Thank you for the tips, I just unboxed my new one yesterday. I had the new Mini 4K and was not impressed so I sent it back and purchase this one.
I have had Autels over the years, BUT they ticked me off since they do not carry batteries after they discontinue models, uugghh

You're welcome! Ah yeah, the Mini 4k just looks like the Mini 2 re-released with some minor changes. Ah, I didn't know that about Autel. Hopefully you'll have a better experience with the Mini 4 Pro. It's an excellent little drone! 😃

Sports mode landing is just incredibly idea.
Problem is how do you hold the drone and also pull the lever down at the same time 😂. I think we should press take off button

Hey Justin, great tips for us newbies! One question, what changes in Sports mode to allow hand catching easier? I thought downward sensors were active in all modes.
Hey! In all honesty, I think in sports mode the downward sensors have a larger acceptable range on where they will allow the drone to land. Whereas in normal and cine it wants to be more certain about the condition of the ground underneath. It's strange but it works.

Hey! This was from an accident with an FPV drone while ago. It was better to cover up the horrible looking nail beneath 😂 but also funnily appropriate
One thing to think about when hand launching and landing, skin removal and blood loss. I have flown rc planes for years. Those blades can do extreme damage, and I have a scar or 2 as a reminder. BECAREFUL.

Hey! RTH will still work at night but obstacle avoidance won't, so the drone might hit something coming home. It's better to have the drone set to return at high altitude for this.
As a beginner, I have to say thank you very much for your tips... I've been able to use some of them.
It's just that my videos always look muddy in final cut, but the original material is sharp and good... I don't know why that is :( I'm going to freak out :(
Maybe you can do a tutorial on how to edit your videos in final cut or something...
I have shot a video about which editing software I recommend, but I'm not sure it has much value. I would recommend checking your sequence settings first to make sure it's all as it should be (4k 30fps timeline) I haven't used final cut before but I'd look at that first and then check the export settings are also set at 4k

How can you hand launch when it takes both hands to pull both sticks down?

This might be really silly but how can I download my drone videos vertically?
Not silly at all. To get them vertically, you need to shoot them in vertical mode. Tap the rotate button. On the right hand side near the record button, there's a button to switch the camera from horizontal to vertical. It's the top one. As long as you record in vertical, your footage will be vertical when you download it

Good evening David! Wow, credit to you for getting back into flying drones again! Of course, there are a few options that I reccomend. You can do it through various editing software. If you're using a phone I recommend Adobe rush or Capcut. You can add your clips to the timeline and then also add music tracks to the clips as well. Alternatively if you're using a computer then I also reccomend these apps unless you have a Mac with iMovie, that'll also be good for this. Same again m, add your clips and then add your music and export. I hope this has given you a starting point. There will be some helpful youtube videos out there to help you along the process in more detail 😃
I have this drone, and it loses signal after 1 mile? Why
You might be in an area with a lot of signal interference. Also make sure you have a clear line of sight between the radio and the drone. Trees and buildings blocking the signal will significantly reduce the range. Hope this helps

You want a 100W charger - my 45W took 18 hours to do the three batteries, an Anker 100W did it in about an hour.
It takes 30W max on the charger
Best advice in USA... write your congressman as there is a bill that has passed committee to ban ALL DJI DRONES in America.
Is this a new bill or is it just the same one that prevents federally funded organisations from buying DJI drones? If it is that one then it doesn’t affect consumers.
