Peter Obi is absolutely correct. We need a completely different mindset. Many Christians have been made to believe they can pray their way out of idleness and laziness and suddenly become wealthy.

Obi is ignorant…. He should go turn night clubs to night shift ……. those dancing naked and drinking can continue those praying should stop ….. Instead of government to do its work (they stole money for infrastructure) and blame the church ……

I have been a pastor in the U.S since 2008. I don't take salary from the church. I don't collect prophet offering or seed faith. You know how that is possible?

I still have time to pray and study my Bible.

@@GgaskiaAtanever said or implied that I was the only one doing that.

And you still have time to pray and study the scriptures??
Please don't just follow hypes and trends ...😮 let's be more truthful

That's not what he meant. It's useless going to church daily for miracle when there's work to be done to earn a living. The British who brought Christianity to you hardly have any form of night vigil. It's only in Africa churches here in UK. Yet our continent is not developed. The Pastors are just using us to make money period. The sooner we realise the better.

@chiomaodinachi1663 I made this comment to my dad, he said I'm becoming analytic. I don't know if my dad doesn't like to hear the truth from me because when I let him know that I almost quit the job he gave me because of church, he said it's not the same thing 😂😂😂. The reason why I'm pissed at the mega churches is because my entire life was wrapped inside the church, not God but my pastor and I know that most members are more about pastor than Jesus, if we were looking at Jesus we wouldn't be dreaming of becoming millionaires to the point of depression. We dream of becoming rich because Papa is rich but the secret to becoming rich is soul winning and kingdom prayers, then God will put you on payroll 😂😂😂. You should evangelize and pray for the church and ministries but that's not to make us rich. We should be learning to make money and striving to become employers of labor so we can help other brethren and then have job flexibility for night vigil. A poor man shouldn't be spending so much time in church, go out and work so you can come back with something, at least offering will be available

Peter Obi's comment in my opinion has been taken out of context. He has not really said anything wrong. If we had a working economy, majority of us Christians would have had the opportunity of balancing our work life with our service to the Lord. Is it not for the betterment of this country, increase in all our human endeavour and service to God that we go to church? For God's sake, Peter Obi spoke as an Economist and of course what could he have used as an example? Is he a Muslim? No.
Abroad, shifts are done round the clock to sustain development growth, morning shifts afternoon shifts, evening shifts, night shifts, work from home, (all of these flexi-working times). If such existed in our country of which this same Jehovah God Almighty has blessed with abundant resources (human and material) then as Christians we would have been able to balance both our working and personal life perfectly which would have been a good thing. Please some countries that had independence same time with Nigeria have they not forged ahead in terms of development? Na wa ooo

Peter obi's father started a whole empire,
His entire family is full of billionaires!!!
    All of them!!!
He's a more Christian that bunch of our G.O.
Night Virgil is good, I used them while I was in Lagos, Benin city and owerri.
But the way we are doing it in Nigeria is madness.
Muslims have the same problems in Nigeria as well, but at least they pray everywhere and keep it moving, they move around with their cows etc,
5 churches in one building is pure MADNESS!!!
here in Atlanta, night Virgil's happen during specific times, Christmas night, new years eve, Easter Eve, maybe another 5 night Virgils in the entire year and that's it.
The point is, prayer is very important, but work is TOO important also, prayer without work is a complete waste of everyone's time.

Obi's government would create job, make available incentives and enabling environment for industries to be planted and grow. A Christian can still work during the day and go to night vigil if he wants and if his work schedule allows it.I agree that for the country to be productive, work should be done day and night as it is done abroad.

Dr, I appreciate you sir for speaking deep truth. What HE Peter Obi says during the podcast is nothing but the truth. Truly and truly since i have been in Europe , Christianity here is with common sense but Nigeria Christianity is slavery and i pity my generation who cannot wake up from their slumber. I am a minister of God but the equation needs to balance . James 2 vs 14 says faith without action is dead meaning all what we have prayed and ask God for if did not go out to put it to work by taking action is nothing. If full days, weeks and years we keep praying all in the name of full time ministry , its bull shit. The ministers here in abroad work or run their business. if they rely on offering, tithe infact they will kpai . God help us and open our eyes .
