There's more of a sadness to this version. He lays his heart out. Yet, "let's make it last, let's find a way" adds hope. Another brilliant song by rock's best writer.
I met a guy in my late teens, we fell in love (😛😛) ...he was leaving for the military, so we took off for the weekend and played this song the whole weekend! Makes me cry ..my youth. If you’re young ENJOY IT! Don’t try to grow up to fast...you’ll never get it back!
Bob said this was his mothers favorite song that he wrote. There are 300 Bob Seger songs to explore. He had an amazing amount of songs that maybe weren't hits but still amazing.
This song makes me cry now because Glee did a beautiful version of this song that Corey Monteith sang before he died and I lost my childhood sweetheart about six weeks after...so I have many memories tied to this song now. Thank you for reacting to it though, it's a gorgeous song!!
"SHAME ON THE MOON" very underrated song.. He wrote the chorus on "Heartache Tonight" for Eagles they had lyrics but needed the chorus so what you do call Bob Seger
If your just getting started journeying down the Bob Seger road you should check out "Jodi girl." Night Moves is my favorite, but I love listening to his albums all the way through because all of his songs are great. I love what I call "smokey voices" like his Kenny Rogers', Stevie Nicks', Michael McDonald, Alannah Myles, Macy Gray, Joe Cocker, Pat Benatar (at times), Louis Armstrong, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Jon Bon Jovi, Guns and Roses, Soundgarden, Alice in Chains, Nirvana, etc.
I was about 6 when my dad bought this album when it came out. I listened to it so much on the huge console record player that was in the den. My dad said why don't you give Bob a rest. I asked why is Bob getting tired of singing? My dad rolled with it and said yes Bob is tired........that really stuck with me after I realized later that Bob really wasn't having to sing it every time I played it.....How dumb was I.? Wait don't answer that
Sheena Easton "My Baby Takes The Morning Train" 1981. This is one of my favorite Bob Seger songs. The Kenny Rogers/Dolly Parton live version is great too. Thanks for the reaction.
It's strange, once you know it's his song you realise why he sings it with such emotion. Best version by far. It happens to so many singer song writers, when someone has a hit with their song. Don't know if you know of Tony Joe White. He wrote "Steamy Windows" and Tina Turner has a hit with it. I prefer the Tony Joe White version on his album "Closer to the truth". The track "Closer to the truth " is well worth a review.
Hello again I have commented here a couple of times and as usual I have a suggestion. You should try finding new concert footage of Bob. I did quite a few concerts from the 80's all the way to his current shows. and although he may be in his 70's he still put on a hell of a show. He has adjusted a little but still is the best artist I have known and up till last year still rocked his concerts.you don't have to react but you may enjoy seeing old bob after listening to young Bob.
Bob wrote the majority of his songs. Please check out “Feel like a number” “Trying to live my life without you” and one of his last singles...”Wait for me”. In the last one you will see how timeless his voice is. Saw his last tour and the man had been on the road for 50 years
The fact that a lot of country fans never listened to rock allowed many country singers to cover and have hits with songs from rock and roll writers. It has also happened the other way but not as often. Of course the writers had no problem as the royalties were just as good.
Seger could sing the dictionary and make it sound good - lol. You still need to listen to the live version of "Travelin' Man/Beautiful Loser" . th-cam.com/video/96PiX9tnMwE/w-d-xo.html
hi. just subscribed to ur channel. bob seger's version is just so romantic...the best!!! please, please, please...check out the band survivor. they have great hits!!! the search is over, high on you, etc. think you'll enjoy it very much! :)
There aren't versions to me, the original is always the best, any monkey can remake a song, the genius of it has already been created. Very few remakes transform a song so I give very little credence to remakes. I cringe when people compare "The Sound of Silence" remakes to the original.
Jeff Healey also has a beautiful rendition of this song, but nothing tops Bob's version. th-cam.com/video/MLqZSfqP7VE/w-d-xo.html Next, I think you would really enjoy Katmandu from the Live Bullet album. th-cam.com/video/SwmZAdwnf54/w-d-xo.html
Absolutely love this song! Bob Seger is definitely one of the greats. Please react to Marc Broussard "Cry To Me". I know you'll love it. th-cam.com/video/hoJQQuseZ7g/w-d-xo.html
You're new to me....Are You Scottish? Bob has a list...Turn The Page....Main Street...Ramblin Gambling Man.. Traveling Man and Beautiful Loser....awesomely
Hi Mary. The Scottish flag kinda confused me too. This young man is coming to us from Australia. I love his sweet, gentle manners and genuine emotions. Very cool. 🥰
A very talented man. One of the greatest of of my time. And the voice.
He is astounding….this is from his heart.
There's more of a sadness to this version. He lays his heart out. Yet, "let's make it last, let's find a way" adds hope. Another brilliant song by rock's best writer.
Only Bob Seger could make a one night stand seem so beautiful. I heard this was Bob's mothers favorite song.
The original and by far the best!
Rock Hall of Fame twice - as a writer and performer.

What a genious of a singer!! Just superb! Glad to know that is his origanal song. xx
Such a beautiful song 🎶. I seriously listen to this on repeat and never get tired of it!
Bob has a one of a kind voice that expresses emotion. Amazing talent,
I am so glad you are enjoying Bob Seger. He is absolutely one of my favorites.
Another great song from Seger
one of my favorite songs, ever. I had no idea that Bob Seger wrote this. Crazy. Great great song
How the years have flown.
I don't know why anyone would try to cover a Seger song. No way anyone will ever do it better than him.
I think its a tremendous show of respect to try to cover a great song. no problem with it.
Bob said this was his mothers favorite song that he wrote. There are 300 Bob Seger songs to explore. He had an amazing amount of songs that maybe weren't hits but still amazing.
they were hits in detroit
They were hits in my life...
Segar also wrote the Eagles song Heartache Tonight. So very talented
We all grew up with this in and around Detroit
Have to say Bob was the instrument that set the mood for great memories in my youth.
My 40 years favorite...
Not one song i dont like.😍

Boy Patrol could see so much emotion in your face I love your channel bob sings real life been there done that back in the day
This song makes me cry now because Glee did a beautiful version of this song that Corey Monteith sang before he died and I lost my childhood sweetheart about six weeks after...so I have many memories tied to this song now. Thank you for reacting to it though, it's a gorgeous song!!

O comentário brasileiro que vc estava procurando 😉😉😉 música pura nostalgia saudades dos anos 90 e daquele amor de adolescente
Bob wrote this. His version is the original big hit. He said it was his mom's favorite song of his.

Great Seger! A softer side of the ramblin' , gamblin' man~👍
Sheena Easton "My Baby Takes The Morning Train" 1981.
This is one of my favorite Bob Seger songs. The Kenny Rogers/Dolly Parton live version is great too.
Thanks for the reaction.
He's one of the best songwriters in the business. Give "Come To Papa" or "Sunspot Baby" a listen.
Both great songs😍
Bob wrote it!!
Check out Bob Seger Shame on the Moon
Love that song

"Polk Salad Annie" is another good one from TJW.
@@davewilson435 Tony Joe wrote Rainy Night in Georgia too.
.
He’s definitely the GOAT. He does a duet with Martina McBride, CHANCES ARE. You might enjoy that one too. It showcases his softer side, too.
Great song!

Also covered by Ronan Keating, the former member of Boyzone. He sang it with LuLu.
Kenny Rogers is the poor mans Bob Seger
This entire album is incredible. Not a bad track on there. Please try Till It Shines, Still The Same or Brave Strangers.
I’d stay. Don’t need to ask me twice! 😊

The transition is a killer.
Bob Seger's version is the real deal. His singing has soul that Kenny Rogers' voice doesn't have.
So true
Lmao

I couldn’t agree more! Especially regarding “Sound of Silence”!
The Famous Final Scene.....
Bob Seger's 'Beautiful Loser' or 'Khatmandu'.
Travelin man/beautiful loser from live bullet. I don't understand why no reactor has not covered it. It is great.
You should try some of his more rockin and earlier songs that were hits in the Detroit area like Eastside story, Heavy music, 2 + 2 .
I like Kenny but come on... Bob is the master.
OOOHHHHYES
Jeff Healey also has a beautiful rendition of this song, but nothing tops Bob's version. th-cam.com/video/MLqZSfqP7VE/w-d-xo.html
Next, I think you would really enjoy Katmandu from the Live Bullet album.

Sheena Easton did a Bond theme.
Sheena was Morning Train
Try the rolling stones till the next time we say goodbye
Morning Train?

Still the Same? Next? Please?
Tim McGraw Faith Hill version is noteworthy.
How can this clown even comment on the great Bob Seger
