I remember my grandmother using something like this in her Bible. I can't believe I had forgotten, so cute, making for our local nursing homes. Thank you
I have not done c2c for ages and its a different pattern. Once I watched the first couple of rows of your video, it is a piece of cake. Thank you as I am doing this and another bookmark for a bookmark swap. ❤❤
This is very beautiful!!! At first, it was a bit hard to follow through, but when I get a grip, I really enjoyed doing this! It came out super pretty, I made mine with silver grey cotton, and it is GORGEOUS thank you so much
Hi Veronica , this is a dreamy lacy pattern ! Wow really loved the well explained tutorial.👏👏👏👏👏 Could you please make a book cover out of this same design. I hope you will consider my humble request. Thanks.
Thank you for this very pretty pattern. Could you maybe advise how to make this into a square or even rectangle shape? I'd like to make this into curtains for a vintage dollhouse.
I've had the printed pattern for awhile now...and so happy you have a video for it as well!! Perfect gifts for my bookworm friends. Also love your IG posts!!
When I first saw this I thought it would be using thin crochet thread a small steel hook like doilies. I'm definitely going to try this for use in my book when reading. Thanks for beautiful piece.😇
my bookmark got a more 110 degree angle, how do i fix it? i already sewed it together, it's a gift for someone so id like it to be as perfect as possible
I'm sorry that you skipped rows. I'm not as advanced as others with a new pattern. I wasn't able to finish because I couldn't remember the previous rows. I loved the look of this bookmark. I had to rip it out. I'm very sad.😢
Question: in the first row, we chain 5, and the last one is supposed to be a chain space. But when it is connected to row 2, it is from the 3rd stitch. Doesn't that make it 2 chain space ?
Hi Veronica was wondering do you know how to do the decrease with this stitch as I want to continue this stitch to do this as a blanket but not sure how to decrease so is there any chance you can do a video to show this please thanks Gina ☺️☺️☺️
Hi! It’s so beautiful 😍. Your link on your website doesn’t work for the yarn. I know you said 4-ply, sorry I’m newish to crocheting but what weight yarn is that? Thank you :)
hi! mine opened up as a fan, it was kind of curved, i will try with a bigger hook this time, could this be the problem? or should a try a smaller one instead?
i’m having the same issue, i’ve changed to both bigger and smaller hooks and i’ve tightened and loosened my stiches:( could i make my shells 4 DC rather than 5? bummer i love the look of your end product!
Time stamps for row four and five would've been useful at the point when you quit the follow-along part. Also, you didn't mention that the work should be turned around at some points so i messed up a few times. Otherwise good job! Edit: followed it clearly through but it's not a 90° angle but a lot bigger instead lmao
Beautiful but this tutorial is very confusing. In row 2,it looks like you flipped your work. I didn’t realize until I was already working row 2. It would be helpful in the beginning if you said for row 1 we’re going to make 5 double crochets. I want to make this but this tutorial is difficult. Hard to see what you’re doing 😕
So that's why my work was all weird, I was crocheting round 2 and the bookmark wasn't like in the video 😂 she flipped the shell. Maybe the tutorial isn't confusing, she just needs to explain a bit more because most of us follow the video by ear. And if I remember correctly in her written instructions on her blog, she didn't write to turn the shell 😅... I'm trying to watch it first to see if I can try one more time. It's a gorgeous bookmark, but the video is not that easy to follow unfortunately.

Hi, I gather from Google Translate that you would like a tutorial in Spanish? Unfortunately I do not speak Spanish but there is a written pattern on my blog, you can see the link in description, maybe that will help you a little.
I'm sure this has been mentioned already, but just in case it hasn't been - your written instruction for the last stitch of row ten doesn't match with your video. The written instruction says to slip stitch and in the video you single crochet. Thought you'd appreciate knowing. :)
I love the Pattern but just can not follow it. Your finger is over the stitch and I cant quite workout where you are placing the stitch. Not a critisism, just feedback from a crochetter of 2 years
I found it hard to follow. Like she never tells you to turn the work even though she shows it. I'm not a beginner so I was able to do it based on the video and I love the outcome.
I don’t drag out my tutorials with yarn and hook details, these can be found on my blog, specifically bluestarcrochet.com/crochet-corner-bookmark/ for this pattern
I am excited to make this for all my book lovers in my life.
Thank you! ☺️

Started on the pattern then found the video that answered why I was struggling now it all makes sense
Love the outcome and it didn’t take long at all
Perfect! 👌🏻

I believe the technique is called "corner to corner"
How do you cut off the end of the thread of the first triangle? Will the last stitch hold the thread?
@@Havv78 no, you have to sew the end in securely before cutting off.
@@bluestarcrochet Thank you!

What a great design.

the written pattern is available on the blog, the link is in the description of that help. You can pause and rewind the video too. I hope that helps 😊
Yay, thank you so much for making this. ❤

What is the yarn 🧶 used and hook size ?
All info and links are in the blogpost linked in the description 😊
With which size of hook did you use for that beautiful bookmark? 🥰
all info is on the blog bluestarcrochet.com/crochet-corner-bookmark/
Why not just tell us the size instead of sending us around the world 😂😊

Hello. I have tried to get the pattern on ravelry buts is saying it’s a paid pattern xx
The PDF is paid, the free version is available on the blog
Hi! It’s so beautiful 😍. Your link on your website doesn’t work for the yarn. I know you said 4-ply, sorry I’m newish to crocheting but what weight yarn is that? Thank you :)
If you’re in US 4-ply is a fingering weight
What yarn and size hook are you using please?
Yarn & hook info in the blog post linked in description 😊
Can I know the size of hook??
all pattern info is here bluestarcrochet.com/crochet-corner-bookmark/
What do you mean by starching in 14:03?
You can buy spray starch to stiffen crochet work.
thank you! very easy to follow!
You’re very welcome ☺️
Could you please tell the length in centimeters
all info is in the blog post
Why did mine end up huge😂
Now you need a huge book 😜
hi! mine opened up as a fan, it was kind of curved, i will try with a bigger hook this time, could this be the problem? or should a try a smaller one instead?
I would try smaller hook and crochet a bit tighter if your tension is loose. Also blocking it firmly into a right angle helps.
i’m having the same issue, i’ve changed to both bigger and smaller hooks and i’ve tightened and loosened my stiches:( could i make my shells 4 DC rather than 5? bummer i love the look of your end product!
@@anastasiabrown4544 have you blocked it firmly?
I love the pattern but not sure the size of hook or yarn.
she replied to a comment saying it’s 3 mm
all the info is on the blog post linked in the description
wow
😊
Beautiful vintage looking lace pattern. However not a picot, you are just chaining loops.
Thanks. Here is a video teaching picot th-cam.com/video/MQmO74im2N0/w-d-xo.html
What size hook are you using?
The one in the video is 3 mm
You didn’t tell what kind of yarn or the size of the hook I will need? ??????
Please see the link in bio, all info is on the blog.

Your tension might be too loose, it also needs blocking firmly into 90 degree angle 😊
Thank you blue star it is splendid me is fella from Algeria good like.

@Blue Star Crochet - Veronika Cromwell Thank you
Ha ha, wait till you read Kristen Holloways patterns on her blog......😂. This is very well explained.
Tutorial is too fast, keep having to pause and go back. Also, not very descriptive in the beginning of the pattern, yarn or yarn substitutions.
I don’t drag out my tutorials with yarn and hook details, these can be found on my blog, specifically bluestarcrochet.com/crochet-corner-bookmark/ for this pattern
What size yarn are you using
I grabbed DK for the video tutorial but the original pattern uses 4-ply
