Perfect review, I live neat the factory and upgraded from v2 to 2.1, had to use the ramp up chamber at the same pressure of the main ; rebound, as you said, all open.
Haven’t watched this yet but based on title I’d love a comparison to the Manitou Mezzer. Every forum and comment section I’ve read calls that the stiffest fork.
Also if u could get ur hands on an Intend Fork that’d be really cool 2
Edit: and since I’m requesting stuff the new push fork as well lol
Soon
I weigh 220lbs. I ride a new Fox 36 @ 160mm. It's not enough fork all the way around. I just bought a Fox 38 BUT with the E-Tuned even though I don't ride an E-bike. I checked out the drawings of Fox's E-Tuned vs Regular fork, and decided the E-Tuned would be better because of my weight and how hard I ride. I chose it over the new Fox X2 damper, etc. I need to be glued through the mid range. Hopefully, I made the right choice.
After this weekend I'm sending my Fox Float X2 in for warranty. In case anyone doesn't know Fox is covering the 22/23 shock and replacing it with a new 2025.
But you do have me leaning to the EXT Storia, which is on sale for under 900 bucks now!
I am the same weight range and love my 38. I am on a e-bike and just straight line sections without care. The fork never feels over whelmed. I have two tokens in. If you have a lot of heavy hits, go to three. Two feels coil like. Very little no ramp up. I also went with the fox DHX2 and am super happy with it
The e tune 38, just has a lighter lsc tune for fatties you sit all day in the seat. Nothing else, hints e tune.
I have the e chassis 36, larger crown
Edit Fox charges you for their design flaw in x2 😉
The Era is stiffer than the 38, but they are making a 38 for marketing purposes, for people who think they need one like yourself 😭
I have a ‘22 Levo pro. Came with a 38 factory. How would I determine if this is an “e-tune”?
@@nathantoney.1501 It will be stamped on the side of the fork (if it's not get you can take it in and get it tuned if you really want). All new 2024+ forks that come with the Grip X2 damper are ebike compatible out the box.
Great review, considering this one since I have Storia v3 in the rear, but the price, now I am leaning towards th Selva R, I hope you could review them here also because I really love how review suspensions.
I have never even seen those, maybe not USA forks
Creator of the fork, Alan Beggin , told me that v2.1 is not necessarly an upgrade from v2, and that is true
I had a much better time on V1. The V1 you could tune the air spring. Cheers. I want to ride in Italy. Why do Italian bikes come with Fox and Rockshox. So weird to me
Many Mezzers here, Rulezman from finale was deeply involved in the project so really pushed this product,
Also a lot of Selvas and new Bright with their new Next Rc3 seems to have finally a mature product
Have you seen the new short video of the guy on his YT fox 38 the left lower just snaps clean off from the arch! He bunny hopped it with a bar spin it looks like the stanchion stuck and shot the lower leg clean off from the wiper seals! I just got a new emtb with fox 38s now abit concerned being a heavier rider will they cope! Yes under warranty but I'm not 😂
I wonder if their lower leg nuts were loose?
I saw that, sharp impacts are not good.
"Stiffest fork ever made". I beg to differ as I found the Era the flexiest of the recent forks I've owned 😅. Sold it shortly after and got a Mezzer, THAT is a stiff fork.
Bro I’m getting one soon
It kinda sounds like he’s talking about the perceived harshness of the airspring when he says “stiffness” and not the actual flexural stiffness of the fork itself 🤷 i could be wrong tho
@@tobb3h I’m on Mezzer what a fork
@@PerfectlyNormalHumanBeing no the chassis is stiff, the air spring stiffness is easy to adjust
@@OtterMTBtech oh gotcha, thanks for the clarification :)
Ok, now that you got into more sophisticated suspension brands, put any intend USD fork released in 2024 on your list of future reviews. Because then you might meet the real big boss of front suspension.
One day
I second this: I’m very curious about your opinion on an USD fork
Not sure I would trust a Marinara fork, getting parts would seem to be an issue.
I love my bubble tea forks
Pasta bro, nothing like home made Italian pasta
Push fork!!!!
unfortunate sticker kit...
Agreed
