Something that also works pretty well to make softer, pastel colours. You can mix watercolour into white ink. The pigment sets into the ink and it won’t run off
@@CreatingCuteArt It’s something one of my professors showed us. But basically you put a bit of white ink in a palette and then mix in some watercolour paint until you have the colour you want
Such a helpful ink and nib demonstration! The whales were so realistic and huge-ly beautiful. The effect of the ink was perfect for an undersea effect. My favorites were the pink- purple and the blue-green. Thank you for taking the time to explain in such detail.
I’m obsessed with INK ✍🏻 and different colors and bottles 💉🧪⚗️of ink and I can’t wait to have a real place to do everything ink in my own home! But I’m using watercolor for now…
I'm totally obsessed with ink, too! I got four new bottles in my "no budget art supply shopping spree" video right at the beginning, and I also did an 'all my ink' tour before that! I know what you mean, watercolor is a lot easier to wrangle than a lot of ink bottles (and doesn't usually stain), but man do I love playing with ink anyway!!
Perfect timing - I just bought my first bottle of ink - after having watched your last video! Haha! Thanks for posting this!
Oh my gosh, that IS perfect timing!! Enjoy!!

I love the chubby purple and pink whale, especially after that last bit of black ink!
Oh good! I love the sheening on that one!

I didn't know that! Do you know if there's any video around I can watch to learn that technique?

I enjoyed this video so much! Question: Do you recommend using filtered/distilled water or tap water is ok? Do you notice a difference?
I've only ever tried tap water!! I bet it would be super interesting to see what would happen with distilled! 🤩🤗
nice set of cute happy whales 😀
Thank youuuuuuuuuuuu!
