishing you a lovely end of week, with love from North Yorkshire 🤗
Hello Elise, I love all of them. I been thinking where to put all the food I'm crocheting for my goddaughter.🍎🍊🥑🍅 I'll make one of those baskets for that and one for me 😁Thank you for one more wonderful video. About air plants, I had many in the past with very bad luck. They are beautiful.
A basket would be perfect for all the crocheted food!! You definitely need one for yourself!! 😂 And I don't have good luck with indoor plants in general, so I bet I would kill air plants too! 🌿🌿🌿
I am still very much a beginner to crochet but I love your patterns. (I am trying to complete your beautiful crocheted bunnies)Thank you for introducing me to other crochet patterns! I love watching your videos! ❤️💕
I am definitely making that basket it’s precious. I want try that t-shirt yarn. You always make the cutest things. You know did anyone ever tell you, that you look so much like that movie star Faith Ford. Look her up you could be her twin. I have a subscription to Yarn & Chai she has great patterns. You have great videos love them. Kris

Hello Elise! I can’t believe how lucky I am to stumble upon a vlog about baskets tonight! I’m in a redecorating phase and I have just started the “Tidy up storage basket” by Paintbox this afternoon; it’s going to be a quite large one and I was looking for patterns for smaller baskets 😀 I really like the Teardrop hanging baskets and the Tofino basket! Also the Jenna stash buster you’ve made is gorgeous! Thank you for all the ideas 🧡🤎🌿
That is quite the coincidence! I am all about my home right now too! I am purging, cleaning, organizing and redecorating as well! Can't wait to see how your basket turns out!
