The price being reasonable means this is actually a viable option unlike basically every other dual acreen laptop. An they got OLED screens into thst budget.
Awesome ❤ But what about a thinner but larger version with 15" inch screens? Less thicker, with 90W or 100W battery and larger touchpad 🤤 I'd pay 40% more for this (even more perfect) version 😅
This would be amazing for my weekly D&D campaign that I'm playing in. We use Foundry as a digital tabletop, and I've always got a browser up with rules, and another window with a Google Sheet that I've set up to track and calculate our loot. Right now I'm using a Steam Deck with an external display (Foundry/rules on the external display, Google Sheet on the built in display with a Mechanism kickstand), but this plus the external display would be ideal.
The AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 is a Strix Point family processor. The APU comes with 12 CPU cores running at 2.0 GHz to 5.1 GHz, the 16 CU RDNA 3+ Radeon 890M graphics adapter and the 50 TOPS XDNA 2 neural engine.
If this thing had just one screen & price adjusted for having just one screen - I am sold. What is also crazy is that it technically crushes asus 13 inch laptops too when it comes to price, even if it only has APU, but then again - this APUs seems to perform like RTX 2050 or maybe even 3050. And it is even future proof as it has eGPU connector. The only thing that kinda throws me off is that there is now way to use it as a laptop with other screen folded down & turned off.
It's a very cool product. Considering the specs and dual screens, and that it's a workstation machine (Not gaming oriented) it hits all the right boxes and the cost is better than its competitors.
I can see the utility of this in tight spaces like airplanes or trains where a portable monitor would not be feasible, or on your lap on the go, but I honestly would not like all the looks that this would attract, for instance in a waiting room....
This is great. I have a zenbook duo 2024, it looks to be a little slimmer than this but I only get about 3 hours of battery at most with this. I'd trade the thickness for the extra battery
This is what I want with the OneNet OneXplayer X2😋 Basically, a second screen at the top, like a Lenovo i9 Duo. Ayaneo has the opportunity to also make a large AyanNeo Slide Duo Screen as well.
I'm curious how this device compares in size to donating like the Minisforum V3? Also, is it lap-able? Would love to see another video on this with more testing...
95% of the laptops Ive had I put to rest due to hinges being too far gone, and usually taking their mounts in the chassis with them. I'd have to have some solid long term reviews to pull the trigger on something like this.
Is this the perfect laptop?! Like... No typical compromises for a 13" laptop. Yes, it chonky, but what can you expect for a dual screen laptop, with all those ports, a proprt cooling solution and 80 Wh battery? The I/O alone puts 99% of all 13" laptops (and many 16" even) to shame. I also love that they show you dont need to go OLED., Tbh, I would be happy with just single screen model of this laptop
@@tauqeerdarve4876 my assumption is that if you're a dev, then a second monitor would've already been in your setup. I guess this is handy for those who work not only in their personal space but also outside (coffee shops, libraries, etc.)
This seems a little like getting a VHS player right as DVD players were coming out. I think the future of computer use is going to be AR. The first generation of them have already come out but eventually you'll be able to have 3 or 4 monitors for the weight of a pair of sunglasses and the power draw will be less than one of these monitors. The displays that go into the glasses just need to get better.
You could get a gaming laptop with a discreet GPU AND a portable monitor and still have money left over for the price of this. But setting this up at Starbucks would be worth it just for the perplexed and envious looks it would get.
So they put 2 "3k" OLED displays on this thing and it still doesn't support native HDR content? Most OLED laptops support Dolby Vision let alone 10-bit HDR signals. This could have been a great video editing laptop with that oculink port in the back
a bit too crazy considering the getting larger market of usb-c external monitors. they should have a product similar/competing with Minisforum V3 tablet instead.
the starting price for the indiegogo preview page says $1270 for the base model (16gb ram and 512gb ssd) up to $1860 for the max model (64gb ram and 2tb ssd)
@drewsarkisian9375 what do you mean it's form factor is already cumbersome at best whats another half an inch for a mobile 4070 or something useful for driving 2 screens . the whole point of 2 screens is to do work and some people need more than than onboard gpu can push

This one is better spec wise right? (Im ignorant and know only a lil bit about specs)
@@GetERekted far better spec'd.
This laptop looks like a love letter to 90s portable shenanigans and its awesome. It even becomes a very chunky tablet.
I love this form factor, and I think it would be great for remote workers too tbh. Definitely going to keep my eye on this one.
Never in my life have I ever seen a laptop with 2 screens that's crazy
Nothing new, first one announced was almost 2 years ago, by Lenovo Yoga 9i, ASUS followed suit right away also within 9 months.
The ultimate in NDS emulation.
We need more laptops with an Oculink port.
The CPU performance is not the best, but I give it a 10/10 for the Oculink.
i love that you have a set up for saying "thanks for watching" on every video
Looks amazing, they should do a 16" version.
I would just get a portable monitor for a secondary laptop screen. But I applaud these kind of weird designs.
What portable monitor has an OLED screen, at least 400 its brightness, touch screen, pen support, stands on top of the first screen, etc...
@@RK-um9tu don't know about pen support. But portable oled screens with touch support aren't rare if I do a quick Google. There's a lot of choice.
@@brulsmurfbut then it’s going to be expensive….so will that be cost effective as compared to this?
@@TMC3000 you got them for 150 on Amazon and for 1000 from Asus. I'm not an artist so I can't say what's good
Yeah, right. I have a Samsung S9+ tablet I would love to use, but it only emulates a screen, it can't be a 2nd screen.
I would love it if they put the bottom screen as 120hz and top screen at 60hz that would just be epic
I've already been ma,ing my own version of this for years with portable monitors and magnets. Awesome that there is a laptop that includes it now!
The price being reasonable means this is actually a viable option unlike basically every other dual acreen laptop. An they got OLED screens into thst budget.
This laptop is a dev's wet dream.
It isss. It has everything I need. Can just throw another larger monitor and an eGPU and it's going to be an amazing experience.
My portable 2nd monitor gets occasional questions (only dudes) but this would freeze a coffee shop
this really looks sweet to work and play
This will perfect for Day trading, glad it also has a USB 4 port to use the alogic hub to add 2 more monitors
Thank you for this
That's quite a beautiful unit!

Duo screen on top definitely fix our neck, good design 🎉
Did u finally start voice overing again. Or is it just that good now?
GPD just looked at ASUS's Zenbook Duo 2024 and thought "yeah I can do better than that"
They are charging you a massive premium for that oculink port
i rather the screen open from the side and not the top
They definitely designed this for people running diag on another system, since it's faster to glance up and back down than to the side.
Most portable locations like train this works better. It's a small laptop and easier to do tablet mode
Much better for it to be on top as a laptop.
I much prefer the orientation they used here. You can still use two portable monitors on either side with the USB4 and Hdmi 2.1.
This would be great for reading/authoring long documents (like code). It'd be even better if the hinge area between the 2 screens was bezeless.
Occulink review with RTX40 series card please! It is heavy at over 2kg but some nice specs!
I agree gotta see how Oculink works with it
If the screen have opened horizontally it'd be like an instant buy for me. Maybe in the future they do a horizontal model.

Is it required to power on the laptop in order for the second screen to work as a monitor for an external device?
It's not the most comfortable to carry around🤔🤦A side screen made more sense👍

Yooo this would be perfect to play old school battleship on wtf
Which wireless keyboard is that?
I'd imagine this will have terrible battery life (not that any self respecting designer/power user will be totally running on battery)
