Yea. It was hard knowing my long term bf (now fiancé) hated me having short pixie hair. Part of me regretted cutting it and wishing it would grow faster. Then i realized why should i change the way i look cause of a guy. He eventually got used to it after a year and he cant really picture me having longer hair anymore. ANYWAYS now i have a buzzed 1.5 inch haircut and happy with it. Dont let guys influence your looks unless its something harmful but if not (like cutting hair) do it! If he dumps you then he wasnt meant to be and only wants superficial qualities and not your personality.

This is so important to remember - your hair is not your identity. I keep forgetting this myself all the time, and I'm constantly looking for different styles cause I easily get bored with how I look. Maybe if I actually shave my hair off, I would stop obsessing so much of the hair I now I have, which is super damaged from years of colouring and bleaching..

I've been shaving my head on and off for a few years now and I have to say lately with all of these celebrities doing it, it has become more trendy and I don't get the odd looks, or people thinking I'm sick that I used to. I love it! It makes me feel free and happy. one less thing to think about.

I'm growing my hair out now from cutting it all off- my parents freaked out and hated it- and I'm realizing now that I honestly prefer having short hair. It blocks my face when it's long. Cutting it off made me appreciate the rest of my face more because there were no distractions from it.
I also had short hair for like 10 years i think and now i've been letting it grow long but i realize that it doesn't suit me but i decided to wait a bit and let it grow more before cutting it all off to be able to give my hair for an association who makes wigs for sick people who needs it. 😊

The message of your hair is not your identity is big and is something I personally resonate with very strongly. I personally feel more comfortable and more myself with short hair. But for years I had long hair, almost down to my waist, even if I didn’t feel completely me. All the compliments I got were on my long hair, how my hair made me look pretty. And whenever I’d mention cutting it people would tell me not to that I’d ruin myself and all. That I look prettier with long hair. People were valuing me based on my hair and I felt as if they liked my hair but not the person behind it. It took me a long time to get the nerve to cut it as I sulked in the fear of not being pretty or attractive to anyone. But I eventually learned that none of that matters. I don’t have to fit a standard, I don’t have to be pretty for others. Screw standards and screw all those people who told me those things and who think less of me or my appearance based on my hair length and style. I eventually cut my hair. And I did it for me. It was so freeing. I finally felt like myself and I felt empowered as I had done it for no one but myself and solely because I wanted to. Now every time my hair starts to grow, I always get comments of how I should let it go long because I’d look so pretty... those are the first people I’ll be sure to send photos to when I go and get my hair cut shorter again. 😉💞

I shaved my head for the first time in February. It’s an amazing experience. I found out that most of the time you will attract the energy you are projecting. There will always be people who think you are weird, but mostly you will get compliments. :)

I needed to shave my head due to severe hair loss. I admit I cried on the way to the beautician, in the parking lot, and the first shave was hand holding, tears, the works. Now months later and others suggesting wigs or whatnot. I still wear the beanies. But that’s okay too. Beauty is not defined by exterior. Beauty explodes from who YOU are. And as for the judgement of others. You find out the truth about everyone else. If you need or want to go bald? Go for it. Without fear, without shame. Your hair or lack there of is NOT who you are. People will stare and ask some really personal questions. Go for it - get your sarcasm on.

I shaved my head too and it was a really beautiful and inspiring experience every woman should have when I decided to do it I watch some videos on TH-cam about dos and don'ts to do it but the advantages just convinced me and I take the machine and cut all my hair to 3mm the feeling I have now and the feedback I get are so positive I'm proud of myself and even feel prettier as all the time every woman who thinks no man look at a her or think she's ugly or something else negative I must say why are you caring about what they think when your man or any other person says no don't do it I want stand by your side I only can say so fine than go!! when you want to do it then do it the only person who must love you be yourself and you will love yourself more when you do it :) that was my Experience

I just shaved my head, and I can say it was a wonderful experience and I am in no way sorry I did it. Why is it okay for a man to shave his head but not a woman? Why do we have to spend so much time on the beautifying the outside, when it's always the inside that people value. Be true to yourself. Take the leap. Most men find sexy long hair on a woman exceptionally beautiful, magical. It is "OK" to shave your hair. You did it, and no one jailed you. When I see a woman with a crewcut or headshave, I suspect issues, either medical or mental. Hey, I don't even think that buzz cuts look good on most guys, and I don't give a whit about what men look like.
When I get the chance to do a full head shave on someone, I do it the same exact way that he did... I take the Scissors and take the hair down as close as I possibly can, then clean up any left over stubble, and around the ears & neckline with a Trimmer, and then use an electric razor, not a Trimmer, or Clippers, but an electric razor to finish the job, and make that head just as smooth as a new born Baby's Bottom.

Long hair, on average, enhances beauty by 2-3 points. Exceptions are few, and just that, exceptions.

I just shaved my head, and I can say it was a wonderful experience and I am in no way sorry I did it. Why is it okay for a man to shave his head but not a woman? Why do we have to spend so much time on the beautifying the outside, when it's always the inside that people value. Be true to yourself. Take the leap. Shave your head if you feel like it, and screw what other people think.
Most men find sexy long hair on a woman exceptionally beautiful, magical. It is "OK" to shave your hair. You did it, and no one jailed you. When I see a woman with a crewcut or headshave, I suspect issues, either medical or mental. Hey, I don't even think that buzz cuts look good on most guys, and I don't give a whit about what men look like.

When I get the chance to do a full head shave on someone, I do it the same exact way that he did... I take the Scissors and take the hair down as close as I possibly can, then clean up any left over stubble, and around the ears & neckline with a Trimmer, and then use an electric razor, not a Trimmer, or Clippers, but an electric razor to finish the job, and make that head just as smooth as a new born Baby's Bottom.
