Seems like a six month update on all these chair unboxing videos is needed. First impressions are great, but not nearly as important as how the chair is rated after being in use.
There are other channels like Ahnesty and BTODtv that focus on that tbf, ShortCircuit is for unboxings and stuff.
Word. I spent a crapton (for me) on a semi-high-end office chair almost six years ago and I've not noticed any reduction in comfort yet. The 200-300 USD "gaming" chairs I'd tried before started disintegrating within two years. At that attrition rate my ~700 USD chair looks like a damn bargain in hindsight.
@@hedlundhad a dxracer which lasted a good 3 years before I ditched it in a move. It was decent, but not great. The biggest issue I had with it was the bucket seat - I didn't realize how annoying the lack of leg freedom would become over time.
I since invested in a secretlab evo2022 and been loving it ever since. It's been 1½ years and it's pretty much as good as the day I bought it.
To circle back to op's point, I definitely agree that chairs are best reviewed after months of heavy use. Preferably it would be 12 months of heavy daily use, but the issue with a test that long is that many of the gaming chair manufacturers update their products yearly with a new version, for better and worse invalidating the old review.
How about no.

The Herman Miller Aeron is a much better deal. the 12-year warranty alone makes it better. Compare that to ONLY 1 for the mesh on the razer
Only 1 year??? Nah they can't be serious with the price...
Personally I always found the Aeron to be quite uncomfortable. After testing them out for a while I found chairs like the Embody or a Steelcase Gesture/Leap v2 to be so much better. Ultimately I decided to stick with the Gesture, mostly due to the amazing armrests and because it comes with a proper, and actually good headrest which is something you always have to retrofit on Herman Millers.
Yeah this pricing is in league with a few Steelcase offerings (if on sale) as well, also with a longer warranty
A 1-year warranty on the most concerning (durability-wise) parts of the chair is atrocious for that price. I'll have to wait several years to see how it fairs for people that bought it before I consider purchasing this. Or I might just get another Aeron.
IMO the Aeron wasn't meant to be "comfortable", so much as just disappear while you're working. I never really think about my Aeron except when coming across chair reviews. It makes my life easier to just not think about it, where every other chair I tried I was constantly shifting to get comfortable, until they fell apart about 12-18 months later. That being said, it's not for anyone. I noticed that people that want to slouch, bend their knees back, or find the seat pan too narrow, find the chair uncomfortable.@@pluesch.
I like the chair, but that 1-year warranty… they can't have that much confidence in their product, which makes me feel like I shouldn't either. For this price point, I'd want a minimum of 10 years.
My thoughts exactly. $1000 for 1 year?? No way
"Fujin" means "woman". So it's literally called the "Woman Pro", it's really expensive, and it only has a 1-year warranty. I don't know what they're trying to imply by this.
@@first__lasti think the fujin on this is more referred to Shinto's God of Wind (風神) instead of Woman as Mistress (夫人), because of the mesh material's airiness and all
@@first__last Another weeb who has never touched grass.
I bought a $300 chair recently with a 15 year warranty, comfiest office chair I've ever sat in. I'll never go back to gaming chairs as they are a complete scam. Low quality easy to break products usually using plastic clips in a lot of structurally important areas. No thanks.
$1000 for a 1 year warranty and not even pre-assembled. Is this a joke?
no it's a Razer product
its the most cost effective Razer product we have ever seen
To this day I don't know who likes these racing chairs
For really tall people they offered much better back support than traditional office chairs that didn't have good upper back, neck, or head support. Also they threw silly amounts of money into marketing towards gamers
We don't, but that's all that's in our price range
True. they are also very unhealthy. if you lean back, your feet are always in the air. they lack a proper mechanic

I have a Secret Lab Softweave Titan and I sit with my legs up in it all the time, a pleather office chair would have warn out years ago the way I move around and these Ergo chairs are exactly what the name suggest.. Unless you literally sit like a call center phone operator on tv all day every day then its worth it, if you sit any other sort of style then they aren't.
"You don't want to cheap out on the chair."
Me, sitting on my $36 folding lifetime chair from Costco.
I have a 10 dollar from warehouse stationery.
Compared to what's in the video I'm also team broke, but the 180€ Ikea Markus has been good sofar
02:01 Wow, that's a terrible warranty given the Herman Miller and Steelcase competition at this price point.
Yes but it says gaming on the box so it’s always more expensive. That’s just how it is.
@@MaximilianZ96Herman miller Logitech gaming chair the embody was just over 1k with 12 years of warranty lol
@@ZinoAmare yeah that one is most likely the exception. I haven’t tried it but I heard good things. Still I think that the embody just looks shit so I still wouldn’t buy it. I currently have my eyes laid on a haworth fern for my next chair.
@@MaximilianZ96 aah I own it and it’s awesome I do like the looks of that help’s but Aeron is also good
there only being a 1 year warratny on the fabric is wild to me. the thing most likely to fail and see the most abuse is the thing with the least coverage. OMG Just got to the price. how is their warranty so bad for the price they are charging.
Because they know they can get away with not paying for those warranty fixes due to their hyped brand image. It really shows that the mesh will just stretch out in a year or two and you'll be stuck with a $1049 paper weight that you can't sit in because you're sitting directly on the plastic seat frame.
even so they prolly won't uphold the warranty.
every product I have ever gotten from razer has failed in some way far too early and me making a claim has always resulted in some excuse / reason why the repair/replacement isn't allowed.
my razer blade pro had power issues, would shut off randomly 1 day after buying it.
I sent it back, they fixed nothing at all and sent it back with a cracked screen and refused to replace the screen.
4 weeks latter keyboard keys started repeating, by the end of the year 3 letters where completely dead on the keyboard.
the laptop was 4k USD razer blade pro 2019..
next was my headset, the glue on the usb dongle separated and made the dongle stuck on my pc, had to remove with tweaser. I asked for replacement, they said the headset is under warranty not the receiver. then the left earpiece went out anyway.
keyboard, sun made the plastic warp... yeh that one on me.
then there is the razer wolverine Xbox controller, the a double presses sometimes and the paint chips of of the triggers too easy. otherwise tbh a nice controller just poor materials as usual.
I shit you not. razer has the absolute worst products.
@@dmhzmxncouldn't agree more, every razor mouse i ever bought stopped working properly. Switched all my peripherals to corsair and haven't had a problem since
Because Razer. Quality hasn't been their guiding star in a long time, if it ever was.
@@hedlund not to mention they are punching into 12 year ergo chair territory where at a $1K USD you expect there to be a full 5 year warranty at minimum. No one year only for the mesh. None of that tomfoolery.
For those on a budget but need a good chair, look for used egronomic office chairs from companies like Herman Miller, Obusform, ergocentric, tritek etc. Those chairs are made to last years and years of people sitting on them for 8 hours a day, 5 days a week and will often be full ergonomic chairs to get it just the way you need it to fit you. They are often quite ugly but they make up for that in the number of adjustments and quality of materials. They are also sold for very cheap as well because they are used.
On a budget - Herman miller? Dang man. Even used those chairs are expensive.
@@TrendyWhistle Very true, but still much more affordable than paying 800+ Canadian for a chair that will barely last 2-3 years. The "buy once, cry once" rule still seems to apply to chairs.
I bought the €250 ergo chair from IKEA. One of the best chairs I have ever used. An ergo chair for around that price point is 80% as good as an Herman Miller.
Plus, you have an 10 year warranty!
I almost tossed my current chair because the arms weren't quite the right angle..... took the arms off, put 3 washers under one bolt and perfect. I know people that have after market lumbar support and gel seat tops too. I think if you're going to put in a bit of effort and don't care about looks, you can get 99% of the way to a $1000 chair for like maybe $200.
I bought a _used_ Herman Miller Mirra 15 years ago. It still looks remarkably new. I expect it to last another 15. Never skimp on office chairs.
I bought a Herman Miller Aeron 2nd hand for $450, and thats in EU where used ones are much more expensive than in america. spent a few hours disassembling and deep cleaning the chair. its now like new, extremely high quality, and cheaper than most gaming chairs.
The price seems way out of touch for a Razer product and honestly a shockingly short Warranty. 1 year on the mesh? That's the bit that will break first.
Exactly, that's the point lol
Asus made the same mistake with the Destrier. These gaming companies aren't used to big warranties. Probably because tech companies are in such a volatile market compared to furniture.
The warranty is an absolute joke, yes. But the pricing, while definitely on the higher side, still seems to be in line with other brands and their offerings. A Herman Miller Embody or Steelcase Gesture aren't exactly cheaper, on the contrary. But I'd still pick them over the Razer any day due to the warranty alone.
i agree on the mesh warranty.
@@pluesch. Just get a Hinomi H1 Pro instead for half the price with more functionality and 12y warranty..
Love how all these new ergo gaming chairs are in the luxury tier price range.
Haha, yeah...
keep in mind though besides just gaming if someone works in an office or works from home and has to regularly sit in the chair for 8hrs a day, that sort of cost begins to look like alot less
@@Goodzikc fair point. I mean if it works it works hehe
I paid half that for my Herman Miller Mirra chair that I'm still using 14 years later - and I'm still very happy with it. I use it 8+ hours a day Mon-Fri for work, plus evenings and weekends for gaming, coding, etc.
There's no excuse for scratching the chair whilst assembling it - he should have done it on the rug, not the hard floor!
It would be nice if, when you're doing videos on chairs, you had all the different body types that you have working for you test sit the chair. From short to long and thin to fat. It would also be nice if you wrote their length on screen when they tried the chair.
Totally agree that it's nice to finally have some "gaming chairs" that aren't uncomfortable race car seats. I don't need bolsters to hold me in place side to side. That's super expensive though, especially when you consider only a 1 year warranty on the part most likely to wear out quickly... I'd never trust that for that much money with only 1 year warranty.
at this pricepoint id rather get myself a HM Aeron
I’d consider the embody. Aeron ain’t that good compared to this
I'd love to see you guys get a lineup of sub-300 chairs and see if any are worth actually buying on a budget.
I'd suggest trying out the Costco DPS chair, it's pretty decent.
I never really got the whole 'gamer chair' thing, i always buy my chairs from office furniture stores that are comfortable, affordable and lasts forever. My current chair ive had for over 4 years and it still looks and feels brand new. How many people can say that about their 'gamer chairs' i wonder?
most regular office chairs dont have the 'tilt and lock' at any angle feature, which i use every day. office chairs dont have the recline the backseat back 180 degrees either, that all 'gaming' chairs offer
I honestly can say that about my DXRacer chair. The only thing is that I did pay over $400 for it years ago, so that didn't feel affordable to me, but this one is $1000, so.... It's just as spotless and comfortable as when it was new. The back support offered by the firm pillow it came with is always appreciated too. I know there are a LOT of crappy racing style chairs, but mine isn't one of them.
Agreed 100%... but to be fair to this thing, it looks more similar to an office chair than it does to some of these race car styled gamer chairs.
Same with gamer audio products.
ive had a dx racer 3 for 5 years and its still goiing strong. looks a little used but defintely not falling appart. thats pretty strong for 250€. Ive never had good experience with office chairs
Hope the 4D armrests have a bit more stiffness to them. My Enki ones rattle terribly and the buttons on the inside of the armrests are in the worst position as I constantly hit my arms on them and move them
They do bend the space-time continuum...
I like the headrest that helps push the neck forward and get you into that true gamer posture.
I especially love how there's a carpet right there but you decided to build it on the hard surface, scratching-potential floor instead.
The groan Colton let out when he stood up @4:07 was so relatable.
love the fact i got a secret labs advert mid video
i recently started using aftermarket wheels for my computer chairs, game changing.
I never used the headrest while I am working, typing, doing anything with computers. That is probably good for resting, or sleeping, but when you rest, take a break the first healthy thing is stand up, walk away from any chair… so the head rest -less option is perfect for everyone who usually work sitting on that chair.
I've been looking at getting one of these so one thing to note is although the non Pro is cheaper and looks like it just has no headrest it is actually made of Nylon not metal so basically a different chair
When you lean back, hand rest lean also and change angle and height to desk. I have the same problem with my Ergohuman chair. It is a big design problem.
Personally, I look for the recline feature and would have appreciated the mention of this chair having which type of recline mechanism.
I've had a Razer Iskur in gray cloth. I think I paid around $375 on it and it's been absolutely fabulous. It's not gaudy at all, comfortable, and it's held up well over the past 3 years or so. The only thing I did was replace the castors with the larger/softer rollerblade style wheels because I'm on low pile carpet. Love it.
when he leans back while gaming it made me think of cartman playing WoW
A thing about the weight limits. Those limits might have to do with the seals on the air piston for the height adjustment. Those can crack and break when to much weight is applied (something I know from personal experience) leaving the piston unable to hold air and always sliding to the lowest height setting as soon as you add any weight to it.
Looks like a decent $300 chair. I would probably wait for it to go on sale, and buy it for $250.
If it's well built then it's worth more than that. The thing that puzzles me is why they charge almost half the price of the chair for a headrest.
@@formulaic78 headrest and a metal construction vs nylon
@@mistrsynistr7644 yeah but the atlas headrest for embody is under $200.
$1200
This looks so much like a shihoo chair. But with a higher price tag.
Sometimes just leave chair making to the chair makers.
Companies are seeing setup videos having less and less racing chairs and more and more office chairs, while the office chair makers are now spaceship-fying their chairs. See the embody/gesture
Needs to be half the price and maybe it could compete with HM or Steelcase
Thank Goodness ShortCircuit. Ive been waiting for a video review of this product since I saw it announced. I'm just glad the first one I've found are reputable and thorough 😂

I use a Pea Green and Gold striped chair from the 1970s. Far more sturdy and resilient than any office chair I have ever bought. I've had it for a decade now and it's still holding up. Does it roll? no, but it's light enough to adjust position and made of wood.
a 5-year warranty for a chair in that price range? C'mon son.
And at that price you're better off splurging on a harmen miller chair
Fr Fr it should have a 30 year warranty
@@HerbaMachina herman miller is cheaper...
It's worth mentioning that I did buy the Razer Fujin Pro. Within 5 days after I had received it and assembled it, the neck in the headrest broke and was no longer tighten able and was loosely falling in place, rendering it useless. Upon reaching out to Razer support, I requested a replacement headrest which I was then instructed to jump through hoops, including but not limited too, asking me how much I weighed (the headrest broke, I'm not sure how this is relevant?) taking a video of my problem, what I was doing when it occurred and sending it in.
After deliberation with the support specialist and my refusal to do so, as I had just paid 1000$ for a chair that lasted 5 days (was within return warranty still) and the part that broke was a pre-assembled piece that had no involvement on my part what so ever...they caved and offered to send a replacement headrest.
I gave the chair another 3 days and realized, I'm just not comfortable in this thing, ever. (To which ultimately lead to me returning it)
- I'm 5'9, 165lbs. Average build. The fabric is tough a little thick and has a 'sticky' type texture, so if you're wearing shorts or like to fold a leg once in a while...it's a little painful actually.
- The lumbar support is horrendous, tacky and actually undoes itself if you have the chair reclined, forcing your weight back on it, forcing you to tighten it up over and over again.
- The weirdest decision on the part of the decision, of them all in my opinion, is that they attached the arms to the back of the chair, which means...when you recline the chair, the arms recline with it, this is something none of the TH-cam reviews I watched, address. This causes the arm rests to be at an upward ramped angle when gaming and is extremely uncomfortable. I've never seen a chair prior to this one, designed this way, a completely brainless decision on the design teams part. Who wants to rest their arms on the nose of the arm rest, my arms don't bend that way guys!
All in all, I personally recommend everyone to stay away from this product until 1. They make changes to these flaws. or 2. They appropriately price this product for what it's worth and it's not 1000$.
P.S. I was previously using a Secret Labs Racing chair and it's more comfortable in every way, even including with my flattened cushion, which is why I was upgrading out in the first place.
If anyone has other comfortable chair options, please let me know, as I'm still looking.
Oh I miss those days where the sofa does all the job with a my friends playing games like there's no tomorrow.... 😊 🤣
The thing all these chairs get wrong is where the hydraulic column mounts to the seat. They place it towards the rear, putting maximum pressure on your tailbone and spinal column. The column should be centered on the seat to distribute the load and float the spine when reclining.
My Steelcase Gesture has a 12 year warranty on everything, and they ship you a replacement in a week or two if you have to use it. That 12 years is for 24/7 commercial use too, so as a consumer, I doubt I'll be wearing it out. It's super comfortable and looks great too. It costs a good deal more but when the mesh on that Razor dies in a year and a half the extra cost on the Gesture will seem just fine.
Respawn gaming chairs had something similar. My biggest complaint was the foam at the front of the seat comes out sometimes and my elbows chewed through the armrests after a few ywars
LOL a grand plus for a mesh ergo chair my respawn just as good as that other than 4d arms costs under 500 and if i ever wanted to replace the mesh i can because it is all screws holding the various parts together i might even mod it for a leather seat vs mesh
It's an office chair with a gaming Logo
Literally. All these 1000$ "ergonomic" mesh chairs are just 50$ office chairs which everyone had in 2010.
anything with "gaming" on it is the same product but with a 20-30% markup
The best part the guy trying to talk it up like he's never seen one like it before lol
You could buy an office chair grab a stencil of whatever game you like or company logo and a can of spray paint and make it yourself for a lot cheaper.
Those chompford edges will chomp you everytime lol
I just got this chair for $500 on amazon! Thanks for the review!
This looks so cool, but even $200 is more than I can afford for a single desk chair. Can you review more budget options?
we need one more step on the reviews.. the service part , in you cut the mesh or you broke something , how easy will it be to find the parts for replace
Colton, the reason you don't have a buddy is because you've been fired so many times. Even Dereck had Sarah to help with setting up the desk - and somehow I think he's been fired less than you!

Yes (me included), but pretty standard for premium office chairs. It insane how much companies shell out for office chairs.

This costs nearly double my HM Sayl, has less adjustment and half the length of warranty (at best). Oh, and it was delivered pre-assembled. The only thing this has over mine is a headrest. I'll stick with Herman Hiller, thanks!
Unfortunately, HM is for shorter people =(
That aside, you're 100% right. With those brands you're paying for the quality AND the warranty. With Razer you're paying more for less in all aspects.
@@Elvewizzy. Well you have to buy the Herman Miller chair designed for tall people outside of 95% of body types it's designed for. You have to look for the Aeron Size C, which has to be special ordered and assembled. As a 6'2" tall guy I've personally experienced this. I've tried the Aeron size B(The common size everywhere) and it didn't work for me. I was too wide as I was sitting on the seat frame just barely and I wasn't a correct fit for the lumbar support due to my lower discs being hurt years ago. If I didn't have my back issue the Embody would of been perfect but it is VERY expensive. The Mirra 2 was awesome for me but the front edge of the seat was uncomfortable with the frame closing on my legs towards the knees. What I settled on was the Cosm high back edition with the adjustable arms. The leaf style arms weren't worth spending the extra $100 on but everything else on that chair is awesome! The mesh hugs me while still giving me enough support without killing my back in pressure from extra lumbar support. It literally gave my freedom back at my computer desk.
@@Elvewizzy.I disagree when comparing this to a sayl. I sat in the embody, Aeron and sayl and honestly got out of the sayl in under a minute. It's just not comparable in solidity to the embody and Aeron, but is very stylish. This chair looks to be more in the Aeron class. I would be tempted at 650 without a headrest, cos that's almost a third of Aeron price. The pro price is ludicrous though.
@@formulaic78 I didnt mean the sayl specifically tho. Even the embody isnt really for tall people like me, let alone the really tall people. (I'm 1.93 for reference)
@@Elvewizzy. Yeah the steelcase gesture seems a good choice for tall people. I'm 1.73 so the embody is perfect height wise for me.
So the industry came full circle back to an office chair
It would be really worth it to do lang duration testing of these chairs. Razer products have a tendency to break after some time. I like their mice, but you do notice that they don't have a big lifetime. And like other people mentioned, that 1 year warranty of the fabrics makes me really suspicious. I'm also kind of wondering if the reason Herman Miller made your butt in the mesh hit the actual structure beneath is actually because of lifetime reasons for the mesh. I can imagine if that mesh has to fully support your weight, and perhaps some bounces on it, all the time, it can break more easily.
i have the razer enki, ive had it for about 2 years now and honestly its still going great. the backrest has some free play i need to figure out how to sort but its still like i got it day 1. the Fujin looks like it has a lot of the same parts as the Enki, apart from the actual chair itself. mad pricing, otherwise i'd consider it
ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS
Staples has the same style chair for like $120
4D adjustable arm rests? Do they time travel or am I missing something?
staples hyken chair almost looks the same as the razor but with a nylon frame and its always on sale for 150$
If you haven't tried the Aeron from Herman Miller I highly recommend it. Pricey but you'll never want another chair after.
I bought a Diablo V-Commander chair which looked a lot like this and was less than $300. So good in the summer, nice and breezy. After 3 years of heavy use it's still immaculate.
1199.99€ for that? Yeah I don't think those racing chairs are dead.
Those breathable and little bit of ergonomic chairs have INSANE pricings.
Funny thing is that i have all those features in the ego chair i bought over 10 years ago and all my controls with only one joystick ( only difference from the. To now is that its not as dark as back when i got it )
In that price point I would rather get a Steel case. It comes assembled. I have the Leap and it's incredible. Got it used for $250 and the cushion hasn't changed in over 2 years. I would totally buy a new one and not be offended by the price.
Herman Miller x Logitech Embody chair is still king. Love mine and don't regret my decision. Only thing it's missing is the 4D armrests, but this chair is freaking comfortable and has a 12 year warranty
The Hinomi H1 Pro is less than half the price and has so many more points for tuning the ergonomics, it even folds to store under your desk for smaller spaces. Could you please review that chair?
Asus also released the Destrier. Nice that we are moving away from those racing bucket seats
It’s too adult for me 😂 I need the bright green racing seat. This office look reminds me too much of the fact I am getting close to 40 😅
$1000+ for a chair is crazy. Especially with only a 1 year warranty.
Best chair upgrades: Mem Foam arm rest covers & Rollerblade Wheels
I love chairs with a mesh bottom. The farts go right through 😂
But seriously, so many mesh chairs only have a mesh back
The weight rating for the fujin might be lower at 300 pounds because of the gas spring - the weight of the chair itself added with your body weight might be more prone to sliding down.
4D armrests! So you can adjust them in X, Y, Z and in time?
Well... X, Y, Z but you can also angle them so its more of an uh... X, Y, Z, A? Anway lets call it 4D!
@@alexwithanx that's just a combination of X, Y and Z. What next? Add RGB, say you can adjust the colour of the armrests and claim that's the 5th dimension? 😂
Feeling chair frame on your butt is probably the best way to make me hate the chair. I like my secret labs because of how dense its foam is. Once you start getting past 300 or so that's a lot for a chair for a lot of people and becomes an investment. It's a mistake I've made and never pays off and is way worth it to invest a little more.
I bought a Hbada E3 for 1/3 of the price (metal version) which seems to have almost the same quality...

Got some Razer haptic headpones, they fell off my head and broke. It was such an easy/clean break I didn't even bother with returning or replacing them. Just kinda knew at that point I would need to invest in other areas.
No link in the description?
I bought a Realm of Thrones Ergo gaming chair about 3 years ago, best thing I ever did!
At that price go for a Herman Miller Aeron or Embody - they come with 12 years warranty
I would love one of these chairs. I'm a teacher with a hand me down chair that is ripped and stained. A nice chair like this is way out of my price range
I guess going from slapping logos on the same basic racing chair and charging 10x for that to slapping logos on the same basic mesh chair and charging 10x is a slight improvement?
The chair looks almost identical to the chair i bought for $200. Some minor differences, and the un-needed metal parts, but overall looks very close. Its a very comfortable chair, the open mesh is the best material for a chair. That said, i cant see why anyone would spend more than $400 for a chair like that
That 1 year warranty on the fabric and mesh just screams, "our mesh will stretch out and make you sit on the seat frame", as I had the same thing happen to me within 2 years of owning a WorkPro 1000 ergo chair. The MSRP on that one is as much as $300 and at the time I got mine for $100 or something like that but it had a 5 year warranty for it all I think. I had to get it replaced due to the seat and I had an bolt shear off for an arm rest. So I had to get that warrantied as well and by god that was horrible. They sent me the wrong part multiple times and often some of the ones I needed had flaws in the finish of the arm cushion. I had so many issues that by the time the second chair bottom mesh stretched out yet again, they just gave me a gift card back in what I spent on the chair so they didn't have to spend more inventory on me!
The fact that this $1049 "premium chair" doesn't give you a 10 year warranty just screams they are not confident in the chair lasting more than 5 years. 5 years is standard for many $300 and up chairs. Doesn't matter if it has "alloy metal" in the marketing, the material can still snap, especial with the other parts STILL being nylon on this overpriced chair. Mind you Nylon isn't a bad material for an office chair, it's a GOOD material as long as it's been DESIGNED to take the wear and tear of daily use. The "alloy metal" can break or bend too.
Yeah that warranty wasn’t sounding good, almost as if someone isn’t confident and it’s not a cheap chair at all 😂
You’d probably like the Neue Chair from Secret Labs.
I got a Sihoo C300 from Amazon for $300, its almost identical, heck i'd even say they're made in the same factory.
I got that chair, too and looking at all these extremely much more expensive ones, I don't feel like I'm missing out on anything. Friends of mine who do have significantly more expensive non-overpriced ergonomic chairs who sat on mine also think its good and merely a very slight downgrade.
Dont worry. Material cost is under 100$ for these. But its Razer so 2 Zeros were clearly never an option here. My 10$ Amazon chairs are out of mesh. Its the cheapest material there is an everyone is charging astronomical prices for these. Just because "Ergonomic chair" sounds so much nicer than cheap Office chair.
how tf are the arm rests 4d adjustable?? they move through time?????
In regards to not cheaping out on your chair, I was told more than 10 years ago that your chair should cost as much as your computer, and I've found that to be good advice. Of course that was before graphics card prices went stratospheric.
There is literally a carpet right next to him.
i bought a chair 2yrs ago for 100 on amazon and the only thing bad is the cushion is now worn out but it still looks perfect no tears or scuffs or anything. I got a plaid all black leather chair tagged for big people. I cut the steel plates to move the arm rests closer. since it was uncomfortable dip the dip worn out i folded sum cardboard at the front and it kinds works now im just in a perfect shaped for my butt LOL. i dont think $1000 is worth it for me rn. id rather upgrade my 3070 or buy a new desk for that price like wtf... its super nice i have many rzer things but that price is wild
If you guys want to really look at Office chairs it would be cool if you could look at chairs less gaming focused, like herman miller, steelcase, and haworth. The "racing/gaming" chairs are usually overpriced and just really bad at ergonomics, even the best of the gaming ones the secret lab titan isn't as good as a cheaper office chair. Really glad you are looking at more ergo focused chair!
A gamer spending that much money will likely have already invested in flight stick addons or the like from a place like Monster Tech. Can premium gaming addons be used on this chair? Important questions to ask when reviewing the chairs these days.
Ive looked at chairs for a long time wanting to get a new one bc I feel the need to “upgrade” from my 9 year old chair from staples but any chair I bought in the last few years I hated and ended up returning. Im not sure how this chair has lasted this long but till I find a chair at a decent price that sits just as good im sticking with my ol pleather staples chair
I wonder how long the mesh on the bottom will last before it sags significantly
We need chairs reviewed for big dudes. A lot of chairs CLAIM they can support as much as 400lbs but they don't hold up in actual use. I'd really like to see guidance out there for buying big and tall chairs to find good ones that will last. I like my AK Racing chair, they have a wild 10 year warranty, and they have been great about sending entire replacement sections at need so far, but it clearly cannot hold up to weights it is rated for, it keeps breaking in the same areas. I'd like to not be having to ask for new parts every year or two.
Regardless of weight, gaslifts are and will always be a wear item and will need replacing every so often Im afraid.
Fortunately, you can basically fit most 3rd party ones and just grab a beefier one! That being said, my old DXRacer chair had amazing support in that regard. They let me order every piece I needed to replace. Gaslifts and mechanism they replaced for free during the 6-7 years I used mine.
I hope I find the Haworth support to be as good as that when the time comes to replace components there.
Or at least someone not as short as Colton.
I could be wrong but I feel a refurb aeron would be more comfortable and last longer
I bet the 50 pound difference is in the razer chair itself. Just the weight of the materials :D
Also they say it has a "4D" arm support, but i fail to see how theyre adjustable in width.
Even my somewhat "cheap" (relative to the ones in the video) ergo chair has width adjust on the arm rests. I mean like the whole arm rest assembly can be adjusted in width, not just the top part.
