@@firefly9838I don’t believe that unless you had a trade in to lower price. I’m familiar with Mazda and also bought a CX-5. In 2021 the CX-5 GT with premium package, non turbo and no AWD was $33,775. You did not get a newer model with more equipment (turbo) for $34k. Especially with dealers charging sticker when supply was low.
I have a 6 month old CX-5 Premium in crystal blue Mica and love the dial and not a touch screen. Might just be personal preference but it's a distraction for me to have to reach up to select from the screen.
Once you own it, you'll stop using the touchscreen in a week or two. The knob controls are actually superior. People are just fixated on touchscreens because they don't know any better.
And eliminated for a reason: Mazda isn’t interested in their low money offerings. They need to make more per transaction for R&D. Mazda is following Apple pricing approach. Expensive and exclusive, not everyone can have one, structure. I like it.

@@2004cyrus yeah that's for the Signature trim only. When I made this comment I didn't realize the Carbon Edition still had the matte black trim around the body. It's the Turbo trim that has the gloss black plastic.
@@matsudakodo I am 90% certain that I’ve been seeing painted fenders on lower trims also. I was at Mazda 2 weeks ago. It started with signature tho yet. I like the CX-5 for the money it costs. I love my 2021. I like that there is no hybrid or CVT or auto start/stop or silly gas saving tech. Is it perfect, nothing I can find is, but it’s good if you accept it as it is. Really well made, feels lovely and better made than CR-V or Rav-4. My partner has a new VW Tiguan and there are lots of pluses with that in terms of storage and soft driving comfort and quietness.
@@2004cyrus I love my CX-5 Turbo. Gets me some practicality but also scratches the performance itch a little. But the body color trim is signature only, and the black gloss is Turbo only. All of the others get the standard matte textured plastic around the bottom of the car.
Mine is 2023 and I have wireless apple car play 😂 I bought it on Amazon. It’s a USB drive that’s plugged into the car usb slat and boom there you have it 🤷🏾♂️

It’s touch screen for Apple CarPlay but knob operation for the Mazda side of things like radio or satellite radio. Go into your Mazda screen and scroll to settings with the knob and setup wireless. Make sure your smartphone is in pairing mode looking for Mazda and try code on your screens.

I bought a 2024 cx-5 two days ago. Unfortunately, I still have to use the press knob to navigate....but it's a beautiful car.
