SQUID GAME DRESSER | Furniture Makeover

In this Halloween furniture makeover, I transform a dresser with inspiration from Squid Game.
When I saw this dresser listed on FB Marketplace, I was drawn to it because three of the drawers had circle cut-out designs in the middle, which were perfect to show the three levels of pink soldiers: circle, triangle, and square. I attached the shapes in that order from bottom to top to represent their hierarchy of power, with the top black drawer symbolizing the front man. I thought the lion pulls were also a nice way to mimic the animal masks that the VIPs wear in the show.

You have the best ideas. The drawer knobs and the clothes pins to hold while spray painting… I’m definitely trying that.

I was EAGER for an update!! This turned out really good, very bold, again. The theme is just perfect for the season! The transitions and all the camera work were *chefs kiss*, I had to double back to make sure I was seeing right when the masks reflection was on the black paint 😆, such a nice touch, as well as all others throughout the video, and the staging afterwards, with the little dolls and the pumpkins: awesome, just awesome 👏👏👏👏

Another amazing piece! Btw I am totally adding chopsticks to my workbench arsenal. What a fantastic way to use them. Sure beats needlenose pliers, and then up upped your genius painting the knobs with same chopstick holders!. I like to clothespin holders too.

I have never seen Squid Game, but I always love your work. It always impress when you create what you need with scrap wood. ( You are the second person I've seen use latex paint. I thought that was a big no,no for furniture. )

The creation of the little shapes blew me away
To get a circle with a table saw, after cutting most angles just keep rotating the workpiece against the blade and you'll save a lot of sanding (besides getting a perfect circle, which sanding doesn't guarantee).
When I saw that pink, I thought you were crazy, but it ended up really awesome.

10:03 a tip I discovered myself but what appears to be a known hack: put a nut on the bolt before cutting, after cutting you straighten out the thread by removing the nut, and usually eliminates any damage to the thread!

Also, I have no experience with wood working or anything like that. Is there a reason you used such a dense brush on the pink paint application? I'm just curious, it looks fun to work with.
