Those trails are awesome. grew up riding there!! It’s two way traffic so watch the tight turns for bikes and quads. Also the DNR love to hide out at the stop signs waiting for you to role through and not stop!
You complain about the rain then say the best dirt LOL .. Ive learned this year after getting back into dirt biking that I love the wet riding,.. Its the best for our sandy azzz trails. Late summer riding this year has been dry.
@Captain250FX thanks. Grew up riding sleds and atvs. Then street sport bikes for 8yrs. Kinda worried about lack of power when needed in sandy areas. So looks like I need to look into the yz250fx, kx250x, or honda crf250rx.
@@Captain250FX Thank you very much. I ask because I have gotten turned around on more than one trail up there. My buddy says I get lost, but I think saying I get turned around sounds better :) Anyways...I am hoping a mapping system will help. Thanks for the follow up. Love your channel. Keep posting your vids.
We made a gas stop at Starvation Lake so I just topped off the and wasn't really concerned about gas. If we didn't I would have had to carry gas. These new TBI’s are thirsty.
I think you are faster on my bike!!! A couple clarifications - my bike feels comfortable because it has lowered pegs (Flo) and rear suspension is revalved with Racetech gold valve, front is Dal Soggio Sphere's set up for me, bike is 300XC TPI tuned by John Ross with powervalve out nearly flush, power is solid but linear.
Why don't you post about the people who do not groom the trails for the money we pay for stickers! Thanks for ruining the trails by not minding your own business. Now the kalkaska trail will suck also!
that was a great day. I'm ready to go back.
I was on that exact section of trail yesterday. Stop telling everyone how awesome it is! ;-P thanks for the cool video, excellent work as always.
Watching yours trying to remember sections. I ride these trails a lot. Nice flowy stuff
The dirt was so good from all the rain!
@Captain250FX yeah. Usually, when I ride it, it's a sandy, dusty mess.

Thanks for the heads-up. That sounds like Baldwin.

Definitely a fast trail!
Rode tin cup last weekend first guys on the single track dirt was awesome after the rain on Saturday night
I bet. Can't beat a ride after a good rain!
Nice trail. I'll have to check it out.
Definitely a nice fun trail!

How do you think a new klx300r would do on the trails? Im not looking to break records, and itll take me a while to be at your pace and comfort.
It would do ok, but you will quickly outgrow that bike if you really got bit by the dirt bike bug. It's definitely a great beginner bike though.

Best mount made is the ram x-mount. Haven’t broke or lost phone in over 100 hrs of riding
Do you use a GPS mapping system when you ride the trails in northern Michigan? If so, which mapping system you use? Thanks.
I don't but some of the guys I ride with do. They use Avenza or the Polaris App.

@@Captain250FX I thought mine was, glad yours is thirsty as well lol. Thanks for the reply.
