Why did I get a HYBRID Ford Fusion?

In this video I finally introduce my daily driver vehicle, my 2014 Ford Fusion HYBRID, and explain why I needed to get it. I also stop by my C4 Corvette in storage and run it for a bit to warm it up!

If you contract with a good enough company, they will probably try to work you more than you want to, so it really depends on how much you work you can do and be reliable enough they always call you first. By my experience, I tend to average out to about $1.00 to $1.20 per loaded mile. One year I did over 100,000 miles, but the next less than 50,000, so it varies greatly. The nice thing is the mileage deduction, which is a big factor on the profit margin.
I think it is reasonable to be able to gross at least 40-50k a year if you have the right contracts and are willing to work whenever they need you to.

How are the transitions between electric and gas motors? One of the knocks on the earlier Hybrids was the abrupt change over from electric to gas was unpleasant to the person driving which to my understanding made them less desirable to own. I think the newer Camry Hybrids get better gas mileage. Had you considered or test driven any other Hybrids?

Did you have to replace the Hybrid Battery?

I never did. I got it around 90k in 2018, don’t know if it was original then but I assume so, but I only had it for about 2.5 years after that. My assumption is the battery was original.
