He had so many great songs especially in the 70's-80's such as "Ramblin' Gamblin' Man", "Night Moves", "Turn The Page", "Mainstreet", "Still The Same", "Hollywood Nights", "Against The Wind", "You'll Accomp'ny Me", "Shame On The Moon", "Roll Me Away", "Like A Rock", "Shakedown", "We've Got Tonight" & "Old Time Rock & Roll".
A lot of people take this as a one night stand thing. I've never taken it that way. This reminds me of drifting back to an old lover you've just run across by chance or a chance meet up at a party. I do love them all, but "Like a Rock" hits me in a lot of places. Looking back on a fine, but lost youth, and the sublime guitar work fits it so perfectly. This song stands out to me like few others, by any artist. I would love to hear what you think of Like a Rock.

My hubby was born in Dearborn Heights in 1960. He felt the same way. Every time I hear Segar, I remember how much John loved him.
