The boss fights are so well-designed for the developers first go at an official 3D Kirby game that I hope to see a Kirby Fighters 3 or a new Kirby Clash that uses The Forgotten Land's mechanics and 3D levels
Some time ago, I would have asked for a new Blowout Blast, but this seems kind of redundant now xD
Also, Kirby Fighters in 3D is pretty much Battle Royale

I myself have actually done this run and actually clear it with no abilities or items...by the skin of teeth Chaos Elfilin he was so frustratingly difficult
So I commened you for doing so well!
I came literal FRAMES within doing it that way, only to get taken out by a laser blast 0.01 seconds before the killing star bullet struck Chaos Elfilis. Would’ve given up on life right then and there if I had actually been trying to beat it for the first time as opposed to just going back for fun after beating it initially like I was.
One must wonder how one with exellent dodging skills can make it through this cup with NO ability. Or items.
And if you don't use ranged abilities, you have to deal damage to the boss while standing under him
Dodging is extremely forgiving though, it’s way too easy since it has a slowdown effect that lasts forever

_Sheeeeesh!_ I got through on my first try, but with the Morpho ability and all boosters activated, I died once to the second phase of chaos, AND it STILL took me 38 minutes to get through! Excellent work!!!

Pro tips for any one trying to do this: if by the time you have reached meta knight you havent heal once, then you will probably be fine as long as you eat one of your tomatoes after every battle you have taken a resonable amount of damage from this point forward.
Also remember that you receive a extra healing item before fighting Chaos Elfilin, play you cards right and it becomes easy to reach Chaos Elfilin with Full Health or at least a good amount, that will make the 2 phase in particular less likely to kill you.
Try to not attack the bosses while they do their "battle cry, of course if there are a lot of stars around ,yes , attack him, but if you have only one shot, try using it after the battle cry becuase while in that transition, they will take less damage, so avoid attacking during it.
Dont underestimate the charged attacks during the first strecht of the Arena (Like Sillydillos Spin or Clawrolines jump attack), this moves normally drop a good amount of stars an are generally predictible, but if you get greedy, you will get punish really hard, so if you get hit by one of those attacks, you might want to reconsider if this is trully the run where you are going to defeat the Arena instead of wasting your time.
In the fight with Meta knight, be always prepared to avoid the 2 energy slashes he does in the air, its more likely to do this than finishing the ground combo so be always aware of it.
Leongar is hard, Morpho is not that much: If you manage to defeat leongar in a good state, you are basically at Chaos's door, because as long as you dont get greddy in the tornado attacks form Morpho, the fight is relatibly easy compared to Forgo Leongar and its B#@%^#/ second phase, just dont forget to either float or run with Morpho and you will be fine.
Best way to do it is Morpho Knight Sword+ (MUST have the upgraded ability or else you’re going to have a hard time) and a double up health. I keep it in storage and save it until the end (the fight with Chaos Elfilis’ second form, you can use it on his first form but its best to save your powerups). Or even easier, you can drink a double life potion and buy another to keep; you’re basically having four lives at this point. It’s so good bc the double life lets you do the crescent beams even when you take damage (works up until you’re down to your last life and took damage) and saves you a lot of time!

I tried this run and I managed to get to Chaos Elfilis but HOLY SHIT that boss was so much
I like how even “in another realm”, the arena still has stands just like in waddle dee town’s arenas
I wish for the elfilis fight, that they added an overhead hitbox for the swings, I think that'd be more engaging maybe not for all of them, but if some of them came from above I think that'd be really cool
this! i was honestly kinda disappointed at how many attacks were just nullified by hovering. maybe that could be a cool challenge. getting through true arena without hovering at all.
@@anything6036 Eh, they still utilize a lot of vertical attacks, although the giant spear swing is still criminal.
Also, after some analysis, the swings actually DO have an overhead hitbox- specifically on the sides of the swings. Not game changing, but those who're close to them while in the air will stop get hit( odd detail ).

The reprise of the music is very greatly timed and shows that Elfilis isn't done so I like it better.
Imagine if the chaos elfilis swinging attacks went in random directions and tried to catch you if you floated.

This is literally this game's equivalent to Absolute Radiance! and the Ultimate Cup Z is the Game's equivalent to the Pantheon of HallowNest!

These are still two wildly different games with vastly different types of gameplay and content. Kirby is nowhere near the level of difficulty Hollow Knight is at, I was just making a Surface Level comparison between two end-of-the-game boss rush gauntlets, Because that's all the comparison they need for the point I was trying to make.
The differing number of bosses between each gauntlet didn't even need bringing up because that's not the point I was making.

It doesn't matter. It's a mode where you fight boss after boss with little else in between and you can choose how hard or easy you want it to be depending on what pickups you take between fights to recover health or switch abilities.
It's the Ultimate Challenge. the highest test of a Player's skill on that particular game. That's the comparison. That's what makes them the equivalents of each other in their respective games.
@@krysmun Oh, I never meant to suggest that one is harder than the other! I was just pointing out that they’re not quite the same kind of challenge, as Kirby focuses on a small set of major bosses while Hollow Knight gives you a massive set comprised of both huge, challenging monsters and small, easy midbosses in between-they both took me uncountable ages to win. Apologies if I sounded insensitive; I’ll be more careful with my phrasing next time.
Anyone think that there could be post-release content like in Star Allies. Yes, most of the DLC was Dream Friends, but the final DLC wave added a new mode.
Thing is, Star Allies needed the DLC. This one already feels pretty complete as it is.
I feel like it’s possible, even probable.
If I had to guess, maybe it could add a new area relating to Elfilis’s origins and the current location of whoever lived in the Forgotten Land before the events of the game, adding back some iconic old copy abilities (Fighter, Stone, Plasma/Spark, etc).
While I agree that the game feels complete, I feel like HAL’s the type of company who would go above and beyond with these sort of things, and DLCs on the Switch are easy enough to implement, so DLC is certainly possible.
Maybe they’ll finish the rest of the copy abilities and their upgrades :D

Also to recap on morph knight he was born after absorbing galactic knight from Star alliance so thanks to Kirby and the Star alliance it gives us a little recap of where he was born when they first encountered him but also defeating him it teleported him to the dream world after he was defeated by Kirby and his new friends even the enemy mobs that we keep recruiting everyday and he goes into Fargo's dreams after in a deep meditated state when you defeat him and attempt to rescue Leon this game may have some interesting lores I may say

You should probably put the name of the actual phantom bosses for the phantom bosses because they have new attacks, like you mentioned with Soul of Sectonia and Shadow Dedede.
Edit: Forgo Leon should be listed as Forgo Leon because he’s not King of the Beasts, he’s Possessed Beast. Titles are different, same with Fecto and Chaos Elfilis. Bosses in question also have new attacks.
Stop naming them the names of the normal versions of them, name them the names of the bosses in question, that way people won’t get confused because this is confusing, even for me.
Looks like Fawful's Minion might want to revise his Top 10 (or 15, I can't remember which) Kirby Bosses list.

@@saiyanscaris6530 At least Fecto Elfilis if not his Chaos form. Yes a lot of modern kirby bosses are eldritch horrors, but this and Void felt like you were actually fighting a god.
He did that 2 or 3 years ago, I think it's a bit too soon.

Movements here were really well executed. The Phantom Forgo Dedede fight still gave me anxiety. The only reason he doesn't kill you is he doesn't hit as hard.
If I did a No Copy Ability run on This game, it would certinally end on the Meta Knight fight.

I love how some of chaos elfilis's move set came from queen sectonia. Specifically when kirby fought her in the soul self in the true arena in kirby triple deluxe, just thought I should point that out.
If you're talking about the flaming fireball attack, both of those bosses actually take this from Drawcia Soul.

There's also a few moves in the second form that remind me of Marx Soul (splitting into multiple small orbs and then sending them towards the ground, and the multiple cutter blade attacks especially).
This game has lots of references to Triple Deluxe such as the enemies used and certain music used in the game which I thought was neat
Soul bosses in general like to share attacks. The black hole came from marx, the cutters, bounce, paint, and fireball came from drawcia. His first form uses magolor's laser portals and portal charge, the crossways lasers come from sectonia. Doesn't seem to take much from star dream or void as far as i can tell, other than possibly his swooping attacks being a reference to void termina 3.

The Z may come from the naming of the spin-offs on the 3DS, where they originally had a “Z”, but they changed it to “Deluxe”, and those glorified sub games are harder and more complete, so this cup having a Z, suggest this is the True Arena

@@MetroidDread313 It's not when you defeat bosses actually. It heals everytime you hit certain attacks like your basic 3 slash combo, the counter attack after you dodge, and the first and second charge of the spin attack, which heals more the more hits you get in with it
Game won't consider your time on the internet leaderboards due to you using items that are "cheater-central". You can do it if you want, but it MAY hurt your ego.

Food for thought : Galacta Knight, supposedly the strongest warrior of the galaxy, so powerful that he almost one-shot Star Dream, didn't survive Morpho Knight's absorption.
Not only did Elfilis survive that thing, but it was able to get a new body from it.
Is it fair to say that Elfilis could take Galacta Knight in a fight?
Elfilis would probably beat him.
I don’t think physical strength is necessarily what’s needed to overcome the will of the butterfly; it’s been near Kirby way too many times and has yet to “absorb” it in a sense. Galacta Knight is a hero from the ancient past but we have yet to see his character (aside from a few vague descriptions made from others). Like when the Star Dream said Galacta Knight might destroy a planet or two. It seems that Galacta Knight isn’t as benevolent or even caring as Kirby. Maybe it’s not physical strength, but emotional/mental strength and the strength in being kind/noble/selfless, doing heroic actions like Kirby while also being a benevolent, kind, and caring being like him.
Much like Emerald said, physical strength most certainly has nothing to do with it. But I'd also like wager a headcanon.
Morpho Knight is often seen absorbing the souls of other strong beings. But also think of him as like the Egyptian God Anubis. In history, Anubis weighs the soul of the deceased to decide if they'd move on to the ["good"] afterlife, or be sent to the Underworld/let their souls be devoured by the Egyptian God Ammit. Souls being devoured? Judgement? Interesting, as Morpho Knight's descriptions often refer to him as a being of judgement. On top of that, he absorbs their souls, much like Ammit "absorbs" [eats] the souls of the deceased.
Is he the Kirby universe's version of Anubis and Ammit? I'd take a good guess and say yes. At worst I'm wrong and at best I completely predict his exact role for future games LMAO.

Ice does give you an impenetrable block, yes! Unlike Sword, Ice has this block across all of its evolutions, while Sword only gets it via Gigant Sword.

the ability has a bit of lifesteal which covers you against attrition from all the fights, but you have to get up close and personal, which can get you hit a lot if you're not careful.
I fail it on the last boss.. i paid 14k to revive but at the end I didn't have enough coins to respawn and I lost
You should also do no dodge tbh, since it’s just easy mode. I did that successfully but haven’t had a no damage run yet.

It really seems so‚ and I love this.
Most of the bosses are designed to go down easily against abilityless Kirby, and have a bunch of safe openings for him.

yes. theres actually a waddle dee mission for doing that in the bridge level of the winter area.
This might be just me but I feel like the dodge roll was a bit too op and made every single boss except for chaos elfilis extremely easy to the point where by the time I got to the chaos elfilis fight I was still at max HP
