Nice one boys. I'm loving the ski mountaineering series. Dave is next level, a class act teacher for sure. Great to see him again on the videos. Cheers.
I thought for a second Dave was about to call it a BFK when he tied the knot. Not sure if he just caught himself in time or if that's not such a universal term for that sort of knot.
Sorry for missing that important part. Every topic touched upon in this video deserves its own video series to be honest. Maybe we can make that in the future :)
Great vid. Just curious, would it not be best to tie ends of rope into a carabiner? So you if you need to I. An emergency you don’t have to untie a figure 8, which may be in tension. As also a yachtsman, your tether always has a carabiner both ends.
love the vids, im learning a lot from your tutorials as i am a beginner. I have no idea why i am watching this as it is not relevant to me in the slightest. I think your guys' accents are so cool, can you do a video in your original language?
@@theseb1979 ah, rough head math. Regardless, you get the point. The "collectible" mountains here are anything 14k ft + (4267 m). I always just think it's interesting to consider what your current elevation is like elsewhere. In CO we have a few resorts w lift access over 13k.
Like your videos. Quite informative, thank you. Please consider no exotic food. Quite bad for the environment and nature… what you on the other hand obviously love. 💕.. Get to the local food market and get some winter apples or other dry food. This supports the local people and helps reduce your environmental footprint. Thank you! Cheers
Thanks for the kind words and constructive feedback. I think about such things too. The one thing your comment made me think was. What is the sum total good/bad who needs the money more the Ecological farmer some where by the equator or a French apple farmer? I just don’t know how to ever balance ⚖️social good and environmental good / bad. Have a good one 😀

Glad you enjoyed it :) I am hope to do some more adventure with him in spring again :)
You and dave are a sick combo
Thank you and I really enjoy every time me and Dave spent some time in the mountains.
Cheers Jonah!
As always…great video. Enjoyable with all the teaching bits…and mangos too.
I did a ski tour today and ate some mango on top again and it was great 😊 👍
The final part of the climb looked amazing. This rock formation is so cool! Thank you for the great content as always
It really was breathtakingly beautiful and exposed for a few meters with about a 1000m drop behind the heel of my boots.
Great video! Mangos are always a good choice. Except when you eat too many and can’t find a toilet. 😋
That didn't happen but I will have that in mind for the future cause that would have been really inconvenient up there.
enjoy following your content. nice to see the development from park to freeride to ski mountaineering.
hell yeah, sick to see a collab with Dave
Brb gonna go climb Mt. Everest real quick
Great video as always!
Gnarly vid Jens
🙏
Yup! Putting this on my bucket list!
THIS is awesome content! Loved it, cheers all involved 👍 👏
Thank you very much / Jens 😀
Superb! #EarnedYourTurns! 😊

Thank you :) I hope todo so. But first I gotta do some butters and snow plow turns :)
A great video as usual!
🙏

😂 I nearly did...
Gorgeous video !Cheers
Video is super helpful, thank you!
Very very good Video🙌🏼 thanks man!
I buy the exact same mango pack... My favourite skitouring food ;) very nice video.
Nice video. I learned a lot. Thanks!
Glad it was helpful!
Nice video Dave / Stomp It!
Im glad you enjoyed it :) You seem to have a cool. Maybe we´ll have to do Mont Blanc next? ;)
Thanks!
@@StompItTutorials With pleasure. Dave can guide it and I'll just ski around filming you with my drone!
I wish you had talked about line selection on the decent. What were the risk mitigation techniques used for skiing a glacier?

WE'll just have to do another one Jens...

Hey Jens. Just wanted to ask, if you could have just rappaled down from the very summit instead of taking the long way "climbing"?
Ladder was kind disappointing, that section looked very climbable. Awesome video though!
Surely should you have a leash on the ice axe?

4000m is how high our lift goes here at Loveland in CO.
Lucky you! I’ll go for higher another time.
@@StompItTutorials definitely can feel the lack of air when touring around here
The lift in Loveland only goes to 3914m.

What gear did you use?
Love how your always pushing your skill set on the mountain 🏔 👍
Thank you. Learning is exciting.
You filmed it this season or last?
I think it was june 10th we got to the summit :)
Is it just me or is Jens kinda daddy

If you don't and can't tele, you shouldn't teach mountaineering or anything for that matter
What is tele? Telemark?
Nobody skis tele anymore
