    There’s a few other unnamed/minor ones:
    -Truth which belonged to the Rogare family from Lys. There’s a chance we could see it in HotD depending on how far they go.
    -An axe which we haven’t heard to name of yet belonging to Adrian Celtigar.
    -An Arakh belonging to Caggo, one of the Windblown.
    -Unnamed blade belonging to Sandoq the Shadow, another one we may see in HotD
    Also not a sword, but kinda notable, Euron allegedly has Valyrian Steel armor, which depending on how you look at things might actually be better than a weapon lol.

    about the Corbrays:
    -Lady Rhaena Targaryen first husband was sir Corwin Corbray, they married after the Dance of Dragons
    -during the first Blackfyre rebellion, in the battle of the Redgrass field, two valiryan swords clashed as Daemon blackfyre and sir Gwayne Corbray of the Kingsguard fought for nearly an Hour until Daemon managed to wound sir Gwayne. out of respect for his opponent, Daemon ordered his men to treaty the sir Gwayne and Bloodraven took the oportunity for his men to find a good spot and them shoot arrows in which killed Daemon blacfyre.

    There is very interesting and in my opinion believable fan theory that Dawn is the original Ice from the age of heroes and also is the sword used to defeat the white walkers for the first time. Makes both of them even more interesting. Also, Dawn is (likely) not valyrian steel but WAY older, like thousands of years older, than Valyria and said to be made of fallen star (meteorite), which it would likely have to be to be around way back in the day...

    Nightfall had little history but it's still quite special.
    It was looted by Dalton "The Red Kraken" Greyjoy from a corsair he slew. But instead of becoming the ancestral family sword of House Greyjoy, it ended up in the hands of Ser Harras Harlaw, a Ironborn who somehow became a knight

    • @martinmullender-taeter5163
      @martinmullender-taeter5163 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      well to somehow become a knight you need to worship the seven and get a knight to knight you ... easy for a good fighter, just say the words and get a knight to knight you... but thats not my point, most of the northern lancers are not knights, but they are the same thing without the pious name.... also ... fun fact, the Greyjoys are not knights either, they do have their elite fighters but they are not recognized as "knights"

    • @SantomPh

    *Longclaw* Lyanna Mormont should’ve survived the show. She’s too powerful a ruler to be lost.
    Jon Snow should’ve then given Longclaw to Lyanna. Such a fierce leader should have a Valyrian sword. It makes sense.
    *Widow’s Wail* When Jon Snow goes to King’s Landing and show the wight to Cersei, he should’ve also explained that Valyrian Steel can kill the White Walkers.
    When Jaime Lannister abandons Cersei to go North, he should’ve stolen Widow’s Wail and then fought alongside Brienne with the other half of Ice, Oathkeeper.
    After the battle, he gives it to Jon Snow.
    Whether they merge the two back together is debatable. Perhaps after Brienne passes away.
    Or remake Ice but take a small part of it to create a Valyrian Steel version of Needle.
    *Heartsbane* Given to Samwell’s son who becomes a warrior so Randyll’s wish is granted that the sword is wielded by a warrior Tarly who happens to be half wildling.
    *Catspaw dagger* I think it should be Bran, since it was used against him and I want every Stark to have a Valyrian weapon, or Sansa since she shouldn’t have a sword but a dagger hidden in her clothing.

      From the series, when Tommen enacted his literal interpretation of King's landing, the entire city was in chaos with Cersei quickly taking control. It's likely the sword was completely forgotten until likely buried in rubble from the city being burned down. We can only hope some very opportunistic Kingsguard or chamber maid stole it away when they saw everything falling apart.

  • @TheIronDuke9

    At least a couple of these blades have a damascus pattern (wood grain look) that indicates there was more than one type of steel used in the forging. So Widow's Wail and Heartsbane are not pure Valyrian or there would be no damascus pattern. I think the pattern is evident in a couple of other swords but I can't see clearly enough - it sure looks like there's a pattern in Catspaw as well. The damascus pattern is achieved by forging two or more different steels (steels with different carbon content) together and then folding them repeatedly until the folded layers produce a wood grain appearance. This is probably just a production choice because it makes the swords look distinct and awesome. Something that bothers me as a blacksmith though is how "forged" swords are often depicted being "cast" and poured into a mold. This is not how a sword is forged. Nobody fights with a cast iron sword. If you wanted to forge 2 new swords from 1 old one you would simple cut the old sword into 2 pieces and then heat until bright red and hammer those pieces out to make the shape of 2 new swords - no melting required. When the 2 new sword shapes have been hammered out the shape is refined by grinding and filing, then it's heat treated and tempered, then polished, then sharpened. But again, pouring liquid metal into a mold is a production choice because it looks really cool on camera

    • @mraha9525
      @mraha9525 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      The damascus pattern is not a production choice, it is was how valyrian blades are described in the book of I remember correctly. All valyrian blades are mostly dark with damascus look (it is not said like that but that's how i remember it)

    lets be honest, if Sam took Heartsbane ... he would not have reached the wall, he would be hunted down by his father, and if not him then by his retainers and friends ... you cant just "take" a valyrian sword and all will be fine, its like taking the crown of england and thinking you can just walk out, these things are guarded day and night and everyone knows what they look like ... also if i was lord commander and my friend just dragged in a Valyrian sword, i would tell him he is crazy and go into full damage control mode, because the last thing we need is the Tarlys marching up to the wall to reclaim it, and you bet they would march, everyone ever that was called Tarley and their men
    also .. if you are gonna make a video about ASOIAF then you should actually know what you are talking about ... where to start ... i mean the comments are just flooded with people pointing out wrong points, and these are not hardcore fans that read all the books 20 times, just people that are interested for the most part and can use the damn wiki .... the name of "ice" is ancient tradition/legacy for the starks to name the great blade of the king in the north, not the sword we see in ASOIAF, the sword is much younger than the name... for a start

      @@im_sai4600don't quote the books if you've never read them. You're obviously parroting some ill understood crazy theory off of some youtuber. Lightbringer is a mythological sword associated with the legend of Azor Ahai, the Starks have nothing to do with it as far as we know.

      @@armandogutierrez473 yeah and Lightbringer itself is a myth from Essos, not Westeros. Literally has nothing to do with the Starks.
