An impressive display of skill in every step but especially on the belt sander. Free-handing those fullers couldn't have been easy. And the sword looks awesome!
I just met you at the Highland Games and bought a fixed blade knife from you! It was on the far right and one of the $150 ones. I gave it to my dad today and he fell In LOVE with it! I showed him your TH-cam and he’s stoked! Thanks a ton man, you do great work and I’m glad I was able to buy a legit hand forged piece instead of some of that crap sold at the booth a building over from you 😆
What did you use to get the gold color on the edges of the guard? You did a beautiful job, in case you're interested the original prop has an ostrich skin handle. Adam Savage did a video about the swords on set and there is a lot of good reference in the video.
Please make more videos dude. I love your work, and I appreciate the relaxing music. I subscribed just now, you deserve way more subscribers. Are you related to Sonny Suttles? I've bought several Valiant Armory pieces.
@caulshivers1029 thank you! I'm actually just finishing editing a new video this week. They definitely make great blades but no , no relation that we're aware of.
Beautiful sword. You do spectacular work. About how long did it take to make it? The Damascus pattern is beautiful. Have you hears about Forged in Fire? You could win it.
Dude, nice job. I'm making one too and I'm basically finished after over a year of work 😅. It's literally my first sword. I just finished the handle but I still lack the detail work on my pommel and guard with the dremel. It was very interesting to watch the way that you did yours! Yours looks amazing!
Beautiful work and a great copy of Dark Sister but, it is not a true Valyrian Sword. The Iron used was not from by the undying slaves from the mines of Valyria nor were the alloys (fresh lava from one of the 14 volcanoes, and powdered Dragon Glass) added to the metal as the blade was being forged, Also the blade was quenched in regular oil or water and not in the blood of a dead dragon and most importantly, the blade was not blessed by a Priest of the "Old Gods". Aside from that, a great piece of work.
Talent Talent Talent....another Masterpiece. You sir are a true artist. Thank you for the lesson.
Thank you kindly!
Good Valyrian steel is so hard to get these days, well done.
😂😂😂
The youtube algorithm has finally done something right suggesting this beauty

Thank you! It's definitely taken lots of hours in practice to grind in clean fullers free hand
i suspect he may have forged a Zweihänder bread sword for the kitchen
I really wish I hadn’t seen this because now I want one. Awesome work!
@BigWillG14 thanks! I do take on custom orders, feel free to look up my fb page and drop us a line!

FINALLY someone that makes the bevel with a hammer in hot instead of simply grinding it
@diegoavalis3886 thanks! I enjoy the forging the most so try and do as much as I can before touching any belts

How do you get the blade straight, must take some doing.
Just practice and a good eye
Great work bro
😍😍 see now that's a sword worth paying hundreds of dollars for vs the nice looking wall hangers
Brotha amazing peace need to make blackfire now
bros finna blow up
Magnificient
that's one sexy longsword ngl... glad they didn't go with the book version of the sword...
How much does a custom sword like this cost?
Have you been on Forged in Fire yet or any plans to be there?
Would have been cool to see the assembly
Please do Blackfyre next.
Definitely a high chance one is on the schedule
my deepest wish , is to own a sword like this as a famillial legacy.. from me to ma boy , writing on it "Be rough , civilisation never lasts"
Nice ❤
holy shit that's frikkin awesome
Every Time something hard hits glowing Steel, there are dark grey Flakes of a Sort... I wonder, what these are...
Flakes of steel that gets colder with the outside air contact ad detaches itself from the big piece due to the hammering
It's a layer of oxidized steel peeling off
So if I was interested in having you commissioned me one of these would you do it
That's pretty damn close to Peter Johnsson's original... well done.
0:13 - I see you, I appreciate it.
Do you take commissions?
I do, feel free to email me at suttlesmetalworks@gmail.com
Or find me in FB under suttles knife and sword and can message me there as well
👏👏👏👏🤜🤛
I want that man
blackfyre next?

Would one kidney be enough for you to give me this? 😭
Not many smiths can still work with Valyrian steel anymore. You're part of a select few 😉
I was fourteen when this movie came out. It had a major impact on my life. In the long run, it is one of the moments that helped save my life.
