You should get your oil pressure sendor located at the back of the block up high between the intake manifold and trans mounts. Or alternatively directly from the side of the oil filter housing.
there's no oil port in the traditional location at the rear of the intake, like on a small block and the plug thats located near the oil filter housing aint goin anywhere....ive tried. I have a plan that I may get around to someday. in the mean time I have the old mechanical gauge to look at.
Man im having hell hooking mine up to a 1990 v1500 suburban. Cant find a proper wire diagram to save my life and since its a 90 squarebody suburban its that weird cross between the new stuff and old stuff
My 76 GMC oil pressure sending unit was back next to distributor. Old one came out easy enough. Now I'm gonna scream trying to thread new one in.....old line won't thread either. Pain where it is with throttle cable. Kick down. Etc. I gave up but will try again tomorrow. Getting too old to be crawling around in engine compartment.
How do the blinkers hook up I just ordered the same gauges but this is my first wiring harness install and the original way of hooking it up ran through the circuit board do you see the blinker lights working in the dash?
@@devotedanaheim1575 I think I should've saved a bit and got the analog type gauges with the gps speedo. less fatigue on the eyes. other than that the gauges work fine.

The lesson wasn't learned very well! LOL The weight of the sender, T and oil will snap that long brass piece off. especially being a Big Block.

old big blocks don't have a boss threaded in the oil galley at the distributor. I would've preferred it there.
