This is extremely relevant to the next portfolio piece I'm working on; really glad I stumbled on to it! There's some really great stuff here, thanks for the tips!
This is exactly what I was looking for! I once bought some assets for small money and don't feel sattisfied with em. Now I can create every ancient temple I ever wanted. Thanku so much.
Changing the Input Coordinates in the PBR Material from UV to Object and setting the Material to Box with 0.5 Blending will create a fast smart Material that acts procedural and does not even need unwrapping. 😊
You might want to mention apply transformation at some point so the model can be used as an asset after it crumbles, you know if one actually want's to use the model.
this is freakin awesome man. honestly, i couldn't figure out a good way to make some ancient ruins ( i was looking onling to purchase some but none i could find had the look i wanted ) so i decided to make my own, but couldnt think of a good method..until this video . thank you so much :)
For the Windows users: Materialize is a neat little tool you can download for free. Basically, you can take any image and automatically generate all your texture maps (height, normals, etc.) Combined with techniques for tiling images you can make some nice materials quickly with little effort. It's no substance designer, but I think you'd be pleasantly surprised.
interesting way to make ornaments, i never thought of doing it like that...Also my sim for destruction makes the entire thing explode rather than crumble to the floor. i followed all the steps nd tried multiple times still same result.
Made a render of an underground temple with sunlight coming in through holes in the roof... feedback I got was it looked too uniform and clean. So this tutorial was absolutely perfect. Going to go back to that and cell fracture it.
Wow, this tutorial couldn't have come out at a better time. I've only been using blender for a couple weeks making a scene that I'm 3d printing. And what's the main setting of my diorama? Crumbly ruins :P haha. I've been approaching it in a very similar way, but being an ultra noob I learned a lot from your workflow. Enough that's it's worth scrapping the last couple weeks of work and starting over because I'll probably get better results in a few hours. Thanks a bunch.
thanks a lot for your tutorial , its so hard to learn 3D because most all of them just making paid tutorial and as student i cant afford that money and dont have credit card to pay thanks a lot man, i love you so much biggg thanksssss, i hope youu keep making tutorial like this in future :DDD
Love your workflow! Incredible stuff! Thank you.... My only suggestion is to slow your narration down a bit... not sure if you intentionally speed up your voice, but it feels very very fast. No biggie, but just a suggestion : )
oh my god, this channel is SO F...NG UNDERESTIMATED! You are the best!!! And I really like your approach (making cool nice pictures not lowpoly for games is my life-goal) so many thaaaaaaaaaanksssssss wish you all luck and inspiration, would love yo be your apprentice in real life
I found this beautiful tutorial a moment ago. It is very nice to see your work flow . Same with all the other tutorials. They are very well explained. But I ran into something that i don't understand. maybe it is not possible or i do it wrong 🙂. My point : If you broke the pillar .. I tried to convert it into a mesh ( part of the pillar and the broken pieces ) so that everything stays the same all the time. I joined the pieces convert it into a mesh and then everything when wrong. The position is off and it is rotated in the most non logical way. I tried again after joining them and apply al the transform of pieces. Again it rotated and moved. When i tried to rotate the model it kept popping back to the position it as after the convert to mesh . I don't get it ( maybe i need more coffee 🤣😂) What am i doing wrong... or is it not possible at all to change it into a combinet mesh ? Strange thing is that the mesh does scale and does not pop back to the original Any ideas that may help ? Thank you again for posting this 👍 i love it
He appears to be in Eevee the whole time but I can't seem to replicate the quality of the lighting. I can replicate the shadow quality in Cycles but not Eeevee. Anyone have any suggestions?
What tools u using for modelling that pillar in edit mode ? I used the same tool you selected but it not does the job like you easily move and scale things !
As a beginner this is gold for me.
Welcome to the party
not gold it is diamond
Loved everything about this from the humorous narration to the tips. This is gold.
This is perfect. Build large, simple to small, detailed. Then add your grunge and cracks and gravity topples. Imma going to try this out.
Your channel is already one of my favorites, very good!

This is an amazing way to create those ancient-looking pillars! Wow, never thought of it this way! Thanks a lot! :)
You are everywhere 😂👌

@@ZeusCreates same here 😂👍
@@kewa_design Yep you’re right 😂

Dude...your videos are SO GOOD!!! Literally some of the best 3d-process content on youtube. Please keep making videos, your channel is gonna be huge.
i think you can get slightly better results by going on object, ridged body > calculate mass and choose concrete when using the cell fracture
You might want to mention apply transformation at some point so the model can be used as an asset after it crumbles, you know if one actually want's to use the model.
This vid has such a chaotic vibe and I love it
