Good ol' Final Fantasy. Teaching you to cure depression in animals by *checks notes* beating them.
"We gotta save Suzaku"
"How?"
"By beating the crap out of her"
"Ouchie ouch"
They will be too busy feeling the pain to feel sad.
@@anthonyfernandez4822 *Okay, I believe you!*

Gets yeeted into his death.
Can we just give some props to Suzaku's VA as well? My heart breaks every time I hear her lines.
Mood and I had to force myself not to cry when I ran EX with my raid group last week cause I was solo healer 😳 lol
Late comment, but fun fact: She's Krile's JP VA.
Yoshino Nanjo if anyone is wondering
Cue Eli Ayase playing FF14 and contributing songs at the game
Well played, Elicchi...
The first few times: I can relate to your feelings.
After farming for her doggo? She stays muted from start to finish!
The singer is also Krile's Japanese voice actress.
and Lyna
@@cynicalmanatee And most famously as Eli Ayase from Love Live.
I will add this to my headcannon of characters that secretly can sing real good, like Raubahn
She's Kiria in Tokyo Mirage Session #FE & Citra in Final Fantasy Brave Exvius (for her CG Limit Burst)
Damn she has a deep voice then
Really sad story, and here the lyrics are telling it over again :c
Stormblood had a lot of sad stories in it now that I think about it
I'm really digging how the English lyrics also sync up with the music.
I actually sang it to the English lyrics. There are only two wonky parts.
* In the second line the sang line actually ends on "love eternal", with "you and I" remaining unsung unless you dramatically alter the pace of your singing.
* At "crimson sorrow, endless, boundless" wthe syllables break up rather awkwardly. With the pause in the middle of the line it's something like "crimson sorrow, end- (pause) - less, boundless" unless you draw out "sorrow" and then cram "endless, boundless" into three syllables. Edit: Or just draw out "sorrow", draw out "endless" a bit and ignore "boundless".
@@Priscabc Yeah you'd have to do some fiddling since it's not exactly 1 to 1 in a few places. But I'm sure someone could make it work.
@@ArtForSwans I do make it work. I prefer the English lyrics to the Japanese one and sing it all time.
It's the same with Wayward Daughter and Amatsu Kaze too. I've been able to sing Wayward and Sunrise in English, though Amatsu is a challenge but I'm sure it can be done
I always thought that part was just old japanese language that hard to understand like Byakko ost while doin' the savage on the first week. lol
I always misheard the "Yea, if here I find my end" part as "Te... no hira sadame.... (roughly: the destiny on your palm of hand)"
The story behind this, the relation between tenzen and suzaku plus this theme song really make me wanna cry.
It's even worse because of the fact that even if he hadn't been killed, he still wouldn't have lived to see her gain her Human form.
They could never have really been together in his lifetime.
Also there’s the fact that her human form is bloody massive. There relationship was doom form the start! XD
@@alexisrios4991 I like to think that the massive sizes of some bosses is just for gameplay sake, and most are pretty much standar size.
'hearken to my melody'
Also i love how this track uses parts of both Seiryu's and Byakko's second phase themes
This came before Seiryu.
@@DarthSanguine ik, but part of it sounds like it's out of Seiryu's, but in parts it does sound like it uses part of Amatsu Kaze
@@OmegaYoshi13that's the Aramitama leitmotif, first established in Amatsu Kaze and carrying over through the rest of the Four Lords trials
I really like how they use old japanese for the lyrics (like english has 'old english')
That single flute trill at 1:47 is everything.
I love how the melody draws out and accentuates the exotic words. It's a delight to sing.
Me, first time listening to this song: “Aw, yeah what a bop. I gotta know the lyrics”
Me, after reading the lyrics: “Now I’m just sad”
This fight made me feel like I was intruding on something deeply personal. An excellent fight, but I didn't like feeling intrusive.
Hey it's alright, it's not intrusive since in a way you're *TECHNICALLY* the person she's singing about! ;v
@@adriannarafel5225 no the WoL is not a reincarnation of tenzen
@@imtired927 So all the characters telling you that your soul looks like his, you being mistaken for him, characters literally seeing him in you and everyone saying how you feel like him. Is just a bunch of signals that you're *not* a reincarnation down the line of Tenzen? That doesn't sound right at all.
Especially with explanations given in Shadowbringers and Endwalker. I think it's pretty safe to assume that he was a version of you at one point in time. It's extremely obvious. :v
Late comment, but you intruded because it was necessary and the right thing to do. A long due intervention if you will, to keep her from spiraling even further than she already had. And she thanks the WoL for it afterwards, if I remember correctly
@@adriannarafel5225While this theory seems solid, until the end of this story, Tenzen's soul serves as a seal to that big serpent thing. How do you reincarnate from that ? It's a bit stretched but I assume at some point two fragments of the Fourteenth found themselves on the Source, one of them being Tenzen
This goes quite hard for a love song.
It's insane how much this sounds like it come from the band Sound Horizon. This is one of my favorite tracks from Stormblood because of that.
Best theme of the four lords bar none.
Listening to the music while eating spicy kfc feels wrong 😂
pure evil😭
As much I love the melancholic voice in 3:18
is it amazing how she pull 3 syllables out of thin air.
" *sen[n]nen[n][nn]* no, akatoki koi kouya sugite "
yeah that part always trips me up when singing alone, but it's soooo good.
to add, it's actually not 3 but 4 syllables! sennen (sen = thousand, nen = years) -> se/n/ne/n is how she sings it
Japanese actually treats the final -n as its own syllable, so se-n-ne-n. It's pretty common to hear it in music.
Been surfing your channel for a few hours because I been in a FFXIV music mood (and love learning lyrics to songs I did or didn't know had any) and clicked here...
Genuinely forgot how incredibly beautiful 1:20-2:01 was. Not just the lyrics, but how utterly perfect the music syncs with it. FFXIV has always been excellent about conveying the thoughts and feelings of whoever and whatever they asign music to, but this one is next level; especially considering it came out way back in Stormblood. Beautiful. That is all I can really say about that part. Beautiful.
you are a legend for doing this for these songs dude
This fight is pure art
Just recently did this trial for the first time and was blown away by the music. Beside the Nier raid music this is the only time I put my music to max volume
Man I hope Tenzen comes back to her someday.
The wol is tenzen reincrnat.

Came here after getting addicted to riding the Euphonious Kamuy just to listen to the ride music
Stormblood's trials are all so good, the Four Lords especially
1:20 I'm sorry, but I just don't understand how some people could say this sound bad... t_t
YES! YES! YES! YES! YES! YES! YES!
Great song.
For a Japanese game, I'm surprised at the seriously low amount of Japanese songs in it. Wish there were more.
Japanese game =/= Japanese music.
@@ReesesBees In this singular case, sure.
Because the overall game is mostly based on western themes. From pirates, gladiators and forest "elves". Garlean is basically one big western army with weaponry that the other nations don't even have. It's only stormblood that introduces us back to Japanese lore and culture. Also you notice all of their trailers are in English with Japanese subs
that was the best ex trial to ever farm, never got old to rescue people into the hole during draw -in mechanics, making them doubt themselves or curse the game. Im glad I needed 99 totems kills for that mount!
So what do you hear
Honor blind me unto errant kin or
For Honor.......Blind me unto errant kin
OH MY GOD ELI AYASE HOW HAVE I NOT HEARD THIS SORRY NANJO
0:31 There is a mistake on the lyric, it should be
"koi kou hana" instead of "koi kou agakimi yo"
Wait really? Istg I can hear the background lyrics vocals complete the "kimi yo" while the lead vocalist starts the "aga-"
I cant hear the background voice for some reason, and I heard the main singer sang the last syllable as "na" instead of "ga" T_T
@@michaellevin64 that's really weird cuz I'm still hearing it xD Like with headphones in, you don't hear the "kimi yo" that's very faint? I think the other lyrics online show this is right tbh, but idk.
@@TheKuroArisu Nope, I can't hear it
I should be able to hear it because the main singer should sing on vowel sound 'a' and the background voice sings on vowel sound 'i' and then 'o', right? (aga-kimi yo)
I compared it with the other verse ended with agakimi and both still sound different to me
@@michaellevin64 Then I have no idea what to say tbh. Maybe I'm the one hearing things, and my mind is supplementing the lyrics in my head. But istg I still here it. Eh, idk. Even if the lyrics are wrong here, I'm still enjoying the song haha.
So tenzen was iroha's dad in ffxi, and iroha was phoenix's summoner. Yikes.
Phoenix and Suzaku are two different entities, if anything that connection is probably just a reference
FF barely has any Japanese lyrics in their games this was a breath of fresh of air
I know this is late but does anyone else think that suzaku looks like trance kuja?
absolutely
tenzen pls
Everybody vibing during trial until they accidently slip and fell
what's your 3rd Person Camera angle set to?

The second line is wrong
can't say I really like the male vocals being brought to the front like that (it sounds weird), but I suppose you could barely hear them before
nodot17 sorry but what kinda deaf ass ears do you have. He didn’t bring anything to the front really, maybe made it slightly louder but you can still hear it in the original piece/fight too lol. By slightly i mean literally like half of one volume tick louder. If you put them side by side you don’t hear a difference :|
@@LadyPari really there's no difference at all? you sure we listening to the same song? Cause from were I sitting it a big difference
@@nodot17 Yes because after i read your comment, i pulled up the song from the fight but by a different youtuber. I played them one at a time then together and there's really no difference in the male parts interjecting for transition.
@@LadyPari The audio for the male parts IS different, you're wrong, he's right.
The male vocals are supposed to be Tenzen last words for Suzaku. I am not surprised it was brought in front like that when you know how important he his for her.
man the romaji lyrics aren't even close on some of these lines, you don't even have to know the language to see it doesn't match up
When the lyrics and storyline hit too hard.. Ahaaaaa..
