    AC/DC has been rocking like this since the mid 1970s, and doing it better than anyone else. They're in their 50s at this concert. Most of that crowd hadn't been born yet when this song hit the charts.

    Not too shabby for a bunch of old dudes!!!!! AC/DC played 3 straight nights at River Plate in Dec 2009 to a total of 220,000+ ppl so says their official web site so that’s 73,000+ a night!!!!! Brian Johnson was 63, Angus Young was 55 and the rest of the boys were in their 50’s!!! Legendary is all I can say. These Argentina fans are the best on the planet and they appreciate good hard driving rock and roll. Just look at all the different ages in the crowd. It transcends generations. Unbelievable!! So says Austin Tx!!!! 🤣🤣🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸😍😍😍🥳🥳😎😎🍸

    🎸While the origins of the duckwalk have been traced as far back as T-Bone Walker who already during the 1930s performed dance moves while playing his guitar, it was Chuck Berry from the 1950's who made the duckwalk popular and who is often credited as the inventor. AC/DC guitarist Angus Young, whose musical style was heavily influenced by Chuck Berry, also does a duckwalk, in the form of a one-legged hop, in his shows.

    • @aaronswartz4788

      I always interpreted Angus's duck walk as a tribute to his guitar hero, Chuck Berry.

    At the time of this concert, the average age of the members was about 58 yr old, with lead guitarist Angus Young being 54, and singer Brian Johnson being 62.
    It's at this time when you realize your grandparent just may have rocked harder than you! 🤣

    Glad to see you like it so much.
    AC/DC (abbreviation for alternating current/direct current) was founded in Australia in 1973.
    The Young brothers (lead guitar and rhythm guitar) are without doubt among the best guitar players in the world.
    Both brothers have written almost all the lyrics and countless legendary Ryffs.
    Bon Scott was the singer of the band 1975-1979, unfortunately he died of his vomit in 1980.
    From 1980 (Black Album) Brian Johnson, who can be seen in this video, took over.
    Both are, or in Bon's case were, absolutely brilliant frontmen.
    Songs I can recommend to you include: Back in Black, Hells Bells, Highway to Hell, Dirty Deed Done Dirt Cheap,
    It's a Long Way to the Top, Let There Be Rock, You Shook Me All Night Long and many others.

    AC/DC = alternating current / direct current. AC = house outlets, DC = Batteries

    • @fantasia0kent
      @fantasia0kent 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      AC is rhythm and timing (remember, it's a sine wave, power goes up and down with time); DC is continuous power. Is that not the band?

  • @mikefetterman6782
    @mikefetterman6782 ปีที่แล้ว +6

    Angus and Malcolm (the two little guitarists) back in 1972 were wondering what to call the band. Their sister's Singer Sewing machine was there in front of them with a metal tag on the side of the machine by the power cord. On the tag was the insignia AC/DC (alternate current, direct current.) Almost all the band members were born in Scotland, but moved to Australia as kids after one of the coldest winters in the UK in decades. The drummer, Phil Rudd, was born in Australia, and Brian Johnson here (their 3rd singer after Bon Scott 1974-1980, and Dave Evans 1973)was born and raised in Newcastle England, and was the singer for the band Geordie, before joining ACDC after Bon Scotts death.

    Awesome reaction! Love seeing today's generation discovering great music and entertaining bands from the past. AC/DC songs are fairly simple but the formula works, song after song, for great sounding music and a good time.
    AC/DC has so many rockin' anthem songs that are fire / playlist / pump you up sounding. This concert just amplifies all of them to an even a higher level with the incredible crowd energy being off the charts! Watch every song from this concert..."Shoot to Thrill", "You Shook Me All Night Long", "For Those About to Rock", "Hells Bells", "Whole Lotta Rosie", "Back in Black", "Highway to Hell", ... Amazing!

RIP TO MALCOLM YOUNG, rhythm guitar and BON SCOTT the original singer who sadly pass in 1980. This was a series of three concerts in three days with maximum capacity every night. It was reported that the crowd noise was so bad that it damaged decorative stuff on nearby buildings and that’s why they aren’t allowed to use the stadium for concerts anymore. For another great crowd concert check out the Metallica concert in Moscow. With over a million people attending the crowd shots are mind boggling.

    Shon...I fuckin LOVE you and your reaction!!!...Angus Young, the lead guitar guy and his brother Malcolm's family, they did what my family did....move away from Scotland mid 60's ....the country had no prospects at the time...they went to Australia, we came to Canada...the first lead singer, Bon Scott (another Scotsman) was BRILLIANT, but sadly he died just before AC/DC hit it big, but the band never forgot him and still to this day speak of him.....the AC/DC band name was taken from the back of the lads' sister's sewing machine....it had the voltage sticker thing, and they decided they really liked that power idea....they went with it, and then found out AC/DC meant someone who is bisexual, but too late to change it... 😂😂😂!!!... and their sister was the one who suggested the schoolboy outfit, cos Angus was still in high school when they started to get gigs, and she made Angus's outfits in many colours....Shon, if you have read this far, on a personal aside, MY brother, Malcolm, was lead singer in an AC/DC tribute band in Toronto.... he died in a car crash 13 years ago😭😭😭....and Malcolm Young died a few years ago....seems I share a few similarities with the band.....first heard them in 1977....been hooked on them since then.....sooo glad you like them...music has no boundaries into people's hearts, and hey...I play steel pan in a band, and I LOVE that music too!!!🥰🥰🥰

  • @ajruther67

    Malcolm and Angus Young, the brothers that formed the band, developed the idea for the band's name after their sister, Margaret Young, saw the initials "AC/DC" on the AC adapter of a sewing machine. "AC/DC" is an abbreviation meaning "alternating current/direct current" electricity.
    Angus is the lead guitar player and Margaret came up with idea of Angus wearing his school boy outfit on stage. His brother Malcolm is on rhythm guitar.
    They are from Australia and formed the band in 1973. (50 years ago this year) This is classic hard rock.

    AC/DC stands for the positive and negative battery content. This is why batteries have plus and minuses on them. Once you have them both. That’s when power stops in. You have to have a positive and a negative to get most things working. If somebody has this inside them, you better be careful. It means you’re unstoppable.

    so anywho, back in the early seventies, a young man by the name of malcolm young, rip mal, put together a band. he worked thru several drummers, singers, and bassist's. then his sister suggested he bring his younger brother angus young into the band. angus was young, still in school, so he would show up to practices and gigs still in school uniform. it was going well but they were lacking a "catchy" name. their sister who had been mending, and making outfits for angus, glanced down at her sewing machine and noticed it was ac/dc. (both alternating current and direct current would make it work) .she suggested ?that's a catchy name? the rest is history.

    I'm 54 and grew up listening to this stuff. We Gen X folks had the best music, best cars, and hottest women! AC/DC got their name from when their sister's hair dryer blew up. (The guitar players are brothers). They saw the panel said basically that it operated on either AC (plugged in) or DC (batteries), and they took the name because their band was electric.

    I saw AC/DC in Charlotte on their Razor's Edge tour and it was one of the best concerts I've been to. They have a huge catalog of hits and they're all fire!

    Concerts are where you hear the real music. Music isn’t just something you listen to, it is something you FEEL.

    Ac/ DC are references to electrical power. Because their music is POWER. And the Guitar strut is a nod to Chuck Berry, who was a big influence on the guitar players ( Angus and Malcolm Young). They loved early American Rock and Roll- especially Chuck Berry

    Now you really need to react to "Whole Lotta Rosie" "Highway to Hell" and "The Jack" from the same concert.
