It's funny, whenever you find a comment you don't like, you automatically pin them so your subscribers can jump all over them. Seems childish to me. I've watched every video you've put out and have bought multiple things from you. And I've seen you sic you're little wanna be die hard fans on multiple people who voiced their opinion or gave criticism. Pin this one too, I really don't care. You were much more enjoyable to watch when you didn't talk for 80% of your videos. I'd be curious to see the analytic % of how many people watched the entire 2.5 hours.

Hey, I realize that this is 2 months late, but I only just watched your video (which I thoroughly enjoyed, BTW, as I own a very original '68 C20 myself). I picked up on something that was the source of the braking issues on the C20.
The part that was on the truck at the beginning was not a proportioning valve, as you identified it, but in fact a distribution block. This block was used on all-drum brake GM vehicles and it has only two functions: to send brake fluid to the correct end of the vehicle and to activate a switch to illuminate the brake warning light in the dash when it senses a loss in pressure from either the front or rear brakes. That's it. By removing this block, all you have accomplished is to lose the function of the brake warning light.
The part you removed from your square-body parts truck is a proportioning valve (sometimes called a combination valve, because it has three functions). The proportioning valve acts a distribution valve; it acts to proportion higher brake pressure to the front disc brakes; and, it delays application of pressure to the front discs until the rear drum shoes take up the distance from their relaxed to applied position.
Perhaps I missed it, but I did not see you install that proportioning valve after you removed the old distribution block. This would explain the less-than-ideal brake effectiveness of that truck. Hope this helps. Keep up the great videos!

I kept having issues with my brakes on my 71 Cheyenne. Turns out the back shoes were totally out of adjustment. Oh, and the shop that did them also installed the shoes on backwards. Getting them adjusted made a huge world of a difference.

Was creeping forwards and I did not even realize it. The gal ahead of me didn't even get out. (Maybe she thought it was intentional, by a creep) she took off. Lol. 😂

Yes, pedal-to-floor experiences are good for rapid weight loss, less good for the laundry.

I have one of those through ratchet sets. Mine is O-Ratchet, I think they were the original manufacturer of them.

Hey thanks Mortske for the 12 pack sized video!! Took me a while to finish it, unlike the beer!! Hope Florida man gets there, though don't know why anyone would want to move to Florida!!

I wore out my Dad’s copy of the Car spotters guide as a kid. We had to trim all the pages and put it into a 3-ring binder.

    I daily a 68 c10 CST
Was a 4 barrel 327 with truck heads. Motor smoked so bad Marlboro could endorse it lol. Put on a 84 350 that only had 50k on her. Still has the stock 3 on the tree. My dad had a 69 c30 named "One ton." Last motor she had was a big ol 454. Love these 67-72s!

Vacuum booster hooked up correct? Its a nice truck that needs work. Rippin on it, thats the fun part. 1-1/6 master might work better. Brent and Esther are good people,i have visited them a couple times. I was lucky enough to join the metal shrinking class when Karl Fisher came out from BC. Another good guy.
Booster test, 4 or 5 pumps with engine off, hold pedal down and start engine. Pedal should drop..

That valve does prevent the rear brakes from locking up by limiting fluid and pressure to rear brakes, causing a skid, like a semi-trailer does when it jackknifes. They have a "jake brake" to prevent that from happening

True and unlike the town and country mopar minivan the small utv you are using the cup holders don't just fall off the dash lol, like almost every mid 90's and newer mopar lol

Deutch connectors are easy. Pry the orange retainer out with a knife edge and the pins with a small Mortske magnetic screwdriver.

My 92 silverado with a flowmaster 10 single in dual out no cat stock manifolds is maybe 2 percent louder inside of drone and is screaming outside I love It honestly for a truck mine has a 350 not much power but it has more punch it burns the 35s I have from a stop when I had a magnaflow it was lazy and quiet I thought it was worse than stock..
