Thank you Jayda for another awesome and pretty project! I made mine with a 4wt cotton and a G 4.0 crochet hook and it turned out pretty big.... 14 inches without tassel. Oh my. Maybe I should have done less cookies.... this one will have to be for a big book. Lol

I love it ! Quick and simple
Now I know how to use all my scrap yarn I have no use for anything else because it's just a bunch of little balls. Also it will keep me occupied enough between the patterns for the Mile-a-Minute blanket. The cookie pattern was way too fast to make so the most of May I've spent waiting for the first Friday of June. :D

I usually avoid crochet thread because the one I've tried always twists off the ball. Could you tell me what brand you use because they look easier to work with + gorgeous colours are available. Thanks!
Hi Valerie! This orange variegated thread I used is an old vintage ball (long lost label) but I do use a lot of Aunt Lydia crochet thread which I enjoy. ALL threads that come spun on a cardboard core will twist as they come off, which, yes, is totally annoying! I find that if I let the whole ball dance around inside a bowl, it reduces the twist action a little :)

Hi Adrienne, everyone's taste is a little different, you could make him this bookmark but add a simple sc edging (to be less lacy) and make it in his favourite colour :)

Would Summer Nights yarn work for this or is cotton better?
Hi! Either one would be just fine, the Summer Nights is easy to work with and has a little sparkle (making it extra pretty in my opinion!) but as it's a bookmark, fiber isn't too much of a concern for this project :)
