  • Last week I shared the use of fountain pen ink for painting night scenes in the book review for Tokyo at Night. This week I will share how you can use fountain pen inks in your artworks.

Cheers Alice , I Must say the effect you get when you removed that ink from the roof of that building with the bleach was cool !

I might have have a solution to taking the inks out for sketching. Put the ink inside of eye dropper bottles, the ones artificial tears for dry eyes come in. One can get empty ones in bulk. They're small enough that one could perhaps fit 6 to 8 bottles in a pencil pouch. From a dropper one can easily control how much ink they want to use. No waste. 😃👍 One thing to be mindful of is to keep the inks stored away from light when not using them as the bottles are transparent.
Thanks for the very helpful video. It's inspiring.

Thanks for sharing! That is a good idea. I use a tiny amber glass bottles with dropper to hold my inks. Plastic ones would be lighter to carry!

Awesome inks! Questions, what is the name and brand of the third paper to the right, on minute 6:30? Thanks! Looks beautiful!

I actually bought an ink last year for Inktober and had a difficult time using it. I was using as a wash with brush. It seemed to dry before too long on the paper. I couldn't get it to spread. I don't remember the name of it, right now.
    Thanks for sharing 😊

What paper do you recommend with doing ink washes, besides watercolor paper?
