Bob, I've been a Porscheholic for over 50 years. I've owned several and still own one at 72 years old. I told my wife, when I die, no casket, just my Porsche for my final resting place. We have a HUGE Family farm and I can pick my place of interment. LOL... She don't think it's too funny~~~~...
Hello from Ireland again, Bob. I like that Audi you swapped. Lovely 928, it looks like all it needs is a good clean, and away you go, lol. Frank looks like a very cool guy 😎. I can't wait to see this Car after just a Wash. Great video again Bob. Drive Safe, and you Becky. God Bless you both. 🙏🙏🫡👌👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Thanks Bob and Becky for yet another great video and sweet car! I'm Still searching for my perfect 90's Mec S-Class. I have a Signel red 90 300E w/ 64k miles (perfect condition), and looking for equivelent 90s S-Class. 😊 Hit me up Bob if you come along a low milage S-class eairly 90s. Thank's again guys!
Sweet find. Chances are the LH computer is bad. Once you get the tank cleaned and fresh gas (couldn't believe you tried starting it with old gas) in it, if she spins but doesn't start, you prob have a bad LH. Check Relay XX to see if it's good. If yes, pull the out hose on the fuel filter and try starting. If no fuel, the LH is bad and needs resoldering. Guy in AZ does them along with MAFs and they're good as new. The LHs all fail on the S4s.
@@928pcaragreed I have an earlier car an 84’ and it’s engine is a non interference engine. But with the S4 & GT on. They are so you have to make sure to change the timing belt that’s a must.
Like Bob said any 928 the maintenance isn’t a lot. It’s a relatively straightforward car. What’s going on now with this car is it needs new distributor, new set of leads, rotor and new spark plugs. And for good measure a new fuel filter and it will start right up. Like mine did. But if you leave these cars sit for longer than 2 years which this one has from the looks of it. It will need new discs and brake calipers as they cease to work easily, if not regularly driven. Also buy on condition of the interior. As when it’s rough it’s very costly to make it good again. And of course a paint job is expensive on these cars to disassemble and assemble again. As all 928’s are way over built. They are like G-Wagons. When new 928’s were as expensive as a 911 Turbo. Let that sink in. So great value for money! Compared to what a 911 Turbo of a similar year is worth now. Transmission are 👍🏼 great!
Hey E. BoB, that 928S model is in tremendous condition at 118K on the odometer. Where does this vehicle come in at on price after a thorough mechanical service and interior/exterior clean ^UP^ ?!? Many Thanks Yo ! 🚘🔍 --- 💸💸🤔

Have loved these cars since I was a kid and heard little Tommy Cruise sitting in one and utter the phrase, “Porsche, there is no substitute”

I had two of these in 86. One black with white interior. One white with black interior. Both with 3 piece deep dish BBS rims

Great find Bob! Congratulations!
I love these 928's!
The 928 is one of the best looking car ever. And those wheels are by far much nicer than the regular ones. Very nice find.

You got to be insane to try and fix this car.
@@normalizedaudio2481 yup!
My dad had 2 of these( base models)…Iwanted to love them ..but they were like a German Camaro…( I wish he would’ve kept one though).😊
...had an '83 S2; loved it, but it was a money pit. After years of being upside down in it, I cut my losses and sold it, but I miss it to this day...

I always wanted a 928. I just fear the maintenance compared to a air cooled Porsche.

You can jump start a 928 from the front, the positive port is near the right headlight/ coil area under a plastic screw metal nipple.
