    I'm Brazilian, I work with carpentry, bricklayer, hydraulics, and I'm a barber I want to leave Brazil, go to the USA, but the visa is difficult, so if I get hired with a work visa, I'm married 49 years old, and very creative, I don't care how I go to work, cleaning, doorman, sealer, anything I do do, thanks and a hug.

    I still can’t understand what people say even though I’ve been studying for 6 years now and I’ve visited Brasil 17 times. I study every day and I practice every day with my girlfriend who only speaks Portuguese I’ve been practicing with her for 3 years now. I have to translate almost everything into English to understand. How can I learn to converse? I watch movies and videos and have classes and read books. Thanks

    • @clintfalk
      @clintfalk 6 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Why? You can't expect the Brazilians to slow down when they speak. So you better learn how to understand it before you get there.

    This is not real Portuguese ! This is Brazilian Portuguese which is very different from Portuguese . I would say it's something like English creole . English creole is not real English ! Right ?

    • @wemersonaraujo5738
      @wemersonaraujo5738 6 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      US English is not original either.

    • @maybewise
      @maybewise 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It's just "Creole". And Creole is closer to French than it is to English. Creole's a language; not just an accent. Nobody who only speaks English, can understand Creole. But European Portuguese speakers can understand Brazilian Portuguese, right?... So that's a false equivalency. I'd say it's more like American English, compared to European, and Australian.

    • @maybewise
      @maybewise 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @YLR Entertainment No. It's also a language people here in Louisiana speak.

    • @AnarchoPinkoEuroBr
      @AnarchoPinkoEuroBr 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@maybewise there are several different types of Creole across the world and some of them are based on English, Spanish, Portuguese, Malay, Hindi or Arabic instead of French.
