It's a shame that they are doing this badge engineering versions which I hate! Toyota cars like Forunner TRD and Avalon are much better than these Toyota Maruti cars!
@Shreesha P Hebbar Toyota has so much potential to become a big player in the Indian market and yet they can't solve this problem. Their Corolla is still a great success in the world except India. Same with Camry too.

If maruti rebadged Toyota fortuner or Innova crysta in future then we can't predict what is going to happen in automotive market
I will sell my crysta if that happens, I will permanently shift from Toyota. Would be a shame after killing off their Altis sedan, worst decision.
A minute of silence for those who think Suzuki cars are unreliable... We owned a Maruti car for 15 years and yes!! Not even a single problem has crept up till date!!! And now we own the Vitara brezza with 70k mileage on that.. and still runs like a charm!! The diesel engine (1.3L ddis) is sooo reliable!!! Ok I agree that the quality isn't that good... But reliability wise.. it's no less than a Toyota... I have been in some swift dzire cabs with almost 250k mileage on that..

Toyota has stakes with all the smaller japanese companies like Suzuki, Mazda, Daihastu, Subaru etc. Its strength is in manufacturing large cars and SUV's and it relies on these partners to sell rebadged small cars and sporty cars which are not its forte.

Toyota just uses suzuki large manufacturing capacity. Its ultimately the sales volume and revenue.
Simply for consumer behaviourally tactics, badging same product under different brands period.
They didn't marketed Yaris at all... As if they accepted it's not gonna work in India. Yaris sells like City in Southeast Asia... They have a good product but never marketed it.
And Facelift Yaris can work well but marketing marketing marketing
