Can anyone explain how it could be a Pro model without a Pro chip? It is essentially a MacBook Air with 120hz refresh rate and support for HDR content.
@@alexandrumarina2527 it's not battery, screen, ports and fan that makes a model Pro. It's the CPU. Here, M4 chip has only 10 core CPU, out of which only 4 are performance cores. This is the same as in Air model. A regular pro model has at least double the number of performance cores in its base model, that is, 12 core CPU with 8 performance cores. Moreover, they have incorporated a single fan to dissipate the heat, which makes this model worse as a single fan has to move faster that makes a lot of noise during heavy work load (regular pro models have 2 fans). So, it's a marketing gimmick to sell their lowest tier model with a label of pro. If anyone wants a machine with exactly the same performance, it's better to wait for MacBook Air M4 instead of spending a lot of money on a false Pro model.
The base M4 beats Intel and AMD "pro" ultrabooks" by a distance, so if you say it isn't pro, most Windows ultrabooks are not either. The majority of semi-pros can easily use the base M4, but the M4 Pro/< axe is for those needing even greater performance.

Better everthyng .battery ,screen,120 hz,camera ,ports etc 😊
@@alexandrumarina2527 and a fan to sustain the heavy workload. The M4 chip is a beast honestly!

And air is just a binned down pro, everything is apples play to make more money.
Currently using the device. While powerful and aesthetically pleasing, it hurts to type on after a while and it is very heavy compared to the Air.
Why macbook pro series doesn't come with 15-inch optional size and only available on macbook air?
Love my new MacBook 14 “ M4 ❤ Space Black 😊
4.2" display.....umm... it's a lot bigger than that... maybe you meant 14.2"?
Yep, it’s a typo 🙃
