Here is my short story on the Jackpine. My first year was 1981. It was the second year it was a one day event. The AMA really wanted it to be just one day. I guess they wanted to put 2 days of riding into one, because it was around 180 miles long and I believe 150 was single tract. I remember one long section in the afternoon I didn't see or hear another rider for like 30 minutes. I thought I was lost. finally someone caught me . This event was the hardest thing I had ever done, and I had ridden enduro's where there was only 4 finishers. But I was hooked. This year was number 26 for me. Just trying to make it to number 100.
That is an amazing story, thank you! You guys were tough as nails back then for sure. I would probably get swamp ass and start crying around mile 80. ✌🏽
I’ve watched your videos for an over a year. I started on a 250FX and now our whole crew is on KTM 2-strokes. I kept saying “man this guy needs to get on a KTM 2-stroke”. Glad ya did! We rode Bass Lake and Porterfield Lake based off your videos. Thanks for the content!!!
2 buddy's and I were signed up line 17 we all couldn't make it sucked! Great video and your getting fast on that husky! Last section was gnarley af! Idk how those guys are that fast in sections like that
My uncle over alled the A class there back in the 70's I have pictures of the trophy somewhere in my Insta I think it is. It was on my bucket list, the year I had paid, sent in my entry, I ended up in the hospital with some health issues, That is the only race I didnt get to check off my list.
@@Captain250FX I would love to come up and ride. Right now I am caring for my parents, i am very limited on any travel, my father has cancer and dementia. I have not gotten to ride in a few years, I have a new bike that is not even broken in. but I will reach out should I be able to get away in the fall. or next spring. Im kind of old now so I do not ride like I used to. one knee replacement, one on the way and both shoulders rebuilt. LOL but 40 some years of riding and racing will do that. Do you ever come down and ride the Muddobbers Enduro, I live close to there. it has been my home race until it got so full now I do not ride it. the whole National thing and 500+ riders just is not the same. My uncle Jim overalled it in 69 His name is on the big plaq they have. If you havent rodden it they have a duel sport every year that runs the whole enduro trail.
No I haven’t. I think I seen you post about that the other day on MMTR. I seen Logan Desnmore reply about they aren’t allowed with gas powered classes. He would know because he’s the head of the sprint enduro series and also works for the AMA now. My suggestion is to get a hold of him through email or something and ask him if he can steer you in the right direction. Hope this helps.
@Captain250FX it does. I am getting a lot of conflicting information. I will email him. I also have a ktm 250sxf so I think I am going to give a hare scramble a try
@@averagefamily4272 even if they wouldn’t allow me to score points I would love to try that stark in a Hare Scramble for a video just to see if that stark could make a whole race? 😉
@Captain250FX for the gopro. Is it one of the ones with a replaceable lens? If so a new lens will help with the droplets. On my part 3 water got right in the middle and got shifted off by a couple hard landings
I use 3drops of Rain X on the inside of my goggles when It's humid or raining ( so the water falls off in droplets and never clouds the lens) .
I’ll have to give that a try thanks.

Really appreciate your videos! Thanks for taking the time to do them!! Row 72 awesome dirt,
Thank you and thanks for watching!
I was 72 too
Ive road every jack pine but 2 since 1986
Row 33 this yr
Now that is cool! I'm on a three-year streak lol. Maybe next year I can meet up with you.
I was on row 57 and your right the dirt was amazing. But there was some mud in places. It was a ton of fun
That was a lot of fun for sure!
That last section looked tough. It’s not fun trying to let someone pass in tight woods like that. You did a good job finding places and not stopping.
Thanks, Donnie! I forgot to turn on the camera for the tightest part of that last section. I know you are finally racing soon, good luck.

Sucks you couldn't make it. Thanks for watching!
We blazed the trail on row 1, hopefully you guys found some hotlines! Great video.
Thanks, Brad! That must've been cool being on row one. I was row 55 being a squid and doing squid things! 💀
Thanks for sharing! We were blazing trail on row 7. I hit so many trees trying to keep up with the A guy on our row 😅
Thanks for clearing trail! 😆
It became a family back in 1070's one day going back to the club we pick up a ride and it was Jack Penton
Sweet!
Great video man! I was on row 43
Thank you 🤙
My dad ran the jackpine back in the late 60s. Got a couple of trophy's. Back then I do believe they actually started in Lansing
That's awesome thanks for sharing!
I was on Row 20…what a fun day!
Agreed, super fun!

Do you ever see electric motorcycles (Stark Varg) at D-14 hare scrambles? I have one and would like to try hare scrambles.
